When you go to China You'll be surprised to see 1) most Chinese don't eat exotic foods/animals 2) We've so much in common with them like family values or cultural preaching 3) Literally no English anywhere 4) Tipping culture is non existence 5) No cash 6) Cleanliness of the cities 7) Ebike, E buses & EVs everywhere 8) Drinking alcohol on the street/ smoking everywhere😑 9) Early to bed early to rise 🤣 10) Dancing grannies everywhere 11) Skyline 12) Diversity from city to city 13) We buy Chinese phone they buy Apple 14) The most mobile dependent+addicted nation on earth 15) Very shy but if you approach they'll treat you like a celebrity.

I am Chinese, these interviews are very interesting, for Chinese people, most Chinese people have a good impression of Iran, on the one hand, because we all have a long ancient civilization, on the other hand, maybe because of Jin Yong's novel on Zoroastrian and the novel of an Iranian girl "Xiao Zhao". The interviewees' understanding of China is actually relatively simple. If they come to China once, they may have a great change.

Usually the Iranians I knew felt very much in common with South Americans, because also Iranians are very warm hearted people and have a southern temperament, which is usually more hidden. I was at the Mexican embassy in Iran and it was interesting for me, how similar they were, even normally Iranians don’t show the southern temperament a lot in public, it’s also a secret part of their personality, as I could see. And my experience was, that Iranians welcomed all foreign countries, because they are a isolated country and they are very happy to meet foreign people, no matter from where they are, because they are curious and interested.

As an ethnic overseas Chinese from SE Asia, my interaction with the Chinese from China has been both and bad. I guess this is nothing different from any other countries when you visit and interact with the people in the country. But having been born and grow up in a different country though Chinese myself, my thinking, lifestyle and food habits will definitely differ from them. I think the people are generally good, it's just the govt and political freedom there which I feel do not endear to people who are used to some form of political democracy. Still they have very beautiful and diverse natural scenery and an even more diverse ethnicities which a lot of outsiders don't know. To the iranians, you can find your close cousins in the Tashkurgan county in western china. There are also uyghurs, tajiks, tatars there that would look just like you. Uyghurs esp is a range from middle eastern looking to a mix of east asian and central asian looks.

Not gonna lie though cus I’m also an overseas Chinese… we do have a bias on China from the western perspective…. I also grew up with a negative view on China but since all this anti China rhetoric recently I felt brainwashed…. Western news is really filtered on China (goes both ways too) like think about it where do they get the news. They don’t understand the general public and just take the governments words at face value which creates over exaggerated news headlines. It’s really one sided. Think about it are any news of China even positive? It’s not even neutral…. Ofcourse China has issues like tons of it but it’s really not as negative as the western media paints it as. U have to look at China with another perspective and the west is not willing to try cus it clashes with their own beliefs. Both sides live in a world with filtered lenses on both sides. Unlike u ….I have a more positive view on China nowadays wow right. But it’s because I’m willing to deep dive on the news more like see it from both sides.

As an Iranian I just have positive things to say about China and eastern Asia such as Japan and South Korea. They have done so well with either their communism (like in China) or democracies (like in Japan). They have shown to Whites that nonwhites can achieve more. According to official figures, eastern Asian have much higher IQs than West Europeans or North Americans. These are facts. Also they live much longer and are healthier. Crime rate in a country such as Japan is almost nonexistent and more importantly they are extremely talented, where most electronic goods needed in Germany is built and imported from East Asia. They are very hard working too… this stereotype saying about them is so true: “anything someone does, an eastern Asian does it better.” Take Covid-19 as an example: How that communism government of China could much better contain it while the US failed so miserably… Also Chinese avoid trouble, which is good. The US, either in Taiwan, with UN condemnations or sensitive chip embargo, badly wants the reaction of China, like how it got such reactions easily from Russia to invade Ukraine to stop the cheap gas flow to Germany and force Germany to buy gas from the US, but Chinese so wisely avoid falling to old traps like these laid out by the US. The worse thing about East Asians is that they are more racist than Westerners… I mean Middle Easterns are not so welcome in a country such as Japan and if you are not Japanese in Japan, you would feel very bad and this is why eastern Asians despite all their virtues are not superpowers as such and Westerns are reigning in that regard… Eastern Asians are all closed countries and can be strong just so much… they are different than the US where all the world has relatives there… the US is a real empire, supported by all the world and no country can be compared to it.

China knows too little about Iran, because after modern industrialization, the West is very powerful. Most of the modern Chinese students went to the West to study and translated many Western literary works and movies. Therefore, in modern times, the Chinese have some lack of research on other regions. Some Western works smearing Iran were also brought in, causing some Chinese misunderstandings. Such as the Persepolis shot in France. Some Chinese believe in Iran smeared by the West, while others will empathize and support Iran to respect Iran. The same is true of what happened to China. If you look at the English media, most of them are negative news about China, and many of them are fabricated by the West. I recently followed a Chinese channel on bilibili that studies Iran, Syria and Hezbollah. I have a Hui Muslim friend who is going to college next year. I suggest that he study at Tehran University or Cairo University in Egypt, and let him translate some Middle Eastern literary works or movies and TV series to let Chinese people understand the modern Middle East culture.

Spreading love, helping your neighbor, and filial piety are all beautiful words we have always loved and we would really like if they spread. You may be wondering what made me say that even though it seems so obvious? My brother, I want to tell you that these words are fought by everyone. Yes, do not be surprised. Even there are those who are trying to distort their image. If you do not understand me now, I will simply tell you that it is the religion that has been subjected to a major distortion attempt, that it is Islam. My dear reader, I am a Muslim, I live in the Middle East, and I tell you that the image you saw of us is wrong. We are not terr.orists nor cannibals. We only believe that there is no god but ALLAH, and we love helping others without account. It is certain that in every society there is good and bad, but we cannot be all bad . Brother the reader, look for us and know for yourself who we are and what our religion is. We are the caretakers of our parents when they grow up and we advise our children not to look too much at women in the streets so that they can take comfort. I invite you, brother, and you are free to know a little about Islam. Peace be upon you.

Before and simultaneously with Zoroastrianism, Iranian paganism was the dominant religion, why shouldn't they convert to that, then? Islam has shaped Iran and is an inextricable part of its history, culture and intellectual tradition. The synthesis Shiite Islam with the preexisting Iranian culture is what is so unique about it, and it would be a tragedy (apart from being obviously impossible) to exchange that for a fetishized "return" to a religion almost no iranians ever practiced or care for. If you don't love Iran because of Islam, I'm afraid you won't ever love Iran, and should leave Iranians to determine what is and isn't theirs, and what is best for them.

Hate to break it to you, but nobody cares how you feel. What about the feelings of these oppressed men and women who are literally dying for their freedom? They have every right to protest and choose what they want to wear. The government should never interfere with that and enforce religion upon people. They are fighting for their freedoms. The girl that was murdered from the “morality” police was a human being, a daughter, a sister, a woman. Who gave them disgusting and vile beings the right to kill her because of a freaking headscarf? Do better!

Iranian women are fighting for their right to choose their beliefs and the way they dress. How come almost all of them that live outside of iran choose to not cover themselves? Because they don’t want the hijab. Why should this be enforced if they don’t want it. Let alone killed because they refuse to do so.
