My response wouldn't be to try and ram the cop if I was in danger. She seemed to be driving pretty well if the only concern was the drunk swerving which is most likely because she's too short to see properly. She probably saw a video online or something

Went to juvie for the first time when I was 16 and did learn new and better tricks from the older kids that were also locked up. Then I utilized those things I learned when I got out and then ended up going to real jail several different times. Thankfully nothing I got caught for were felony charges. Then at 31 my girlfriend got pregnant and I decided to grow up and change my life. They're far more details to the story but I gave you the abbreviated version. You're either 12 and have no life experience, or you have lived a very sheltered life and have a rich mommy and daddy who have protected you from the real world, and did not go to public school. There's five or six of these kids in every public school in America. You're The only one talking out of their neck in this particular comment thread.

There is a flip side to this. When I was 16, I looked,10. I got,pulled over 56 times in 3 months. Thus left me shell shocked!****

I was twice lucky that way. When I was in my teens, I looked like I was in my 20’s. When I was in my 40’s I looked like I was in my 30’s. Now that I’m in my 60’s, I still look like I;m in my 50’s but just with gray hair…😂

She might have "swerved toward him" when he was alongside because she looked at this vehicle coming alongside and pacing her. They used to teach "you go where you look", but that no longer seems to be common knowledge.

I wouldn't have a tooth left in my head and wouldn't be able to sit for a week if that had been me. My mom would've made sure I never wanted to drive again. Instead, these parents are like, "I know you're upset. This is me validating your feelings. You can't take my car because you're only 12. It's illegal. I'm just gonna leave my keys right here. They're not for you..." 😂

Useless video, not relevant to subject matter. But my 12 year old brother did worse when he jumped into my father’s new Buick and accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. He was in reverse gear, so the car shot out of the driveway, across the street, and into a huge old tree. As a result, the engine was shoved out the front of the car, and it was totaled. He and his friends in the car were okay, but it took a few days to find him, he was so scared.

That kid needs more discipline 😮😮

Kids have been taking cars before they were old enough to drive for ages. This has nothing to do with today's generation. No one knows the context. Maybe she was running away from a bad home. Maybe she was getting groceries for a family while her mom was working. Y'all always want to assume the worst of kids.

I watch news from all over. The one that looked strange to me is when two sitting at the news desk sat, turned and told each other the news report, glancing occasionally at the audience.

They make it sound like they did such a gentle pit maneuver stop. Broke the glass for her safety and acted nice ALL TO a girl who they didn't know was just a girl with all that gentle pit stop. Love to see that dash cam footage!!

Maybe, but something tells me there is more to the story and it's better to not throw the book, teach the kid a lesson, and help her to grow into a good person by being involved long past the court/jail stuff.

Heck. . . .i was even driving semi trucks at the age of 3 sitting on my dads lap with my teeny tiny hands on that big ole giant steering wheel out on the highways! Unless otherwise reported, nothing. Kids do kid things all the time, they just don't all make the news. They have their own brains, their own ideas, and have more influences than just at home.

The PIT maneuver (precision immobilization technique) or TVI (tactical vehicle intervention) is a law enforcement pursuit tactic in which a pursuing vehicle forces another vehicle to turn sideways abruptly, causing the driver to lose control and stop.

@@sashasabbeth6836 You're welcome. They approach the rear of the vehicle and make contact with the fender area. Once contact is made, they push the vehicle slightly which causes it to lose control when all conditions are met. You should be able to find drawings or videos online if you look it up.
