Few points are needed to be highlighted, Over all this project is very well needed at this time. Housing projects in Lahore are unorganized, either illegal housing societies are trapping investors in their off plan investment plans or planing housing projects with only one motive that is raising their financial numbers. On the other hand RUDA's plan is workable and it can change the entire concept of organized housing. Ruda will not only provide environment friendly housing solutions but also can cure the pollution sickness of Lahore. As far as I have studied about Ruda through different resources if they could really bring the change mentioned in their master plan or feasibility that includes Reforestation, water treatment plants, parks, organized housing, planned industiral areas and higrise buildings then it is worth it. However land owners must get their fair share with their rights secured in the process. But as mentioned in the podcast that where will those tenant farmers go? They can move ahead and can lease other lands that are not in the master plan. Obviously authorities must wait till the time of the harvest which is a common practice. Farmers who have illegally settled and do not posses the ownership documents must be taken care of in the process. I would mention this that no authority should abuse it power over the masses. But Over all this is a great initiative that has been taken to cure Lahore and make it a model city for the generations to come. I hope it does not only stays in papers like Kalabagh dam etc.

Ruda case should be challenged once again

Abdullah Niazi did a great job in explaining this complex story (just like Khurram Hussain) Also, with due respect, the host didn't add anything to this segment. Perhaps next time, have the reporter directly engaged with the viewers (instead of the host)

More than 90% of Egyptian population lives along Nile river. Only in subcontinent rivers are orphan here, why can't we apply construction innovation on our rivers to make them calm and beneficial for ourselves and irrigation.
