Hey everyone, I am Raushan Kumar, 4th year Medical Student in Samara State Medical University.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG (NEET UG) this year registered 23 lakh applications for the exam scheduled to take place on May 5.
This time, the National Testing Agency (NTA) recorded an all time high in the overall registrations for graduate medical entrance examination.
This time, a total of 23,81,833 students have registered for NEET UG 2024, of which over 10 lakh are male students, over 13 lakh are girls and 24 students have registered under the ‘third gender’ category.
Out of the registered 23 lakh students, over 10 lakh students are OBC NCL as per list, 6 lakh are general students, 3.5 lakh are Scheduled Caste (SC) students, 1.8 lakh students are from Gen-EWS category and 1.5 lakh are from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
Last year, a total of 20,87,449 candidates registered for NEET UG 2023 and the exam was held on May 7, out of which NTA recorded 97.7 per cent attendance and the re-exam was conducted for nearly 8,700 candidates. The exam was conducted at 4097 centres across 499 cities in India and abroad.
To apply online for NEET UG 2024, aspirants will firstly do registration on the webportal by providing required details, those already have done may go through the step-by-step instructions below to apply i.e. submit an online application form.

Lookout for ‘Login - NEET UG 2024’ and tap on it to get redirected to another webpage.
Enter your Registration Number and Password and then hit the Submit button.
Now, you will be asked to enter your basic and educational qualification details, fill in it correctly and proceed.
Here, you will be asked to upload documents’ scan copy with a passport size photo and signature.
At the end, you need to pay the application/examination fee through the provided payment method and submit the application form.
Documents required for NEET 2024 application form
1. One valid identity proof, such as Aadhaar card, ration card, bank account passbooks, passports, or any other government photo ID card.
2. Personal details: Detailed information about the candidate and parents, such as their name, date of birth, permanent address, active email address, and mobile number.
3. Images: An image of a recent passport-sized photograph, a postcard-sized photograph, a signature, and the impression of the left thumb.
