While the whole plant looks about as appetizing as Cordyceps fungus, Eleuthero or Siberian Ginseng is about as good of a health tonic according to lab research data.

The scary thing about this though is that in the wrong hand gene editing and a zombie fungus could result in a situation like this

It would be nearly impossible to turn this fungus into a viable infection. The human body is too warm and complicated, and there's no reason for the fungus to make such a huge jump. This won't happen in real life, and it's kinda tiring seeing so much misinformation being spread around.

@Geargorex cordyceps can't really grow there since it's too cold, but even if they did, the chances of that specific mutation happening are slim to none. Also, much of the chernobyl area is safe and isn't very radioactive anymore.

Also not to forget and to take into consideration is apart from warming up the planet the human average body temperature has been getting lower we have been thought it should be 36.5C but am always around 34/35 Celsius if I have a temp of 37 I am feeling rough bed bound and sweating while feeling ice cold not in a good place
