heres an idea for a fanfic; what if maul found the naboo ship on tatooine first. he ends up killing obi wan and the rest of the crew and taking the decoy queen back to naboo, thus making the trade federations plans persist. meanwhile, qui gon, jar jar, padme and R2 are now left marooned on tatooine, forced to live with ani and shmi and do odd jobs for watto to afford to either make contact with the republic or get transport
