The major problem with this being implement is what if one of the worst teams didn't have there own 1st round pick ?

It would be the biggest incentive to not tank & be utterly terrible.

And it would incentive teams just on the bubble of making the playoffs to tank and get rewarded with a generational talent. SO MUCH BETTER THAN THESE BOTTOM FEEDERS CONSTANTLY BEING REWARDED FOR BEING DOG SHIT!!

I think it would be cool to have a feature to import draft classes like they do in Madden, hell it would be so awesome to have more than 4 years of custom draft classes in a SnipenScore historical roster

The idea of lottery picks is helping the crappy teams become better, this would keep the worst teams down

That would actually be hella cool

This will not be fair for bottom team like San Jose.Anaheim CHICAGO and Columbus

They probably won’t do this because they try to give 1st overall to the worst team but the same way this would be like the lottery so it’s 50/50 if they do bring it up.

I think you make the bottom 4 teams play for 1st overall pick, then the next 4 play for 2nd overall, then the next 4 for 3rd and the final 4 play for the 4th overall. The teams in the 1st and 2nd pick cant fall past 8 to keep it somewhat fair.

I do not think the nhl should do this but if they do I think they should do is the 17th team vs the 18th. Than the winner of that game should play the 19th and the winner of that game should play the 20th and so on. If a team has traded there first overall pick the team that has that pick should play for them instead.

Cool idea

A flaw, is the teams who are good but not good enough would have a better advantage for this. Even with the worser team getting home ice advantage, i dont think this would be a good idea. On paper yes, in reality no

Big problem with this is the worst team in the league wouldn’t actually get the first overall pick like it should be. Instead it would be, teams who just miss the playoffs probably winning this tournament and the first overall pick :/
