So true we need people who actually do the job instead talk. Most of the people who do don't come to the limelight unless someone take it to the focus. These influencers business is to be in the limelight. I kinda respect their business for mental health but now it's high time we should have some people who really do..we need such leaders... terrified with the Amazon situation# save nature

I've been wanting to meet people that are willing to actually make a change. I try to convince my friends but it all comes back to there not being enough money. Where I live we don't have much problems with water pollution but I'd like to one day go to Mumbai with people and clean their beaches and stop the pollution from happening again. I'm only 15 soon going to college to study architecture and I hope to be able to get recycled plastic to make bricks for houses.

Empathy with fish won’t save the ocean. I’m not sure if designating it as protected is enough. Holding people accountable for environmental harm just might help.

No, it won't. The governent is resposible for the vast majoity of problems. They can just make up some BS laws that would make whatever they do completely legal.

You really need to use more than one microphone, to prevent this bad audio! Use a local recording lavalier mic on every speaker, so that good audio can be used instead!

Why dont we... no body wants to change their ways? We can still take care of earth

Caring people need to demand that our elected officials put regulations into place to stop industrial commercial fishing and industry that produce that equipment. Then we need to use our Coast Guard National Guard and whatever means necessary to enforce these laws and regulations. And people need to stop purchasing any kind of life that comes from the sea. Industries that harm life and ecosystems of the planet need to be eliminated.

What if we here at Brazil impeached Bolsonaro ? Haha, just kidding... Unless?

Good luck trying. Impeachment doesn't happen because people want to, it's a procedure that only happens if there are proofs of criminal activity during the mandate, as happened with Dilma Rousseff. ^.~

Don't worry will be fine, do as you wish just plant every where and go bike and no cars just buses. I wish no more cars and there a public buses beside a bike. There's more pictures than that one have you seen the higher quality ones those are satelite google maps satellite pictures. They do have more they have astronauts in the space station taking selfies with earth in the background.

The earth is a cube.

Governments wont change this, we have to as consumers. Biggest impact we can have is to go vegan and minimalist, recycle and don't waste stuff.

This is cool. If we replaced the micronutrients for the plants it would bind the nitrogen and carbon dioxide by increasing the biomass.

By using electrolysis on the raw elements we can help the plants grow.

Meanwhile, she probably takes a least four cruises a year.

You just proved yourself wrong. You know at least three words from the English language, and you are close to being able to create an entire sentence. If you want to correct yourself, I would suggest something like: _We know next to nothing._ I would be inclined to agree with you then. Nice little lecture by Sylvia Earle. However, she left out the major problem that will eventually doom planet Earth, OVERPOPULATION! Unfortunately, there is no way to stop or even cut back on it's continued acceleration.....What IF??????????

I have recently been looking at trends in population growth because I used to think that population growth was the main problem that life on this planet faces. It looks as though the human global population will peak later this century and then start to decrease. This gives me hope that we can still do enough to halt the devastation to our ecosystems, as long as we act now and all bring about the changes that we already know are necessary to safeguard the future of life on this planet.

They, too, will eventually reach the point where population growth slows, stops and eventually reverses. It will happen naturally, as people have fewer children when they expect their children to live to adulthood.
