Initially I had this video as the ending, for those who want an alternate finale kzread.info/dash/bejne/lIaKxblunNO9e7g.html Although in retrospect, I didn’t like the other ending because it requires a HEAVY suspension of disbelief due to a few plotholes introduced by the wish. The new ending in this video is more fitting to me, since it makes more sense and gives Vegeta a favorable outcome in his own scenario 🗿 In all honestly, I wasn’t sure where to take the story since I know either way, the ending would be decisive whether Vegeta won or lost. 😅 Maybe I’ll revisit this scenario one day because of it, but who knows. Hopefully you enjoy this one 👍👍

To be honest I'd say goku gets rid of Vegeta's immortality with the dragon balls when he finds out that he's immortal which would very much change the outcome of the story since he wouldn't have ego and he might've just reached blue

That was the original ending but salad thought it dint make sense so it was changed

1. Cell cant breath in space without Freeza's cells. 2. Why would Beerus want to train Vegeta when he didn't even like Vegeta to begin with. (Goku is the one that influenced Beerus the most) 3. I'm 1000% sure someone would have wished his immortality away or at the very least resorted to using the Mafuba. (Especially Cell. He should know the Mafuba if he knows all the Z fighters techniques. Also Piccolo knows the Mafuba) Great What If but those things really bugged me.

Firstly, let me say that I am not against stories where Vegeta gets the win. And although I prefer happy endings, I am not opposed to well written sad endings. But this ending kinda came out of nowhere and seemed really forced. It was great up until the last few parts. I think the biggest problem I have here is that there seems to be way more events that are forced in, instead of your usual logical approach. For example - No one trying the Mafuba, No one wishing Vegeta's immortality away after he attacked Earth, and the biggest one - Cell's decades of character development being suddenly tossed aside. That was the worst part of it. When Cell suddenly turned extremely power hungry and killed Broly, that felt like you were really forcing a certain series of events. Babidi couldn't even attempt to mind control Cell. That was how good he was. Also, if Cell was that desperate for a rival, then why not Broly? Broly is ludicrously powerful and can just keep growing. Cell should know this after he got some of Broly's power/DNA. And then let's not forget the Zamasu arc. Zamasu would definitely steal Vegeta's body. But ok, I get that since U7 earth is also destroyed, Champa would not instigate his tournament, which causes Zamasu to start acting up. But Zamasu acting up could have made for some interesting character development moments for Vegeta and Cell. I also think the Tournament of Power could have been a great place to explore and expand Vegeta's character beyond just "extremely angry" and maybe even expand Jiren as well since Vegeta is so ruthless, strong, and honestly somewhat insane here. As well as give a more satisfying end to the story. We could still have Vegeta as not a "good" guy but still be a more developed character. He could very easily be the next Beerus in terms of character - definitely not a good guy, but also not borderline psychotic like Vegeta is shown to be here.

Honestly, this was the comment I was looking for. While I still prefer the original 'Good Ending', the events that lead there don't make much sense in retrospect, and the canon 'Bad Ending' just feels like a massive slap in the face, especially if we consider Dragon Ball's themes and the character development. For starters, as some pointed out: Why didn't King Kai point out Vegeta's Immortality? Considering that this was after the Namek Saga, where Goku was well-acquainted with him by then, this should've been of utmost concern to him--a godly being who's supposed to watch the universe. And we know that King Kai isn't opposed to warning Goku of events around the universe, as we've seen him often do within the movies. But fine, if we can get that tangent aside, even then it doesn't make sense, since as many other people have also pointed out--why didn't they just wish Vegeta's Immortality away after the encounter on Earth? It's not the same as simply wishing to kill Vegeta, since if the wishing dragon can bestow immortality upon a SSJ2 Vegeta, there's no reason why he can't take away that power either--but this one is arguably more debatable. Beerus training Vegeta also doesn't make much sense either. While it does seem like he's a neutral being--the God of Destruction does have a sense of justice, even if it's not often shown, due to his laziness and being bad at his job. In fact, it's the main reason why he wanted to eliminate the Saiyans in the first place, albeit using Frieza to do it. So why would he train someone as unhinged and as clearly evil as Vegeta is? Beerus isn't exactly pure of heart, but you'd think he'd at least be competent enough to recognize that the prince is evil and that training him would bring further destruction to Universe 7. After all, he didn't train Freeza, despite his own insane potential. Even then, the biggest slap of the face is probably with Cell. Considering his birth, intelligence, purity of heart, and overall power, there's no reason that he would turn evil, even with the influence of someone like Broly and Vegeta. For starters, he had no reason to absorb the former, considering that Broly is misguided and not truly evil (which is a constant excuse used in other scenarios where he's spared)--so there's no reason that Cell wouldn't have sensed this, or at least would've considering sparing him. Even then, if he could feel the evil influence creeping up within him, there's no reason that he wouldn't find a way to eliminate it, or to simply not absorb such influence in the first place. It feels much too forced. Lastly, as for this ending breaking Dragon Ball's themes: Most of Vegeta's power wasn't truly earned, once he became immortal: There were no true stakes due to said power. In that sense, his last true battle was with Granolah. But I don't mind immortality being a plot point, as long one can recognize that with said power comes the lack of stakes--making this much more fitting for a villain, which is why I think Vegeta's win here is completely undeserved, and breaks Dragon Ball's themes. At least the series was fun up until the point that Beerus visits Vegeta. A theoretical punishment of eternal solitude would've been fitting, kinda like Porky's end in Mother 3.

Even after watching all of the takes on these videos, I can still happily enjoy this what if.

You know, I liked both of the endings! Though for my personal tastes, the original happy ending is more to my tastes, as the story feels like it was heading towards a “Hero’s Win” direction with Cell opening up to Goku and Gohan :)

Weirdly enough, I don’t like either ending. I felt this one was really abrupt and didn’t have much finality to it (then again, there’s no finality with immortality). It also feels weird for Cell to get overtaken by Vegeta’s more evil traits so fast considering he still has other DNA in him. It especially felt weird for a Cell that has cared for his family for a few years now turn his back on them. The original, as Salad said himself, required you to suspend your disbelief a lot and was a boring and predictable way to end it.

So not only did Cell have plenty of other DNA to decide his actions, he also had the years upon years of time with the family he had. He should’ve been acting more like DBS Vegeta at the very least.

All that would really change is the fight choreography. Furthermore a lot of the fights- even tournament fights are already pretty inaccurate. Take this from me, after all I am a experienced martial artist.

Vegetas wish to be immortal is definitely worth a consequence and I think it would be a severe loss in power since in canon a wish for power came at the cost of life span

What If Goku and Vegeta switch place with Chi Chi and Bulma, which makes the two Saiyan humans, though as for Chi Chi and Bulma, they don't necessarily need to be Saiyan, you could make Chi Chi like a wind controlling princess or maybe something like a Ox King version of a Saiyan, and as for Bulma, she could be the head scientist for Frieza, with Nappa and Raditz as her body guard

You should continue this. Since it ended with Goku and Gohan just dying they would goto Otherworld and since they are ‘friends’ with the Kaioshin and King Kai they can train in otherworld with gods to obtain SSG and above.

Would love to see some dumb shit where Vegeta leaves after the namek saga because he can't stand seeing Goku being cooler than him and after the cell arc and Buu arc (they got thru those because Vegeta never let cell get stronger and Goku fuses with Gohan too defeat Buu) when Beerus comes for the bog movie they find that Goku can't become ssg and they're fucked but then Vegeta shows up. He is ssg. He fights Beerus and the entire time Beerus and Vegeta are getting along and they're like "after this epic fight, you wanna blow this dumb planet and go train to be a G.O.D" and the z fighterz are like 😳 and then Goku manages to go ssg and then Vegeta and Goku fight as ssgods and they're evenly matched until Goku goes super Saiyan in ssg making him ssb and Vegeta can't do that so he cries.

@@MyThinThighs I would love to see something like that. But let's say Kakarrot can like in the original timeline and Vegeta can't. That means by the time Beerus is arriving all of the Z fighters with Kakarrot defending them if necessary can take him on. Even if he does turn SSJ eventually he would be worthless because everyone surpassed him. And no Trunks or Bulla because he wouldn't spend his time on earth like you said. I wonder if he couldn't ever reach even SSJ1 for his entire life. There are a lot of options here with screw the prince scenario.

Cell can delay his immortality regeneration? Does this mean he doesn't exist at all in the living world during this time since every cell was destroyed? He could be dead and then just decide to come back to life whenever he wants to return to the living world? Does this also mean cell can create some cell jrs to keep his old friends company, then regenerate and the jrs are left with the fallen saiyans as kinda a reminder of the good times?

cell can always regenerate as long as one cell survives. as long as even a little spec of him survives, he can regenerate, just like seen when cell self destructed in dbz

There is one thing I notice in your videos that contain Forced Spirit Fission. I don't think it works the way you use it. I don't think it can just drain someone of their energy, but rather can only split apart energies that we're joined together. The only reason it drained Moro of his energy is because it forced him to split with the energies he had absorbed from others.

Finally!!!

Now this was interesting. Nice to see an evil ending for once. Heros can't win in every scenario. This also leaves conflict for any continuity travellers like Cell Prime and Fu to encounter.

Why did goku have to wait until the hart virus acted up to take the Mads is it not good to treat as soon as possible?

I still hate this finale because honestly I’m sorry but the one thing about your little Vegeta saga was he claimed everyone use a bunch of cheap tricks to beat him meanwhile he’s a fucking coward using goddamn immortality

Stealing energy and teleporting is not really that brave either lol He used his Immortality to exploit an already established ability of the Saiyans, while the earthlings used magic to win. Plus the earthlings had Cell on their side.
