Bryce Papenbrook in general is really good at playing super mischievous short characters so him voicing Ruggie is a no brainer to me. Even in the Savanaclaw storyline, I could totally hear his voice when reading Ruggie's dialog lol

When I heard Childe's voice on Ace I had to take a few minutes to compose myself because I made a joke about Ace and childe being alternate universe counterparts recently because I didn't want to start cackling like some sort of gremlin.

I think it would be really funny if we had Sebastian's VA as one of the major characters, maybe not specifically Crowley, because I'm pretty sure Black Butler's creator was involved in this project.

She was! She designed all the characters and outfits in game! I think Sebastian's English VA in particular should be Crowley because Crowley specifically reflects Sebastian's arrogance and smugness in later chapters of the manga. Especially the "Aren't I such a generous person?", sounds like something Sebastian would say.

I think having J Michael Tatum on the TWST cast would be a neat nod to the Black Butler series but I don't think he should have a main role. If I'm remembering correctly since Tatum can actually speak French maybe giving him Rook Hunt's role would be a good fit! He'd have the right tools for a lot of Rook's lines/nicknames and have fun with Rook's more trolling & mischievous moments.

Yuri as Malleus is something I didnt know I needed, as in another fancast video I saw him as Jamil, both of those fit him pretty well, Yuri can do some good accents lol. but I am looking at the fact he can play Malleus well in a supposed english dub!!!!

I feel like voice for Vill would atcually fit Rook more heh, just personal opinion ^^

Ohhhh I agree with a lot of these, still a few I'd change, personally, but you have the most agreeable list I've seen thus far!

The only one I disagree with is Leona because I feel he needs a deeper voice, but otherwise this would be spot on what I imagine they would sound like English dub. I'm amazed you took the time to do this. Good job 👏 👍

How about Yong Yea? He voiced Teddy in "The Darkest Tales". I think he's the perfect fit for Leona since he has a deep baritone voice and all.

For some reason I can't imagine Venti's voice actor as Grim.. I can only imagine Bakugou's voice actor as him lmao💀💀I mean all the voice actors are very talented but u know what I mean😭🖐

Aaron Dismuke fit voicing either Vil or Rook. When I hear him voiced Moriarty, I am convinced he can voice Vil. Im basing Vil's voice in the fandub of Team Avalon and Aaron's William Moriarty voice suits Vil the most.

The VA you chose for Epel sounds exactly how I would describe how I imagine his voice, soft but with a definitely boyish air about it (idk if most people would see the VA's voice that way, it's honestly just how i perceived it)

Not that anyone asked, but I’m gonna write my opinions of each here: 0:24 Ace It’s so hard for me to get past that fact that it’s just CHILDE, but it’s not a bad pick. I’d probably have picked someone with the same kind of voice as well, just not… him… (nothing against Griffin Burns, amazing va, but Childe… *Snezhnaya’s Greatest Love Machine place menacingly in the background*) 0:39 Cater I can see what you were going with, but he’s a bit too, idk the word, manly? Agressive? Idk. Not bad, but not right either 1:02 Deuce Too soft spoken. I think people forget that he was literally a BadBoyTM in middle school 1:12 Trey You know, not what I was expecting, but I kinda like it. It fits surprisingly well 1:22 Riddle YES!! This is very good casting!! People always pick Ciel’s va for Riddle, but he sounds too boy-ish imo. I like this much better 1:35 Epel You know, I didn’t expect Khoi Dao for Epel, but it’s not bad. I can just imagine Khoi with a country accent XD 1:57 Rook Tbh this voice would probably fit Vil better, and Vil’s va would fit Rook better 2:19 Vil Again, switch Vil’s and Rook’s vas and you’re as good as gold! 2:47 Azul Nope, too deep. I imagine Azul’s voice to be smooth, flow-y even. It’s has that rythme to it, one carefully thought-out word to the next (probably also relates to my hc of him having social anxiety but that’s not important rn-). Keith Silverstein’s voice always reminded me of stone. Smooth, but jagged, no flow-y-ness to it at all. It just doesn’t sit right in my mind imo 3:15 Floyd and Jade This va fits Floyd much better than Jade. I definitely think they would have different vas, and Jade’s voice would probably be a little deeper and with a bit of elegance I think 3:29 Silver Pretty good. Idk too much about Silver, but it seems to fit well enough 3:38 Malleus You know, not the first voice I’d expect, but it’s not a bad choice for him! I can also see his voice being a bit deeper, but I like this one too 4:00 Sebek Not bad, but not my first choice. It would be pretty funny to hear Sean Chiplock yelling all the time tho XD 4:22 Lilia You know what, I like it. Just add that Lilia flair, and I think this voice would fit pretty well! 4:45 Leona This voice fits really well!! It’s pretty close to how I imagined it, good pick!! 5:01 Jack I can definitely see it! The second portion of the sample, the deeper voice part, fits better imo, but all around a good pick! 5:20 Ruggie I swear I will never escape Bryce Pappenbrook, every anime or tv show I watch, he’s there!! But anyways, it’s… ok, to say the least. Not what I would expect. Ok imma be real, I don’t really care for it. Bryce is a great va, but I don’t really get the Ruggie vibe from him. it doesn’t fit right (I love how I gave a whole explanation for why Keith doesn’t fit Azul, but this one is just “sorry, he doesn’t pass the ✨vibe check✨ for me”) 5:35 Kalim I can kinda see it. I see where you were going, but he sounds a bit too deep for me. Though I think it’s a voice I could get used to with time. (Also, rest in peace Billy Kametz 😢) 5:48 Jamil Yes yes YES!! This one fits perfectly! He has passed the vibe check!! He has the same calm, chill, I don’t give a crap kind of vibe that Jamil has, and I respect that 6:05 Idia You know, it fits him pretty well! Again, it wasn’t what I was expecting, but it kinda grew on me 6:21 Ortho It actually fits pretty good! It gives him the boy-ish sound without being overbearing, I like it! 6:44 Crowley Of course it’s Sebastian va, cause we can’t escape the fact that TWST and Black Butler have the same author for one second, now can we? I hate the fact that it sounds so perfect, I can practically HEAR the “because I’m so gracious~” (/lh) 7:05 Grim No. Absolutely not. Never. I refuse to put Erika Harlacher through such pain- (/j) Ok but seriously though, I can kinda see what you were going with, but I think Venti is as boy-ish as it gets for her, and idk how she would pull off the whole “rabid, talking cat familiar” vibe That’s all! I agree the Twins need seperate VAs unless they can find a VA with really good range who can do similar but unique voices.

I would have NEVER imagined grim as shinobu in my entire life rn-

I have to admit, Jonah Scott is not a bad choice for Leona. I can also see Ian Sinclair, Crispin Freeman or maybe Blake Shepard as his voice. They all have very distinct tones and I believe they could get his personality down excellently. Although, I can see Matthew Mercer as his voice too.

I feel like for some, they need a voice higher or lower. Vil and Rook's VAs should be swapped and they will fit. But overall I agree with this list!

I see Grim more with Meowth's voice than anything, not trying to be rude or anything

I can see that too! Since I find Grim's voice to be a little annoying in the original, and since we'll be hearing Grim throughout all of Twisted Wonderland, I thought a more child-like voice would be fitting so his recklessness and immaturity comes off more understandable and tolerable.

Okay but like hear me out on the faculty's voices: Sam's English va should be Hawks.. don't know why it just seems fitting to me.. Coach Vargas' English va should be All might's voice actor although I'm not too sure on it because potentially he could also be voiced by Wakatoshi Ushijima from Haikyuu.. which to me could work if voiced in the right way.. Professor Trein's English va should be someone who can voice an old looking character like Silver fang from One Punch Man or Aizawa.. I don't know why but I though it might work... And for Professor Crewel's English va.. I'm not too entirely sure but I thought that Ban could be it or Leorio from Hunter x Hunter... and then maybe Kuroo.. but I'm sure there's a better fit for him... If you read this comment feel free to discuss if there's a better voice for the staff..

I can imagine. Way too many people are gonna get "offended" at the portrayal of the villain-based characters doing shitty things before their Overblot breakdown. I already saw a trigger warning list on Twitter a while ago that was just ridiculous. If someone is offended or triggered by Twisted Wonderland, I think they need more help than avoiding an anime about pretty villain guys.

I personally agree with almost all of these: Except Lilia, Azul, Rook, Vil and the Tweels But the first four is just I think Lilia and Azul and swap their voices and Rook and Vil should swap their voices as well, no problem with the actual voice ideas But with the Tweels I just think they should have separate voice actors, the pick would fit Floyd but I think Jade could keep his JP dub VA cause if I remember right he knows English? But if I’m wrong and am just remembering incorrectly I just think the concept of the twins having different VAs so one has a deeper voice and the other having a higher voice is neat I just always found that kinda neat with the official JP voices

I think it's just me but I can picture Robbie Daymond having way too much fun giving Rook a ridiculous French accent and going all out with the performance. For Vil, I just can't help but picture Ayame Sohma because they're definitely pretty similar!

I would imagin Christopher Sabat to be rook instead of Vil mostly because the acting fits his persona better. I would think vil would have a more of an elegant and feminine male voice for him
