I think in the original story of Mulan the king wasn't quite as good of a king. He decided he wanted to take Mulan as a concubine, and given that he's the king, she couldn't exactly refuse. The lack of consent made her incredibly depressed and I think she killed herself in the end

Repunzel: She is never recognized as the lost princess and is executed for hiding a criminal Ariel: Caught when she is spying on the boat, and she is sold at a very sketchy market to the highest bidders, only to live the rest of her life in a tank. Elsa: She can’t find a way to reverse the spell and she can’t undo the frozen heart of Anna so she freezes herself so they can be together forever. All of a sudden I don’t remember any princesses lol.

How is repunzel excuted for hiding a criminal when she was the one kidnapped and didn’t even know her “mother” was a criminal???????

What actually happened in the real Mulan story is that when she came home from the war she finds out that her dad died and her mom remarried, and the emperor requests for her to become his concubine, so she ends up killing herself.

I mean the original Little Mermaid was a tale about unrequited love. She wants to be human to be with the prince and Ursula can grant that at the cost of her every step feeling like treading on knife edges and a quest to make the prince fall in love with her before a certain deadline, and if failed? imminent death will ensue. She fails to fulfil this but is given a second chance by her sisters who’ve made a sacrifice to Ursula, given a chance to live on as a mermaid by killing the prince and his misses before sunrise, but she ultimately backs out because of the guilt she already feels and jumps into the sea before turning to bubbles. The Little Mermaid was originally written by H. C. Andersen who had feelings for his friend Edward Collin, that never were requited. It was written during the Danish golden era (1800-1870)

I used to watch his movie with my grandma all the time. Thumbelina was one of my favorite parts. As was the ugly duckling. I still sing the songs. ❤ i felt so bad for him. He was such a sweet soul with such amazing stories.

Mulan's original chinese story was actually more tragic. She fought the war and never got the prince because he had to marry the hun princess for diplomatic peace. So she went back home and lived the rest of her life completely lonely.

The Mulan one is very inappropriate because she would have NEVER become one. She would have still lived trying to be the ideal daughter they wanted her to be. If the story went wrong, the worst that could happen was that she died in the war or with Shan Yu on the rooftop. But either way, to become an empress, she had to marry the old king since he had no sons, which seems a 911 thing to me lol.

If Mother Gothel killed Rapunzel then they would both be dead

In the original book, Little Mermaid had to kill the prince to return to being a mermaid or else she would turn into sea foam. Her sisters gave up their hair to get a special knife for her with which if she killed the prince, she could become a mermaid again but she loved him so much that she couldn't so she kissed him on the forehead and as soon as dusk broke she jumped into the ocean and turned into sea foam.

I love how they all still looked flawless

Literally most original versions of fairytales be like that or worse 😅😂😂 Ariel in the original feels like her feet are stabbed by knives during her whole stint as a human and the prince marries someone else. Snow White nearly gets killed 3 times and then woken up by a possible necrophiliac abducting her casket. She only wakes up because a servant trips while carrying said casket which makes her fall out and dislodge the poison apple. Belle in one version nearly kills the Beast by leaving, which is planned by her family who try to make Beast eat her. Aurora wakes up because her child (she doesn’t know she had, go figure how that happened) sucks out the thorn in her finger. Maleficent is also the wife of the king that impregnated her while she was unconscious. She nearly get burned to death by said wife. Rapunzel gets cast out of the tower for getting pregnant and the prince jumps off the tower when Gothel tricks him which makes him permanently blind as he lands in thorn bush. I think they do find each other after years and she magically restores his eyes but still…

Mulan married the son of the general. She was friends with the three princesses, the daughters of the emperor, but she was never born or married into the Royal family. Thus, making her never a queen nor princess. She would have been a woman of nobility, but that would have probably been it.

Everyone else: *dead or suffering until imminent death* Mulan: 🎵but I was depressed🎵

I’ve never felt this ending being so realistic and childish. Ariel most likely made a deal to sell her vocal chords for human feet to walk on landlocked areas. Only to be out of time, if she does not find her Prince and kiss him. In the original story, the ending was quite depressing and unexpected. Ariel realizes it was too late for her to make sure her Prince falls in love with her. After she failed her mission, She gets turned into soap and misty air then deceases. So yeah she basically is dead. That was straightforward to the actual ending of the story. I use to watch Jon Solo Explained, he is a storyteller KZreadr who makes content on the original story of the Disney Fairytale movies and a lot of them have messed up and a darker twist to them. Disney just made it PG-friendly for children under 9 to consume their movies and more approvable for the parents.

Ariel:died coz the sea was full of plastics Snow white:got killed coz of the 7 dwarf Mulan:died in war Belle:Killed by the beast 👇🏾

For me Ariel: got captured by Ursula Snow White: died of the apple Mulan: killed during war Belle: Gaston marries her

Areal in the pollution part looked so pretty

The story's are very dark, and they are a awesome read. And the the different dark versions make them fun and interesting to read.

I really enjoyed this but Belle doesn't look like she was attacked by Beast...more like she was just caught in a fire. Which is terrible & 1 of my biggest fears but doesn't look like an attack. Amazing job on the animation tho. Can't wait 2 c more! 🐈‍⬛🖤💋

Mulan can never claim the position of empress consort. Knowing the emperor's age, he already secured an alliance with the empress consort's family early on. Even if he were to be around Mulan's age, it wouldn't be possible because Hua family isn't of much importance as to be something that the emperor needs advantage out of. Mulan would at most be an imperial concubine (I think or smth else, some rank lower if there ever is one) but even then, it is required for Mulan to be of noble family I think. Mulan can possibly suffer depression from it and sure could be upset, but can't do anything about it as denying an imperial order can cost her life and bring shame to her family. Her family can even be blacklisted if the emperor desired. Mulan, at the palace, will be tormented by the imperial harem and possibly have to force herself to participate in it for her own survival. She is either abandoned and ignored or she will either die caused by the fight in the imperial harem, either she gets framed or her crimws get exposed which costs death penalty. Even if she does survive, her heart may already corrupted by greed, will be driven insane amd may even mistreat her own future child, even possibly trying to kill other concubines' and wives' children

I love Mulan even though i haven't even watched the movie, it's because she's a girl that wants to be a knight as a boy- that is pretty much all i know about her 😅 But for Ariel's alternative ending, (it's long but read it pls) When her dad and the others found out that she went to/wanted to come to the surface, her dad locks her underground until the pRiNcE came to save her but he suffocates and loses breath and ☠️ RIGHT infront of her eyes. After she cries, and cries, and cries until her tail also 'discintegrates?' within his leftovers. She then emerges out of the ground clawing the sand, CRAWLING on sand, after the sea and without a mind, she ☠️ her fellow mermaid merman friends and family, including.. her own father. But she does not ☠️ him like the others, she SL!C3S him and lets the pieces eaten by crabs and sharks. Buuuutt the guy that wanted to save her wasn't exactly him, it was a clone made by that purple 🐙 So the real guy was slayed by Ariel herself mindlessly. When she woke up, she was in human form, then she found the ❤ of her life d34d beside her. She then remembers what happened and she cries (and idk what else to put here :D)

For Ariel I would make her death a death by turning into sea foam due to how the original story ended.

Technically, "Happily ever after" means happy after death so..... ain't wrong if they weren't happy after.

Disney should do a story where the princesses doesn’t get a happy ending and make a sequel where they do

3 of them already have bad endings originally. Little Mermaid becomes a seafome after the prince rejects her. After winning the war, instead of being honoursed Mulan becomes the concubine of the emperor and kills herself. Belle is drowned by her jealous sisters. Snow White does have a happy ending but the probable bad ending would be that instead of placing her in a glass coffin, the Dwarves could bury her alive thinking that she’s dead so the Prince never finds her.

I remember someone said that in the original Beauty and The Beast, belle was completely eaten by the beast after her father turn her in to save himself and her sisters. Idk lol

Ariel did stab herself in the chest, throw herself into the sea, & become sea foam in the original tale. I received a beautiful old edition of the collected works of Hans Christian Andersen & that of the Grimms Brothers for my eighth grade graduation. I knew it ended with her death but my god it broke me to read that. Especially as the prince just genuinely falls in love with someone else & she doesn’t want to ruin his happiness.

I'm confident I can think of better Dark endings, so if you want to go by the movies, here: Ariel: Prince Eric never fell in love with her, and she became Ursula's slave, forever trapped in the body of one of those little Leech looking things, or possibly Ursula kills her with the trident so that she can't interfere with plans. Snow White: You could go the zombie route, or have her under the Apple's curse in the glass coffin until her body decays. Mulan: Died in battle, possibly blown up from the fireworks at the end of the movie, or buried under snow in the avalanche she caused Belle: Either killed by the wolves, yandere Gaston, or she doesn't fall in love with the prince and he becomes a real beast after the rose wilts, and kills her

Little mermaid original story is actually basically what the movie Ariel is but it’s the opposite the prince, never liked Ariel, and she turned into bubbles which Basically she died.

For Mulan, I would have put shot and k!lled in battle

Honestly I feel like a worse thing for ariel would’ve been this: imagine Ursula says she can grant her legs. Fast forward they do surgery and cut off her whole tail and have someone do surgery to combine someone’s legs to her torso.

Actually Ariel, would be shriveled down into a soul as the sea witch thing. Said if he doesn't love her by the next sunset she will become her soul.

Ik ppl are saying Mulan should have "died in the war". But this is real torture for her.

They should do a "What If" like Marvel did, explaining what would happen if things didn't go well for the Disney Princesses, and have a bad ending or they turned into something different.
