ECI doesn't give value to NOTA as it's just 1 % , if the percentage comes to 10-20% then maybe they'll be forced or atleast it'll make political parties realise the power of voting ..........dissent should also be a choice ......js by not putting vota and the best candidate out of the worst (andho me kanha raja ) isn't it showing a wrong message we being the largest democracy that we don't value dissent.....I feel we must put NOTA and if it's percentage increases eci and parties will learn a lesson

Suggestions: 1. If NOTA gets maximum votes, fresh elections to be held, all existing candidates and their relatives disqualified. 2. If NOTA gets 35% votes, and any other candidate doesn’t secure more than 50% votes, then also fresh elections. 3. If NOTA wins again in subsequent election, then next candidate getting the maximum votes wins the election.

He is the head of the famous Dharmasthala Manjunatha temple. His family member is alledged to have raped and murdered a girl, Soujanya amongst others. A mentally retarded man Santosh was falsely implicated and jailed for 11 years. Only to be acquited and released a year ago. Now there is no accused in the case.

Secondly, if an ex-MP/MLA participates for another time then his/her previous work should be scrutinized and a ranking system should be implemented to see the previous performance.

good video, IMO if Nota wins then there must be re elections irrespective of how many times we have to do it, it's better to re iterate until we find the good one rather than choosing bad ones. Also another most important thing must happen that if a winner changes party after results or during is service tenure then they must be disqualified and must have re elections

True. Party se koi matlab nahi lekin koi to candidate layak lage. Compare karne layak candidate hi nai hai to nota hai hi na dabayege.

Well explained ji There shud be some legal implications on candidates who lose against NOTA. Bcoz ofc they wud have campaigned and ppl know them and still have chosen NOT to vote for them which means they are in search of better candidates. Thus there shud be both disqualification of the existing candidates and re election with newer candidates. If the second time ppl still make NOTA win then the candidate with the highest votes shud win. This mitigates the risk of an endless cycle of re elections while also offering ppl a chance to go for better candidates.

Why Re-elections should not be conducted? 1. Re-elections will need a lot of resources to be conducted repeatedly 2. At the end of the day, we all need someone to run the government, we can't keep the goverment vaccant for a long time 3. There are chances that re-elections will again choose the same party which has had maximum votes just below NOTA votes. When re-elections should be conducted? As u said people who are not liked by the public/has criminal background/is a suspect in big crime will be highlighted by the countrymen through majority in NOTA votes & they will be disqualified, actions will be taken. This will give voice to the Democracy to choose the correct leader in extreme cases like these So, NOTA should be kept as a parameter to determine this aspect when in need. When proven a criminal legally NOTA should come in action and fresh elections should take place. Thankyou

1. If NOTA wins then there must be re-election. 2. If NOTA wins every standing candidate from that place must not take part in re-elections ( but all the parties can send their other candiates for re-election). 3. Re-elections must continue until a candidate gets majority votes also greater than total NOTA votes. This will give voters power to disqualify the standing candidates if they think that all candiates are not worthy of their votes. This will also give power to people where there is only 1 candidate standing for election. People can remove him if they vote NOTA. How is it democracy if Voters don't have these powers? At the end it's a government "of the people, for the people and by the people". Also NOTA votes are very less as compared to total votes, so this will not have a high impact in re-elections until people don't want all of the candidates to disqualify.
