For Whom the Bell Tolls is one of my favorite Metallica songs and doing it in the style of Megadeth just sounded great🤘🏽

favorite is Metallica played in style of megadeth, the tone fits the whole experiment 100%, it sound as if this thing was reality

Man, I'd love to hear vocals to most of those, especially the For Whom the Bell Tolls one! Dave's snarly vocals sound right at home to that riff!

Honestly it all sounds great. Putting the II II II II through its paces on this one, and it delivers!

The perfect amp for this video. I've been using the || || || || since it launched and it's my go to for heavy, drop A-tuned guitars. The tones really fit in the mixes here Pete. Just a shame you couldn't get a guest vocalist in to do some Dave Disdain over the Metallica riffs! 😁

Absolutely love the II II II II for high gain tones. Sounded mammoth in this for sure. Great video Pete!

Excellent what-if video and I loved the results you achieved with each variation. The II II II II can deliver a ton of tone options with all of its options, that's for sure. Hearing the songs from different eras and how consistent the II II II II sounded was kick ass to say the least.

II II is simply GROWTAL!! My favourite modes are The Otto, 1991 and supercollider coupled with cabs 1, 7 and 13. I use it with the gain lowered and the WIIDTH activated, always honest and beastly.

Hey, Pete! The "Sad But True" riff is just different enough from the original that you could make an original song with it. Seriously. It's a good riff that kinda feels wasted here. Yeah, I know it was written to show how Megadeth might have written the song, but still, it's an awesome riff in its own right!

Lol I love how the camera pans to the picking hand at 2:11 to highlight the down-picking skill for that riff lol

Dude I would pay millions to hear a full version of Peace Sells in the Load style, great work!

I think this is a good example that justifies Dave remaining in Metallica. If Dave and Cliff were around together long enough I can't fathom how many great songs would have been made.

In my opinion the metallica style symphony of destruction sounds better than the original riff it fits the song

Symphony of Destruction in Metalica style sounds like Iced Earth and it's awesome, it would have been one of the best riffs ever written

To answer that question, all you needed to do was listen to "The Mechanix" from Megadeth's first album then listen to "The Four Horsemen" from Metallica's first album.

Next do if Ozzy and Dio swapped

Jeez, the Master Of Puppets in Megadeth style sounds like a legit song from Rust in Peace album. And the Bells are really like something from Peace sells album

One 'freebie' so to sat would be The Four Horsemen, originally written by mustaine during his metallica day and he redid the entire song to 1-up them after he got kicked out, that is one song that lets you see the switcheroo on their albums... can't for the life of me recall what tge megadeth version was named though

Massive fan of all things Megadeth i mean i checked the other day and i have nearly 250 of their songs on one of my playlists but i have to say as far as riffs go i would put both versions of peace sells side by side in S tier because the original slaps but that load era version has a real evil dread type sound of witch i fucking love. Fucking banger of a video Pete awesome job on those alternate reality riffs.

Awesome job as usual, but maybe as you are a young man you chose some songs as Call of Ktulu which were written by Dave Mustaine as well. This is the reason why they use the exact same chord progression of the hangar 18 riff...

As a mainly Metallica listener who rarely listens to Megadeth, I completely forgot that Hangar 18 was the same chords from Ktulu. It's funny too because, right before that section came up, I was thinking: "it would be pretty funny if he did Mechanix, and then just played Horsemen normally.
