Interesting enough, it would be cool development. To be half-hero and half-villain. If Metal had some good in him. He'd be an anti-villain at best

I’m really enjoying this series so far. I too have made a couple what if episodes exploring Metal’s potential for good, so I’m glad to see I’m not alone in that thought process

I wasn't expecting much I will be honest, but this is much better than I anticipated. Metal Sonic is definitely one of those characters where true change and growth comes slowly. So far no ones broken character to speedun his development, and that to me is the mark of good writing. Using Mecha Sonic in the narrative was a clever way of planting small seeds of doubt into Metal.

Metal Betrayed by his creator and replaced by a "Superior" Model aids his former Adversary and Organic Counterpart Sonic realizing what he has done wonder what path he should walk?

It was eggman fault he closed the door before metal got him😂

so this is just the sonic version of what if Cell from DBZ turned good

Fun idea so far! Excited to see where this goes!

This has been so good already including Sonic saying it's his birthday get to fight didn't doppelgangers

I think at this point if Metal Sonic stays as an Eggman sidekick he'll be wasted potential. They should build on his motivation to become more than just 'metal sonic' from sonic heroes

Ok as a Metal Sonic fan myself I do find intrigue with this idea for a what if. But the timeline here makes no sense, like the whole bit with amy and the bit with Tails feels more like it should happen after Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Because the timeframe of events in S2 and S3&K wouldn't work to have this happen in where you put it. As I'm sure Amy and Tails aren't aware of each other until after the main 4 classic games. Also because of how S2 goes Tails would be way too busy fighting Robotnik with Sonic, and one other key detail, S3&K happens immediately after S2's ending.

@@luigifaniac1312 oh, really nice. I really love the guy he grew up on me throughout the Archie comics. The only thing that has dear with my disappointment on him not being brought back was a fic that had Idw being the post SGW world and a bunch of characters from pre SGW got brought over. Well not all of them but some migrated. The fic is Rediscovered Frontiers if you want to read it yourself Summary: Tangle the Lemur and Whisper the Wolf are no strangers to having adventures. They've teamed up with Sonic the Hedgehog and taken on the creeps that threw their lot with Eggman by themselves. But this latest adventure is turning out to be a strange one. An old PDA found in the forest spat out a holo-lynx that called herself Nicole, and she's begging for help to find her friends. Well, Sonic is unavailable so its up to these two heroes to help out their new friend… and discover some shocking truths about their world. They currently have gotten back to Mobotropolis right about now. Tangle and Whisper talking about how the politics of the council is pisspoor compared to how actual democracy works was pretty damn funny..

@@luigifaniac1312 it's good enough yeah. I remember reading a omake on Nicole and Sally ending up on Scrapbik Island and laying low for abit. They got accepted by the community especially Sally since she's still in her Mecha state right now. The whole scrapnik island storyline happened around that time Mecha sonic ending up touching Nicole PDA and had some of Shard's memories and feelings absorbed into him for a time before they eventually faded. It was more like Shard talking through Mecha Sonic rather then Shard overwriting Mecha's existence as a whole. He was trying to talk down Mecha Knuckles and Nicole and him had a nice reunion before he faded away for good and Mecha regained complete control tho he did retain some of Shard's code in his psyche.

This background Sonic Mania gameplay is actually irritating. At least make the gameplay better than then restarting the level if they cant get over a slope because they are unskilled, OR just dont put the gameplay if it SUCKS
