Cool fanfiction. I could see this happening. Vader was consumed by the dark side and was in turn, full of hate. However, he deeply cared for Luke and would do anything to get him by his side.

Part 2 is really needed. Han and leia engaged. Luke seeking asoka tano. The rebel alliance beginning to think about the first steps to take on the path to restore the Republic. Luke training leia. So many things for a part 2 perhaps even a part 3. If your up for it I know that it's going to be well worth the Wait. Thank you so much for the content that you provide. Couple things here: I think that, even if Vades survived and turned over a new leaf, there'd be literally LEGIONS of beings with scores to settle with him Good or not. 2. Said legions, if they couldn't get at Vader would probably settle for trying to take out Luke or Leia if it got out they were Vader's kids. All 3 would be marked beings...

I had to let you know at 15:48 with Luke and Vader training and at 20:39 with Luke and Vader (carrying a purple lightsaber) when fighting Sidious, those were from my deviantart from my own What if Vader trained Luke in my own fan fiction and redeeming Vader early, but I would like to thank you for using them. Actually in the novelization Vader actually did order the ships to circle back and pick up Luke. They were just before the ship found him with Vader.

That is honestly, the best ending for the original trilogy in my opinion. Thanks for this fanfiction.

I really enjoyed writing it, Anakin deserves it haha

I feel like this story could go further but primarily from Vader’s perspective. For one the Emperor’s contingency plans like Operation Cinder and the foundations of the First Order aren’t things that Vader would accept. Especially with Imperial Remnants being led by Grand Admiral Thrawn. Something Vader would recognize. Granted the entire story would become inserting Vader into all Star Wars media after Episode 6. Especially since he could survive well into the Sequel Trilogy

Dude, please do a part two. This was awesome! I've watched a lot of Star Wars what ifs, and this one actually has me wanting to hear more. Great story!

Wow, this went down a whole other direction, but I don't believe Vader had wanted to truly corrupt Luke and Leia. I imagine he would make a new Je'daii Order and protect Jaina, Jacen, Anakin, and Ben from afar, striking from the shadows and eventually returning during the times of Yuuzhan Vong war when he senses that his family needs him yet again...

I love that you do more happy endings than most. Star Wars should always have a happy ending.

This is really good. Id like to see a continuation - or rather an ending to this. Heh - though he hates the sand, maybe he could settle on Tatooine, get a new suit, and come to terms with his youth..... Maybe the force would guide Yoda to seek out Anakin and impart some words of wisdom and encouragement before he passes on? Or Anakin finds his way to Naboo and Vader finally "dies" while standing guard at Padme's tomb? Whatever the case, I'd love a conclusion to this.

I always wonder why in these fanfictions when Vader turns early and Palpatine is killed they never do the logical thing: Redeemed Vader becomes iterimn Emperor and with Luke opens communications with Mon Mothma and a ceasefire is agreed upon, Restores the Senate, Mothma Rejoins the Imperial Senate along with the Rebel Senators. The Imperial Senate, as mandated by the law written by Palpatine himself, vote Vader as the new Emperor. Emperor Vader then simply disbands the Empire back to the Republic. There is no imperial remnant to form a First Order from. The Imperial Military doesnt split and the Rebel Alliance doesnt take over the galaxy as an outside power, they just restore the Republic. Vader actually brings peace to the Galaxy by stopping a war that would had lasted a year and lead to a fractured Republic (Canon) or a DECADES long war that leads to a Republic so weak it has to reform into the Galactic Alliance (Legends) Basically Vader does the opposite of what Palpatine did in Episode III. Then he can venture into his own journey of whatever.

I think you should do a part two for what if Leah didn’t save Luke somehow see what happens with Vader in his search and for his master in in friends, I like that one I like your spin on these videos

May I have another? I like the redemption of vader, perhaps it can continue and fully resolve; no need to kill him off right away.

I was kind of expecting Luke to tell his father where to find Yoda... Not disappointed though... If it is Anakin's true destiny to find them, let him find them on his own...

Good alternate story..although I prefer Vader's castle or Bast castle on the acid soaked rain planet of Vjun before Disney changed it..I kinder think the acid rain could of been a metaphor for washing away the pain which is what water would probably feel like on scorched skin to Vader.
