and to face Reactron, a formidable enemy driven by a personal vendetta against Superman who nearly killed her cousin once.
When a disaster strikes the venture flight, both Supergirl and Superman rush to rescue, which led to an investigation into the incident. Lena, having narrowly avoided boarding the ill-fated flight, finds herself as a potential suspect. However, she pushes her innocence and her desire to distance herself from her family's legacy and forge her own path. Kara relates with Lena's desire, reflecting on her own journey to define herself beyond her familial ties.
As Kara confronts Reactron, who targets her due to her being cousins with Superman, Lena's life is endangered by a ruthless assassin sent by her own brother, Lex Luthor.
Despite facing assassination attempts, Lena is steady in her decision with the renaming ceremony, echoing Kara's determination despite the life threatening danger of Reactron. As Kara protects Lena from harm, she finds a kindred spirit.
Throughout the battle, Kara is reminded that while her mission initially centered on protecting her cousin Kal-El, her destiny extends beyond that. In the climactic moment, Supergirl triumphs over Reactron by herself, showing she is as a hero in her own right.
