So if young Goku is at the same power level (base) that he had at the ToP, that would mean that when Ginyu switches into Goku's body, he would have a stroke and be left paralysed due to the power difference

@@deancrawley2406well Vegeta and Nappa wouldn’t know about the dragon balls or if named has them as they only found out after Vegeta and Nappa kill the others including Piccolo and the frieza saga wouldn’t start seeing as Frieza found out by hacking vegeta’s coms aka scouter. Also Vegeta couldn’t be with Bulma and trunks would not be born unless by some dumb plot point all of that happens for a different reason also Cell would be stronger as goku is stronger now.

When you say same powers I assume you mean abilities, not power level. That being said, imagine goku with a power level of 5 using even god ki, instantly stronger than final form frieza. And due to the god ki, his saiyan power amps would be dbs level in early dragon ball. He’d likely reach his peak of dbz by roshis training chapter. We know from GT that tails help maintain and draw out the power of the super saiyan forms, so even ssj3 as long as he has a tail would be ungodly op, imagine ssj3 with no more drain than base form

This would be like the ultimate gift for Goku. He gets Grandpa Gohan back. He can relive so many of his memories with his friends. He can train even more and grow even stronger. He can protect the earth better and his lived one's. And I know (just at the part where he sets out with Bulma on their great adventure) he's got to be looking forward to seeing his brother and especially Vegeta. No matter what Krillin may be Gokus "best friend" but I promise you when the chips are down and things are desperate.. he'd rather have no one but the Prince at his side. And their rivalry made them both even better.

He can already use the solar flare and other moves, his fighting style would also be better. i think there was an oversight. goku's power level even if he was suppressing it would have been off the charts. considering king vegeta tried to kill broly because of it, he would likely try the same for goku. but nobody on the planet would be able to scratch him. he definitely wouldn't be getting sent off to earth. he was a late bloomer because of how weak he was the first time around, but he would likely grow much faster this time. when frieza came to destroy i think he would be more similar to kid gohans size when bardock came, small but still able to fight. he would quickly realize frieza is about to destroy his planet and kill him off before that happens. after that point the story could go off in a million different directions.
