To be fair, Qi keeping people young has been a thing since Chinese Myths in general, so having Bulma be able to stay young with Qi is actually more in line with the Chinese ideas of Ki then what Dragon Ball normally does.

I'm not sure how many others have mentioned it, but I love that you have Bulma with purple hair here, like in her original manga appearance. Neat that this was an official design, too; I'd forgotten since it's been so long since I read it. Now, if she starts doing things like Lucca from Chrono Trigger, I'll be doubly pleased.

Perhaps Bulma could utilize her signature capsules as like portable Evil Containment Wave jars. Stronger ones will have to be made to secure stronger beings like Frieza or Cell, but it could work to easily restrain foes such as Raditz. It's like the Pokeballs. Also, while cybernetics did freak out Bulma, the ones that exist in 17, 18, 19, and 20 could prove enticing enough to include in not just herself, but the other humans so they don't fall behind the Saiyans. Maybe you could let the World's Strongest finally occur in a what-if OR even let Bulma find throughout her travels the Big Gete Star to fuse with or take apart to study OR even Planet M-2 to take the Tuffle tech there.

About the cybernetics thing, I'm not so sure about that. This version of Bulma is already set on obtaining her power naturally and isn't trying to become the strongest person in the world, she literally only started training to keep her youthful appearance and happened to find it enjoyable. Also, I'm pretty sure the other Z-Fighters want to build their power naturally as well. Even when Gohan and Krillin had their potentials unlocked by the Elder Guru and Elder Kai, it was still their own power being drawn out and not them being granted power. 17 and 18 can't help that they're cybernetically enhanced, it was against their will and their cybernetics are too thoroughly integrated into their bodies to remove without full-on surgery. Besides, Salad stated that her Ki Spear could've skewered Raditz' arm, and her proto-Galactic Donut was able to hold Raditz despite him being way stronger than her, so she is able to get around power gaps through her Ki weapons.

I hope bulma’s advantage of being a scientist and having a want/need to understand things on a technical level gives her a much higher, deeper understanding of ki. Itd be cool to see her become a threat not because of her physical body’s power but because of her unreal understanding of ki

To be fair, that's exactly what Gohan is doing now. Too bad he hasnt made much progress in getting the world to accept it. Which seems kinda dumb, he's literally living proof and could just show the science community a kii blast. But hey, the writers are more focused on action rather than Slice of life.

Vegeta will be even more atracted to Bulma now lol

This ended on an interesting cliffhanger. Raditz not dying and Vegeta and Nappa not coming to earth (at least yet) should make this scenario quite unique. I'm looking forward to see where this goes.

Oooh, this sounds like a good one. Not only can Bulma get stronger, she can still try making her own tools to help save the day.

Honestly this what-if was very interesting, and if I can share some opinions on what I think could happen next: 1) Raditz should definitely stay alive and become a valuable asset to the Z-Fighters. Bulma could have him around with the tech salvaged from him and the battlefield to create more combat-oriented technology like battle armor and gravity chambers that are impactful. Plus his knowledge on the other two Saiyans and the Frieza Force could be beneficial in the long term. 2) Yamcha and Bulma should definitely stay as a couple in this what-if due to the changes in motivations and circumstance in this. Plus it'd give Yamcha a win. That's always a nice thing.

I think Bulma might be interested in becoming an Android later in the story when she meets 17 and 18, they look fairly natural and their infinite Qi would give Bulma an edge with her creation of weapons, maybe being able to make a complete construct of Qi like Tien does in some of Salad’s what ifs

With Bulma interested in Ki, she could study HOW ki works, how saiyan biology works, s cells, why hybrids get bonuses. There has to be something to human biology that let's it improve on saiyans. An early gravity chamber... She could use it inside the time chamber, buying tons of food and letting them abuse it. She has a scientist mind to understand ki and exploit it in different ways. Maybe a way to grow the senzu beans faster if she studies magic.

Gonna be honest, I really did expect you to pull a Masako and have her build a battle suit, but your approach to this is actually really good and makes a lot of sense. *Let's destroy that like goal, everyone! We need more of this, ASAP!*

@@BurstFlare I personally prefer MasskoX’s version of Bulma was a Z-Fighter as that tie-in with Bulma being a scientist and inventor so becoming Iron-Woman was Cool. Here it’s really boring and all over the place, this what if is probably Salad-Saiyan’s weakest what if for me.

Bulma was honestly one of the most creative Z-Fighters in this What-If, which I feel stemmed from the fact that she was a scientist before being a fighter, and her motivations and Ki constructs were pretty interesting and made sense. I'm guessing that either Masako's storytelling style just made things seem more interesting to you, or you just *really* wanted that Iron Man tie-in.

Z-Fighter Bulma: *exists* Vegeta: "Yes! A worthy opponent! Pound me woman!"

I think it works. Tien and Yamcha don’t look their ages. In GT only Krillin really looked like he aged to me. Seeing her train with Roshi’s sister in Magic too. Would make her unique

Wow! A scenerio where Bulma is a Z-Fighter without an Iron Man type suit and Chi-Chi's training and Raditz lives and Vegeta and Nappa don't show up. This is interesting stuff Salad!

high intelligence i say would make understanding Ki easier, especially how she saw it all so knows it exists, and probably got in decent shape in her adventures running all over the place and exploring ruins avoiding potential death since being involved with Goku's existence tends to make one close to death as well lol

With this being somewhat inspired by JoJo and Bulma learning ki constructs , would love to see it lead to bulma learning to create a stand made out of ki, it could start off as just extra hands like cumber used in heroes when in the stray jacket, can’t wait to see where this what if goes from here

You should do another what if called What If Bulma Became A Saiyan like the one you did for Chi-Chi. It would be interesting to see Bulma become a Saiyan and I’m pretty sure it would change some stuff. Not only she would be a strong fighter but also a smart one, probably smarter than Adult Gohan. Doesn’t anyone agree?

This was so much fun and this has so much potential! Like Bulma using ki constructs and I adore her outfit, though the other outfit you considered was super cool too.

What if Goku's entire family went to earth(except for raditz)

I'm thinking maybe Bulma would be able to use her ki to "sense" electronics she's working with and very quickly disgnose anything wrong with them. Perhaps even using her ki to temporarily repair them, using her ki to complete broken circuits and things like that.

This is one of, or if not the most original and greatest what if anyone every thought of! This what if deserves a part 2.

I have to admit that this scenario is of particular interest to me. I have an original character, a saiyan named Ryak who came to Earth with Goku but landed at Capsule Corp instead of Mt. Paozu. Ryak is quickly adopted by Dr. Brief and Panchi, making Bulma his foster sister. Long story short, Ryak takes an interest in martial arts, and Dr. Brief hires a teacher for him. Here's where this scenario comes in. I've sometimes wondered, after hanging around Ryak for so long, and ultimately Goku and the rest of gang, if Bulma would develop an interest in martial arts as well, what that might look like, and how it might affect the story. This scenario will certainly help me answer those questions. That said, I'm definitely curious to see where this goes.

Amazing new vid with an interesting scenario! With how Salad has been shaping his other DB what ifs in a way that is both absolutely magnificent and totally comprehensible, I can say that this too, will be a great scenario to watch.

Adding my comments and hoping this becomes a full series. I was thinking perhaps with Bulma studying she goes the 'Super Serum' route to help her and other humans keep up, but with a twist. it never explained Why half Sayains are so strong. In real life, in extreme cases humans have been known to do incredible feats of strength. So with these two in mind, Bulma gets to think perhaps there is something there, and a way to bring that potential out. So its not so much improving, so much as its bringing what's hidden to surface. Or if wanting to keep natural, some new training method that brings it out. Just a idea.

This could become my favorite scenario you've done, it's pretty unique already!

You should do a series where you do a GT timeline for your what ifs, so like say you have your "what if cooler turned good timeline" you do a new thing where it just continues into GT from the end of Z as if all the stuff from battle of gods and onward never happened and instead went the GT route, so each episode of the series covers the GT timeline from other what ifs you've done. While I'm not the biggest fan of GT I really enjoy what you typically do with the ideas and I want to see how they would work when combined with your other ideas. I hate that I am about to say this but I think its time to step into the grand tour grand tour grand tour, step into the grand tour dragon Ball GT. I'm going to be one hundred percent honest, I mostly just want to see this for the cooler one because it is one of my favorite what ifs of all time. But I think this could be a cool series

An awesome power up for Bulma since you're actually allowing her to make Ki constructs is for her to be able to make Tech with her Ki. And since it's ever pliable then she could make machines that would be physically impossible with regular matter. Not to mention that those machines will act like machines and actually have different physical effects than the ki that she's generating

@@tonyblank2022 I bet she could literally build a KI time machine and spawn and de-spawn it at will. It would be super broken in the enemy would have to be pretty dazed but she could send somebody into her time machine, activated and De-Spawn the Time machine while they're still traveling

For what it is worth, the series supports ki having a positive effect on aging. For example, think about how long it took Krillin to truly age; only GT started showcasing that.

Oh boy is this going to be a what if where Radditz survives? Definitely excited, also already this is looking to be a good take on what if Bulma was a z-fighter, a lot of people go for the whole Iron man angle and while I don't hate that, I think it kind of just clashes with dragon ball a tad bit and yes I know the whole androids and such but at least with all the takes in Z we saw of the androids it makes more sense to why they are competing and even remotely a threat, be it energy draining model to use the others ki against them, the whole infinite energy systems and of course everyone's favorite bio-android Cell mixing tech with ki. Great work as always Salad can't wait to see more!

But also somehow incorporate the healing tech from the Saiyan's space pods and eventually the energy absorbing tech used in androids 19 & 20 into it. So, instead of developing ironman style powered armor, she could create some light weight Saiyan looking armor that heals the wearer and is powered by absorbing ki...

An idea just popped in my head on a new. What if you could do. Raditz gave Goku 1 day to kill 100 people. So what if Goku and Piccolo trained together in that time in the hyperbolic time chamber? How would that change the story.

Now i really hope we see bulma use a giant ki avatar

Reminds me of "What if Chichi was a Z fighter": it's both reassuring and vexing how much better this is. I'm sorry to say that the Chichi WI was one of your weaker stories 😢 it honestly could use a reboot. To put it bluntly she was barely even relevant in her own story and was basically JUST an extra fighter with no discernible personality. The reason why MasakoX's version worked so well was because he used creative liberties to make her feel unique.

I'm going to make a few suggestions Salad, something that I've always thought Bulma WOULD do if training. Training 'equipment' !!! Basically what I mean is thinhs like weighted clothing. She would have done that under Roshi, and seen what Goku had gone throigh on Kami's lookout, so using her tech to create smaller, more compact weights that are more dense, but more comfortable? Totally something she'd do. But also things like a differential environmental system. Making the air in a chambet like the air on top of Koron's tower (and eventually Kami's lookout) letting her train that way. Maybe even figure out low-level Gravity training early. Or a personal favourite of mine... Learn how 'growing stronger' works on a cellular level, how it's just like any other kind of exercise, (the more you do it, the stronger you become) and figures out better training methods. Specifally, I think she'd develop a system that would drain ki, (lile androids 19/20) and that energy to heal you like a saiyan regen pod. It's slow regeneration, so it takes lkke 8 hours to fully regenerate the body, so she just does this every night, sleeping. So it's kinda like getting a tiny mini zenkai every night. Not an actual zenkai, but that really is how dragonball training works. Also the last super-training she'd do is learning multi-form from Tien. Effectively, multi-form SUCKS for fighting... But it could be AMAZING for training. So she'd learn to use it for longer and longer periods of time. Imagine training in 2-3 G's, with weights, while your powerlevel is split in 4, and experiencing air like on top of Kami's Lookout! Then getting your energy drained, and regenerating every night? Now imagine that she does all that... but instead of 'training' in the traditional sense, she's doing other things on her workshop? Well all the extre hands would make the tech easy to work on, she'd have extra minds just as smart as she was to bounce ideas off of, and she'd still get all her work done, (and more!) While experiencing those conditions. So all of that could be 'passive' training, which keeps her fit, and powerful, while letting her still do most (if not MORE) of her tech stuff, science, and engineering, that she had done for the group throughout the series. Plus she might just give some of these training techniques, and technology to the other Z Fighters... So the humans would have stayed relavant a little longer.

It'd make sense that Bulma would think up other tactical ways to utilize ki, she's big brained even when learning battle techniques

I love this Series in execution and idea but am dissapointed that Bulma doesn't have any technology like Bracelets that can increase the KI Output coming out of them but with a heat limit, or some Biological modifications to increase her organs ability to be more efficient in energy consumption so she can have stronger KI Constructs, but still love the fact she went down the precise KI Constructs which we know can severly boost your Power which we see with any KI technique. also let's GOO with 2nd Part.

Nice job. I am kinda surprised you didn't have Tien gain the scar from a training accident with Bulma. You said she learned to create weapons from her Ki with the first being a sword. So you could have had Bulma stab him there creating the scar but Tien still fighting with it instead of getting a senzu as a way to show that some people might not stop when hurt.

This is highly unexpected. I wanted a Bulma focused scenario but this is something else.

raditz is my favourite saiyan except he gets less screen tiime than every other saiyan in the series. Even his father Bardock gets more screen time in the Z specials.

I somewhat called this yesterday. Really, almost anytime there’s increased strength in the Kame house group I expect Raditz to live because the group can restrain him better. Plus with this scenario specifically, Bulma is there fighting Raditz, and with her science curiosity, she wants to keep this alien alive.

Thinking about it now, Bulma could easily be the "Iron Man" of Dragon Ball. With all the people around her who use KI and her vast resources, can easily see it happening XD

I didn't want to comment when I watched after it was out for an hour, but now I do cuz I feel like I have to say something about my favorite girl in DBZ. Finally, she gets some more attention. Her being a Z-Fighter though? Awesome. I never even thought of that, but it I guess it makes sense to do that cuz I can't think of anything else for her to be more useful. And with how smart she is, she defo would be a great help as a fighter. Also, I like they you gave her purple hair cuz that's what she had in the manga. Movies and shows, they just like changing things that aren't in the manga

also based on Yamcha, and Tien this is a very good theory about ki, while Krillin does age he seems to age more slowly obviously he stopped fighting and likely stopped using his ki at a certain point

This is a really really great what if!! I love these more "simple" what ifs like roshi wishing for youth or z fighters kept training rather than those super flashy "goku legendary ssj" or "goku frieza potential" (i love them too tho, just not as much) and i really want to see more of z fighter bulma!

one thing that i would 100% add is stating that bulma has the potential of a normal earthling, and she compensates her waaay slower growth with her super geniosity and perserverance of hard work (if she puts her mind on something, she never lets it go)
