I'm 37 man, I remember running hone from school with my little brother to watch too toonami after school everyday to watch dbz, they would always show it up to the buu arch then start it over again. It's hard to describe how much I love toriyama's work, look how influential he has been for jrpgs. The world lost a great mind.

He means like his legacy and he's right.

Toriyama sensei was what Stan Lee was to the west but so much more. He was heavily involved in the illustration and stories of so many amazing video games. This really is the death of an incredible person.

I appreciate you trying to show Paragus as not a simply evil father, Paragus is a typical saiyan but he was a father that genuinely loved his son. He hurt Broly out of oncern for his own safety. The parallels to Vegeta are definitely plain to see the only reason Vegeta is more obviously good is because of the amount of time he spent with the Z fighters. I'm sure Paragus would have also become a "good guy" had he been given time and an opportunity.

That was one of the hard things to juggle, I think Paragus wasn’t evil, but he wouldn’t want to just be friends with them either. So he’s more detached, but not outwardly bad.

I just wanted to take a moment and say that I think it's a hilarious and brilliant choice to have Broly Black wearing Z Broly's outfit, instead of just the usual 'normal Goku Black outfit' or 'character's outfit but black'.

He was a month and 4 days away from dying on his 69th birthday, he almost reached the funny number

Great story as always, I love that both Gohan and Broly can relate on being gentle powerhouses who don’t get as much of a thrill from fighting and see it mostly as a means to an end. And once again rest in peace Akira Toriyama, forever a childhood legend of mine. Dragon Ball was the first anime that got me into anime and manga as a 5 year old back in 2005.

I can just imagine in these type of stories when Gohan and Broly become besties and Gohan has to go on a date broly also tages along and stares straight into the girl's soul as if to say "if you dare hurt my nephew like friend in any way no one will stop me from wiping you off the face of the earth " also if Gohan's boss gave him extra work he Broly would scare the hell out of the boss if he didn't give Gohan more time to complete his work and more money

Something I noticed is thst a constant plot point is broly going beserk. It makes sense in the first few parts since he's easily triggered. But I feel like that should've stopped later on since he trained with the kai's for a good chunk of time. Othwr than that small gripe, good job. Rip TORIYAMA

Was definitely struggling with that, but I thought it made sense that since his power evolved in the movie the more powerful the opponent was, that him going berserk would kinda scale to that? Either way, I kinda wanted a challenge for him. I appreciate it bro!

That ending thoughhhhh ugh my feels. I liked the faster pace, it was fine, but it was more "barebones concept-bullet points" speculative story rather than a true "narrative what if" as usually written by Chimp or the Betrayed stories ;). It felt long and exploratory enough though! Very different. I personally prefer more psychology of the characters rather than "yeah they changed because of X and Y". You know, "show, don't tell" in a way ? The art is stellar and I liked te editing!! The bzz sounds fo the screen changes were a bit too loud imho.

I know people dislike the fact that Universe 7 only has 28 planets with life on them, but thinking about it Moro was eating the life force of who knows how many planets millions to billions of years ago. Buu killed and destroyed countless amount of planets, and the people on them. The Frieza force/family killed the life forces and sold countless amount of planets that had life, and there are space pirates. When you think about it, 28 planets with life makes complete sense.

I feel like if Broly fully controlled his Green Haired SSJ form, he’d gain something like SSJ4, since it’s a combination of SSJ and Wrathful (which is a humanoid Great Ape), basically being a humanoid Golden Great Ape form.

Potential unleashed would be perfect for broly power up without getting angry

As strong as broly is Goku always makes a better sparring partner the way he works up to his main power helps others train

I wonder why supreme kai wouldn’t alert whis to get beerus’s attention because if he doesn’t nip it he doesn’t get to nap more.

Honestly, Future Kaioshin had so much less resources, with only Future Trunks left as a capable fighter, yet they did so much better than regular timeline! in dealing with Dabura and Babidi! I mean, they didn't have that dumb fight between Goku and Vegeta so that's definitely something to consider.

2:18 Except Gohan wasn’t even that far above Shin canonically, especially since Shin literally had to be the one to save Gohan from Fat Buu. 3:04 according to DBZ Kakarot, it was a week. 17:12 Goku was literally holding back against Gohan, we know this since a Suppressed Toppo quite literally tanked Gohan’s Blast in the ToP and Gohan was a Saganbo Victim which Goku in Base alone could oneshot.

I’m not sure if Paragus would look like that during the Buu saga. The Broly movie was late into super so the Buu saga being a couple years earlier then super in general could put him before the rapid aging would start. Maybe he’d be in his early to mid 70’s. The rapid aging wouldn’t start till he was in his 80’s
