Looking back it was in Bret Hart's interest to take a pay cut (something he was said to be willing to receive yet Vince said no) prior to business in the WWF picking up. As he and a surviving Owen were said to be against racier stuff in the Attitude era, both post-Hart Foundation would have likely been legendary in an Alt-RTC and possibly given Stevie Richards the rub to go a bit higher up the card. Both Bret and an Owen that received his originally intended Game gimmick would have been able to fill the post-Austin/Rock void of the early-2000s and mitigated HHH's reign of terror, whilst also providing potential foil to the World Title reigns of Jericho, Benoit and Eddie Guerrero (even though the latter two were said to be content as transitional champs and had no desire to hold titles).

bret hart probably would of wrestled for a longer time maybe up till 2010 if he had stayed in wwe

I don’t know. Would it be possible that he would have come out of retirement at some point to face John Cena in his early superstar days to help give him the rub needed?

Think it definitely would have been highly likely that he would have come out of retirement at some point to face Cena, or someone else

WWF bought WCW in march 2001 and WCW was just an "on air" faction on WWF Tv thereafter. If he doesn't work back fro Vince, he won't be on TV. Was Bret contracted to AOL/TW or WCW? cause it changes thing a lot!
