I Feel like the easiest way, (and probably the way that makes the most sense) would be having the story mode just be a Tournament, With each Legend having their own different arragement of brackets and a unique ending for each of the legends victories

I actually like the second idea, where maybe each character would have a short story (maybe like 3 or 4 battles... which would still be a lot of work) or, each group of characters would have a story, with each battle being played as a different member of that group, for example the Iron Legion story would have you play as Xull, Mordex, Teros, Azoth, and Kor, perhaps in each case letting you use the skin connected with that group but only for that battle (or the battle for that character will be unlocked by getting the skin or something, though the first idea is better in my opinion, afterall you can only have so much fun playing harlequin caspian against a single bot.) and then characters that are associated with multiple groups could be the segue into the other groups, so for my example, Kor could lead into the Fangwild group, Teros into Sidra's pirate crew, and Mordex into Batavia's story, where it would then connect to Ember, Ragnir, Dusk, Arcadia, Yumiko, and Sidra, and Magyar, Azoth, Onyx, Volkov respectively. from there you could then connect the Exalted Lions, and maybe the Book club or Electric fight orchestra. if you keep the chain going you could certainly include the baby food corporation. the only characters that would be hard to connect would maybe be galactic entities like Artemis, Orion and Vraxx, Angelic entities like Nix, Zariel and Brynn, and sort of odd-ones like Reno, Jaeyun, Barraza, Gnash, Bodvar etc. but with enough story telling and new characters added, leading to more lore leading to more individual groups, I'm certain we could come up with a wholly interconnected Brawlhalla.

Artemis and Orion already have a strong rivalry, which could come to play in the story. I feel like several of those characters could pop in from time to time, do something, and leave. Also worth mentioning that several lore tabs have mentioned schemes against Valhalla, the first one that comes to mind for me is Dusk. A Subspace Emissary type story with rivalries and continuous plots would be super cool, and maybe you could have a major villain which everyone teams against. I would love to see the ability to play the campaign with someone else. Nothing would be better than to have moments like Anakin vs Obi Wan in Lego Star Wars

(Ik im a year late but whatever) This is really cool but it's also really long, unpredictable and impossible to make until you're done adding characters to the roster. Any characters added after the story mode is completed wouldn't be added to it. Therefore I'd say make the story mode a playthrough of each individual character's lore: Tournament style. (Not completely sure if this is what the two of you meant but here we go) It'd be super easy to add more characters as well since each character story created afterward would be independent of the story before. (Bonus: and it's an awesome way to foreshadow the introduction of new characters. By adding them in stories before they're even created)

If Brawlhalla gets a story mode, it could literally surpass Smash Bros *CHANGE MY MIND*

It could. Smash is really just a goofy crossover for autistic crossover fans 💀. While brawlhalla lore could be way more rewarding to discover. True facts

I think one of the issues with story mode right now is that if you want to include all legends you'd have to be constantly updating and changing the story mode as new legends are being added, so I think they'll probably add it once they've added all the legends they want to add

I feel that this should be like a different campaign for every legend like for example, for red raptor you would do some fights with a lot of teamates vs some other dudes and further in the campaign, you get to fight the creatures that led to the sentai's extintion but with Garuda's power that gives you 3x dmg and you see a cutscene where you see red raptor's sacrifice,then they show you how he entered the valhalla and the final fight of his campaign would be aganist Loki with the help of other legends and once you beat him, you see an image of red raptor finally at peace, that would be a good idea

This would be really hard for the devs to pull off because new legends are always being added. Like if they did a fangwild story, then added arcadia, then arcadia wouldn't be in the story and it wouldn't make sense.

I would absolutely love to go through Petra's story and have to fight to survive through terminus

I would like them to do it so it shows the legends short stories as you play through battles (basically modes based on the scene) and shows you how they got there they make a short one for every legend allowing you to get gold and a exclusive avatar for each characters story you beat.

maybe an interesting part for the plot its that bodvar and ember while traveling find teros cave and then befriend him to fight ragnir true form like its a smash bros tyle of bossfight where its a big boi and you simply do the damage and beat it and then you get ragnir to the team

if a story mode gets added then I'm expecting at least 2 you know what scenes with Cassidy

id really like a story mode in brawlhalla just to see the cutscenes and animations because the trailers and stuff are rly good

Been playing Brawl for a couple of years now without paying attention to the legends's lore, this story mode would be a dream come true 🙏

Or like injustice, when you pick a legend and you beat the boss with the legend it shows the future of that legend

I wish it weren't a "what-if" anymore, the game sorely needs one.

brawlhalla can literally just make a movie or series about it and that would be enough

First off brynn, not bodvar, she brings everybody to valhalla, she literally gets to meet EVERY legend and their world

This should be a series you could watch in the game in a cutscene mode or in a streaming platform

and with red raptor we now know that there is multiple after-lifes

If there was to be a ultimate villain or secret final boss, it must be Dr Von Evilstain.

Injustice is also a big fighting game which has a phenomenal story

i think they should do story mode for each legend . after they release legend for all the weapons , they should prioritize story mode . doing so is a lot but it will spice things up

imo, the story mode’s rewards should be like a title specified for each Legend or the character’s color scheme for the other characters (like Ragnir’s neutral color palette for the rest of the characters)

I'd rly see this be therre one day, but i dont think they'd give away mammoth coins, sadly enough... or the story mode would have to be purchased.

Um just a quick reminder It says in the lore that Yumiko has been to the fang wild because in the battle pass theres one mission that says win as legends who've been to the fang wild and Yumiko has been to the fang wild. So I'm just saying that if in one part in the story mode that takes place in the fang wild please introduce Yumiko.

Bro.. boss fights would be awsome, like the ones in Rayman or Cuphead. There's alot they can do with boss fights in a platformer like this though, vraxx could be flying around like eggman and you have to hit him with bombs or something. Idk could be fun 🤔
