I honestly think this was a pretty good alternate way things could have gone. It’s hard to believe how different things would be if this had happened.

Great storytelling! The twist on the end got me perplexed and relieved as I never expect Anakin to leave the Jedi Order. But that somehow could be the safest way for him to literally reconcile his love for Padmé and to not turning hostile to the Jedi.

What if Mace Windu, was overcome with rage during his battle with Palpatine and fell to the dark side. Palpatine always had a trump card to play. A trick of Sith Sorcery that would enslave anyone he goaded into lashing out in anger or fear. The same trap he laid for Anakin, to ensnare his mind and make him a slave to the dark side. Only this time it was Windu who triggered it. The Dark side takes hold of him. And Anakin sees the change come over Master Windu. At first, Anakin is angry at Palpatine's death, but when Windu turns his fury toward Anakin, he quickly realizes that there is a far bigger problem. He tries to reason with him, to calm him down, but his words just inflame the contempt Windu has always had for the boy. So much fear, so much potential wasted on a weak willed, whiny brat. Anakin realizes he's in over his head. he tries to leave, to get help from the council, but Windu senses his intention and orders him to stop. Anakin tries to arrest him and is struck down by master Windu. The Jedi are appalled, they try to arrest Windu, but having fully given himself over to the darkness within, his rage makes him strong. He resists arrest and kills the entire Jedi council. The entire Jedi order is united against him. He lashes out at every Jedi who raises arms against him. The barely contained fury that has always made him the most powerful duelist in the Jedi order is unleashed. From somewhere in the back of his mind, Darth Sidious whispers secrets of the Sith into his thoughts, unlocking powers some would consider unnatural. A powerful Sith he will become. Hundreds of Jedi die by his hands as he makes his escape from Coruscant.

Don't be so naive , Mace went to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's office with every intention of killing him . That's what the jedi do , they religiously persecute any force user that believes differently than they do . Windu NEVER had any intention of leaving that building with Supreme Chancellor Palpatine still alive .

Great Video. The manner in which you shifted the events was subtle but believable. A suggestion for you that might require some digging into the old Legends Material: What if Zayne Carrick was frozen in Carbonite during the Mandolorian Wars and found a bit before the Clone Wars started? He is a character from the Knights of the Old Republic comic series who was a walking embodiment of the WTF factor. Just picture the weirdest stuff that could happen and it would likely do so in his presence. I’d love to see how Darth Sidious would handle such an oddball in his fine tuned plans.

@@jacobfett Trust me, Zayne IMHO would be either a Superweapon against Sid or someone that would drive EVERYONE in Power to think of running into a Black Hole to escape. Him and Anakin could possibly drive Mace into running screaming. (Read Issues 47-50 to get a good idea of just how WTF his Luck Skills can be.)

@@jacobfett I'd say he would be on the Jedi's Side but not willing to follow the Council's orders to the Letter. Honestly, have Hondo finding him would make the most sense and would remove a good chunk of Palp's chances of knowing what is coming.

After a short and heated argument, Anakin arrests Mace Windu. The general media, political and public consensus is that Anakin is a hero, that Mace should tried for Treason, and that Yoda should resign as head of the Jedi Order. But there is a divide over whether the Order should face further scrutiny or penalty. The Jedi Order gives Anakin the rank of Master. Anakin instead chooses to leave the Order, he and Obi-Wan help Padme with her condition. Afterwards, Obi-Wan leaves the Jedi Order to help with the situation on Mandalore. And Yoda resigns. Following their examples, many Jedi, including some Council members, leave the Jedi Order to either to settle down and start families, or to help out with some of carnage of the war, or just to retire from public life. The Jedi Order decides that their time so near to the seat of political power in the Galaxy and the Clone Wars has lead them astray, so they leave Coruscant for one of their old home worlds to reconnect with their old ways. A path were they aren’t the pawns of politicians, or lead military campaigns. A path that helps those need help and counsels for peace. A path that includes the emotional development of their members, including allowing them to communicate with their old family, teaches their young skills that could be helpful should they chose to leave the Order once they come of age, and how to handle relationships should such an issue arise. While the Galactic Senate and the general public remain sharply divided over the next decade or two, things eventually settle down and life returns to normal. The Separatist Alliance is allowed the freedom to choose their own path forward. With the Clone Wars over, and conflicts burnout, the grand military of the Republic winds down over the couple of decades into a more modest or normal, more formal, volunteer military, and a system is established for its veterans. The Balance has been restored.

And than the surviving Jedi fall into civil war even more devastating than Palpatine's Empire.

thank you. i like to think by Anakin not making the choice to slice off Mace’s hand, that he still played a role in his defeat. if you think about it, it was untimely Anakin’s decision to let Mace kill Palps in this timeline

What Happened With Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar Death's Corpse? You Also missing was a small scene, where some Jedi including most of the High Council did the funeral for Kit, Saesee and Agen, and their potential replacements on the Council.

The Mace on trial scenario underscores a scene in ROTS that nobody talks about: Earlier Mace said to Yoda after sending g a plot to destroy the Jedi that the Jedi would have to take over the senate to secure a peaceful transition. Mace would’ve likely gotten off Scott free, because in that scenario Mace would have been the senate(at least for the time being.)

My Theory of what would have happened if Anakin hadn't stepped in and cut off one of Mace Windu's hands is as follows: 1): Darth Sidious might have killed both of them with Force Lightning. 2): And in addition used his duelist art with his red lightsaber as a support aid. 3): And use his ability to move objects with his mind with the force. 4): Found another candidate for his new apprentice on the dark side of the force to become a Sith lord with the title: "Darth".

What if Jar Jar revealed his Sith powers in revenge of the Sith?

Pretty sure the novelization of R.O.T.S revealed that Sidious deliberately interrupted the security footage from his office as it was happening to make it look like he'd been simply assaulted, specifically to provide evidence as to his innocence. But I could be misremembering.

Every fanfiction channel I go to makes the same mistake by ignoring the prophesy.... ANAKIN MUST KILL SIDIOUS. He must. Though Windu could as well, the will of the force is absolute. Anakin must be the one to end it.

the way i look at it, it was Anakin’s decision to let Mace kill Palp. If Anakin wasn’t there at all then i could understand as he didn’t play a direct role. but in this scenario, it’s Anakin’s choice, he slices off his hand or he doesn’t

What if obi-wan kanobi killed darth vader on mustafar and yoda killed darth sidious. Then padme began going into labour. But she dies of chronic heartbreak. What comes next?????. Kind regards from Daniel Harman.

They'd still be on the run because Palpatine had already persuaded the new Empire that the Jedi had betrayed them. The Empire would still exist but there would be a lot more Jedi alive because Vader, Palpatine and the Inquisitors wouldn't have continued to hunt down Jedi after Revenge of the Sith. But yes, the Jedi Order would survive, albeit much smaller and would still have to be in hiding from the Empire. Luke and Leia would probably go on to be trained personally by Obi Wan from birth, as they wouldn't have to be separated as Vader wouldn't be alive to go searching for them.

The stronger and more terrifying the enemy the better the story , remember batman dark knight.. A better story would be If sideous escape maybe by jumping out the window and began order 66, the jedi will fall , many jedi will die even mace and other jedi trapping sideous but lost to sideous and all jedi will realise just how strong sideous is and how little hope they have left and at the darkest moment Anakin reaching his full potential will save the jedi and kill sideous , thus with many jedi death and only a few sidth left balance will be made by the chosen one..

What if Boba Fett shot and killed Mace before Anakin cut off Mace's hand.

Do you really think Palpatine was too weak to defend himself? That was a trick. Palpatine was never about to accept death. For example, if Darth Vader didn't stop Luke in return of the Jedi you know Palpatine would defended himself and just kill Luke. In the rise of Skywalker at the end, instead of finally accepting it's over it turns out he has enough power to take care of everything himself. He's a selfish psychopath who want to live forever and doesn't follow any code of honor.

It was confirmed by Lucas that Palpatine would have been killed if Anakin hadn't gotten involved. Palpatine was arrogant, he truly believed had had successfully turned Anakin by this point. Windu is considered the best duelist in the Jedi Council

Well according to the Last Jedi-if Mace killed Palpatine, Palpatine would possess his body and then attack Anakin. lol.
