ayo me too :D whenever i'm with my younger family members and friends i do my best to play along with whatever they're doing or saying, unless they're old enough to know the truth.

I would say: “Oh, my goodness, you’ve found her twin! (Place them togethef) {animal name} has been looking for her twin for ever! (Take away and hold to your ear) {animal name} tells me that although she’s happy to have found her twin, she’s even happier that she’s in such a lovely home.”

I think I’d say something along the lines of “well, guess you just have to believe in the magic!” with a big wink to clue the kid in that the other kids are having fun believing that it’s real. I’m not saying this as a qualified expert on your job or anything, I just think sometimes if you already don’t believe something’s real, you don’t gotta be convinced, you can just have fun getting swept away with the magic of basically an interactive storybook coming to talk to you. I would have never believed the stuffies were real as a kid, but as long as no one clued me in that there was an expectation that I SHOULD believe it was real or that I was breaking some kind of social rule to not believe, I would probably be fine. I’m autistic though and often broke social expectations unexpectedly, getting upset and feeling excluded when I realized everyone else was looking at me as the odd one out and even sometimes trying to get other people to be on my side. But obviously not every kid that questions you is like that hence this isn’t advice more of just,, idk like I said in the beginning what I would do. plus why I would do that. sdjkhfdsj
