Hate to double dip, but go listen to Descent II's OST, the CD audio one, not the MIDI one. Its industrial with ambient, and could give you more tools for your toolbox. Same with NIN's Quake 1 OST.

If I remember correctly the reason why the names were so weird on the credits of those games was to avoid having other companies "poach" the employees

In the 80's to early 90's, developers were kinda of treated like the man behind the curtain, so a lot of games from the Atari/Intellivision/Commodor 64 on up to Nes games like Megaman made the staff in a development team use Pseudonyms or even just fake names, so a lot of the credits and names are just obfuscated. Even the Voice Actors for games like Resident Evil 1 on the playstation weren't given proper credits for a LONG time afterward.

This is Geoff's first "in the style of doom eternal" track where I can't hear the original tune at all. If it weren't for synth melodies I wouldn't be able to pick that this is cover of a castlevania track. Indisputably high quality work as always but this track failed the test for me.

I'd love to hear some Guilty Gear tracks in this style

GeoffPlaysGuitar, I absolutely adore all that you do. You make art, pure and simple. Your compositions are incredibly well crafted, far above competency, and you have a brilliant ear for what sounds "cool", which I generally prefer to "what's more musically salient." If that seems offensive, I meant none by it, just that sometimes artists get in their own way. You do not. That being said, if I'm being 100% honest (not like anyone really cares, but I'll cast my voice into the void that is the internet), this is excellent music, but I don't really hear Castlevania. I don't even mean in spirit - you can turn anything in Argent Metal - but I mean, I literally don't hear Vampire Killer at all. I hear a little Bloody Tears, that stuck out, but something about the rest of it is hard to hear as Vampire Killer. It's phenomenal, don't get me wrong, but I needed to be told this was a medley of those songs, otherwise, I would have thought this was like Fall of Davoth, an original song. I don't mean to hurt your feelings or be contrarian, but as an artist myself, I like hearing the devil's advocate, so to speak, so hearing something like "I think you missed your mark" I find more meaningfully engaging. The sounds weren't close enough to Vampire Killer. It was maybe a little too slow, making the notes harder to register as the overall tempo and rhythm. I didn't hear enough "oddness" in there that stuck out. I think you're cover of Bury the Light is an example of not going far enough (by inches), and I think this is an example of going too far (by inches). Please don't stop making amazing music, and please grow into one of the most prominent composers in any industry you step foot into. Because you will. There's no doubt in my mind, you WILL be one of those names that is remembered forever one day.

Geoffrey, you are a fucking mastermind when it comes to making DOOM style music. This song perfectly captures how Mick takes classic DOOM music and makes it heavier, like how "Rust, Dust and Guts" is pretty much a heavier version of "The Imp's Song". You can hear the "Vampire Killer" notes, but they're heavy, they get the adrenaline going, and I fucking love it! I genuinely can't wait for the next one, kinda hoping it's the Undertale one if I'm being honest...
