What I Wish I Knew BEFORE Learning Russian

I've been learning Russian for 7 years now and here are some things I wish I had known before I started! Don't make the same mistakes I did.

Ayan, greetings from St. Petersburg! I was very surprised when I heard you speak Russian. Of course, there is not a big, but very beautiful accent and nothing more! All Russian grammar is just perfect. Now, if I meet Anglophones, Francophones, Hindiphones or Germans who want to speak Russian fluently and pleasantly, then I know whom to recommend. 😀 And yes, you are right, Russians are really friendly in general and are very surprised when foreigners try to learn this language. We are ready to help in this difficult task. Good luck. Sincerely!

I'm from Russia, Moscow, been learning English for it's difficult to say I think 2 yesrs but honeslty for 1 year. So, I didn't know that Russian pronunciation is dificult for Americans, I thought American pronounsation is something that I can't uderstand and describe but now I can uderstnad almost everything and it makes me feel good, so, If you want to learn Russian it's pretty nice and I can help you because as I said I'm a native. By the way, there is a big problem for me in English, I don't understand where and how you put commas so I put them the way I do it in Russian, I'd like to sort this out :0 and one more thing, I wanted to write this ")" at the end but then I remembered that you don't use this symbol and you think - why do we use that? ) it measns this :) like a smile and depends on how much we liked what you said, so good luck /

i'm from iceland and honestly the easiest ways too learn english is with video games and/or music with lyrics. Your english isn't terrible but I understood what you wrote even though you made some mistakes and thats okay :] You can learn spelling and/or grammar with spell checkers just google "spell checker" and type there wbefore sending it too someone and it will correct your mistakes and almost all of them are free and that helps me when I make mistakes. I hope this helps also FYI=for your information, you're using the comma part correctly you don't have too do it though unless you wan't too sound more professional. Hope this helped!🇮🇸

There are nominative, accusative, dative and genitive cases in English as well. They just are not modified by endings.
