I love the archive footage! I think that KZread is such a fascinating way that the world is collecting stories. Stories fascinate me. I also studied communication in college. Before my disabilities stopped me from working I was using so much of what I studied in day to day life. It is always interesting to me how varied the career path with comm degrees can be.

You remind me so much of Stanford from sex and the city - you are an absolute ray of sunshine and such a joy to watch! ❤️

Wow I can’t believe I stumbled upon you!! Back when I was in 5th grade, my school had a WE club and I gladly joined because I was excited to help my community (there was a lot of homelessness and I wanted to help fix that). My teacher/the club leader said that we got tickets to a WE Day concert because of how we helped the community and we rode a fairy over to Seattle. I recall seeing you and thinking how cool it was that you were doing all sorts of things with your life even with the setbacks. I think you said something about climbing a mountain and I thought it was really cool how you were traveling up said mountain even without the use of legs. You talked with Grace Vanderwall (If I recall correctly) on stage and I remember being so inspired after the show that I wanted to stop at nothing to help. I soon moved afterwards and lost some opportunities in helping but it was still such a great experience and, honestly, I think I wanna get back into helping my community. I’m now, currently, in 9th grade and I still remember that experience well. I’m really happy that I was able to find your KZread channel and it really brightened my day!

Hi Spencer! I recently stumbled upon your KZread channel. I had the pleasure of hearing you speak at a few fundraising/ charity events and briefly met at one to say hello years ago. I don’t know if it’s something you’re able to talk about and I really don’t mean to overstep but I would be very interested in hearing about the issues that arose with the charity in the media and how it affected you. It came as a shock to me and I can only image the hardships and multifaceted challenges the people who worked along side the charity must have faced. I left out any direct mention of the charity because I don’t know if there’s any legal issues or restrictions placed on you and I completely understand if this isn’t something you can discuss. I also want to express that you have created positive memories and influenced my decision to participate in social change to this day. Thank you for being you : ).

I wish I'd kept more videos of my teenage years. It's strange to have been part of the first generation to grow up with cameras in our pockets yet not have any footage to look back on because I was worried about being fat. So silly. I'm just realising for myself that I'm probably going to be some sort of entertainer given that the skill of storytelling and performing is one of the few constants in my life, so it's back to school for me (I also did Communications the first time round, fun!). Nobody said the road to follow your dreams would be so long!
