Thank you so much for asking about the number of LTO collections. Yes, as a non-consultant consumer, I find the increasing number of LTO's overwhelming. I've found it necessary to be more selective in my purchases to stay within my budget and to be able to enjoy what's in my club. I can't imagine what it must be like for consultants who want to keep up with everything and help out their customers. I do want to express my sincere appreciation for all the effort you put into your reviews and videos. You are one of my top three Scentsy reviewers here on youtube. You're very profesional and thorough in your descriptions and your enthusiasm for home fragrance shines through. 🥰 That said, I am perfectly happy if you need to dial back on what you purchase and review, especially when it comes to the micro-holidays. Home fragrance should be a pleasure, not a chore.

LTOs are overwhelming Sept-December. I can’t keep up with their rapid fire launches this busy time of year. I wish they would pump the brakes, focus on offering the best catalog scents they can & work to improve their shipping dept. I think the amount of mini-collection LTOs that are coming out are a bit much. I appreciate the idea, but I think a seasonal bar offered as the Scent of the Month is more than enough to capture that opportunity. I appreciate that you are trying to order and review them all, but I don’t think it should come at the cost of you being able to melt anything else, especially your favorites. I love hearing about your favorites even more than the new LTO collections actually.

I just had another thought, and that is that we (you and I and probably other KZread consultants) warm WAAAAAY more wax than the average customer. Like literally probably 5-10x more bars than the average customer goes through. If we can’t keep up, our customers must be absolutely overwhelmed with the ever changing offerings. The catalog feels like a backdrop rather than a focal point at times, but the catalog scents are SO GOOD. I wish I could warm those more often.

Yes!!!! I’m not trying to be a grouch… but when we both joined… it seemed like the number of LTO’s were welcome extras… now they drive us instead of the other way around. I will be trying to do more feature videos in the next 2 months on the catalog, I realized I was out of SO many staple scents, as I’ve been re-sorting my wax. I’ve been so preoccupied by the LTOs, I didn’t even notice. I think your point of our increased melting volume as consultants is also really a good one. If we can’t get through it all… how can our customers???

Well said Liz! I thought it was just me that was struggling to juggle testing/reviewing all this new stuff! I too am torn between loving new things and trying everything out but also being overwhelmed and a little sad that I never get to melt my absolute favorites/Club scents because I’m always testing/using up other things.

Yes, I’m relived so many others who commented here were with us… I wasn’t sure if it was just me. I’m going to really think about what I’m ordering and why … and get back to enjoying my wax more.

I agree about the LTOs. I’m conflicted because particularly the harvest, scents of the season, holiday brick, Dumbo and now the Mardi Gras collection had/have some absolute loves for me. So I really enjoy the creativity of it all. However when you couple that with scents of the month and now all these new LTOs and only 30 days to try bring back my bar. It is overwhelming. There are so many catalog scents that I planned to try but haven’t had the chance to because the LTOs jump to the top of my to try list. And now here I am nearing the catalog change looking back at the catalog wishing I had ordered some of those catalog bars. I don’t like the narrow window that some LTOs are available. Particularly when in my space is a significant number of them underperform. With bring back my bar scents (which I have some loves in) and some LTOs the duration of performance is at or under 14 hours. Sometimes significantly under. I have spreadsheet that I use to track performance and preferences and I’m planning to dive into that data this week to see if my notes reflect that trend. I just think the rush to purchase sucks some of the joy out of it all. I love the catalog fragrances and plan on giving them my focus. I’m raising my bar for what I will snag from LTOs in the future. And I may stop grabbing the scents of the month. Out 12 months last year only 3 impressed me and had constant performance. Happy new year!🎉 Love hearing what you are warming.

I think the only thing that overwhelms me about it is that as consultants, we have early access, and it makes us feel like we need to buy and melt every collection before they release to the public. I know I’m in the minority here - I personally LOVE the variety of having lots of LTO options, and I also really enjoy holiday- and seasonally-themed collections. As far as consultants go, it’s ok to only purchase what you are interested in. Same for us as customers. I personally appreciate that Scentsy is thoroughly offering something for everyone! We just have to take a deep breath and look at the new LTOs like we do that catalog, and choose the things that interest us. :)

I agree with you about LTO’s. I am so overwhelmed by everything coming out so fast. 😕 my main thing is I get the early access… smell them… but I’m still warming the last “new” thing.. by the time I get to warming it… it might be going away.. 🙁

I think you should only review what you want to. You don’t need to buy every collection. If you are curious, put it in your club and review it when your club comes. I personally enjoy when consultants have longer videos on KZread rather than lots of super short videos which usually happens because there are so many LTOs coming out and consultants are trying to review them. Don’t feel pressured to buy the collections unless you want to. Or if you like one out of the group, stick it in your club 😊

That is the Happy Herbitat from a few years ago in the Spring with a garden inspired wax collection.

Simply Vanilla sounds nice. Wish I had it.

I feel like it would be very challenging to go through regular season bars when there’s so many LTOs. I guess it’s nice that there’s options for many different noses and people with varying scent preferences. I find now that I know the scents I enjoy (sandalwood, fir, pine, vanilla and bakery) I will try those scents out and purchase them. I love your channel!

The LTO's are out of control. I am sticking to just the catalog in 2024.

It can get overwhelming with all the lto I find I can always provide cold sniffs but a lot of the time I get behind in warm reviews as I’m trying to keep up with warming both club my personal stash and the new things. Then the new collections will stay on my club for a while because I havnt got around to trying them. I’m excited to see new things I just can’t keep up before something else new. Comes along

Yes- it is overwhelming having all the LTO. I feel pressure to add to my club and I feel that’s what they are wanting to do. I want to enjoy the catalog items this spring/summer and less LTOs. I love variety and I use the scent description and the KZread reviews to narrow down what I buy. I get tired of my club bars and periodically replace them with new ones. But I understand that you must do what it’s best for you and pick what you purchase and review. Thank you for sharing with us!!❤

The number of LTOs overshadows the catalog. I wonder if they are trying to compete with vendors by having more choices. Or just trying to get people to purchase more often based on FOMO.

I’m so glad you said something about the LTO’s. I’ve been thinking it but felt like I might have been alone. Especially this past fall/holiday season, there was honestly too much. And I kept thinking “I don’t hear anyone talk about the catalog scents” because there was almost a catalog’s worth of LTOs released between September and December. It was kind of overwhelming.

Yep! Now, personally… I love the harvest & holiday LTO’s, and I can warm them pretty happily in the time frame they are offered… what really made me mad was getting valentines early access BEFORE Christmas….. somehow that was what did it for me. Please, at least wait till Jan.1st for us to move on in thinking about other seasons and celebrations….!!!

And the harvest and holiday scents are probably the most anticipated so I hope they never adjust those but I totally agree that some of the other smaller ones seem unnecessary and almost too close together. Yes, I'm way overwhelmed! I haven't even warmed all the Holiday scents. Didn't know if I liked them all or not before they went away on the 31st, so put them in club until I can warm them and decide if I want to keep them. Then that puts me not being able to melt and enjoy the ones I already know that I love. It becomes a cycle and I begin feeling anxious about the entire situation because I do want to try everything but it's no longer fun.

New consultant here👋 i 100% agree with you that there are just too many ltos coming out, i cant keep up. Im trying to run my scentsy business as cheaply and efficiently as possible. From now on, i will only purchase the ltos if i think i will love them because at the end of the day, im left with the remaining wax after sending samples🙂 thank you for voicing this.

Yes! Thank you so much for bringing up the LTO situation! In my opinion it is out of hand. I will admit that I have fomo so I feel like I need to try everything so this leads to me not ever enjoying my favorites and my club bars. So I feel very overwhelmed and I have considered many options from deleting my club all together because I don’t have enough time to warm those because of constant newness coming out or believe it or not just not being a consultant anymore. I love vender wax also so I feel like maybe if I’m not a consultant anymore I will be more picky and choose scents wisely and not jump on all of the new stuff coming out. I honestly don’t know what to do but I do know I need to make some changes this year. But I’m with you when I saw the st Patrick’s collection I thought this has just went too far now. It’s just too much. 😂

I feel overwhelmed with what came out of the LTO's from the Harvest through the end of the year. Really with trying to warm all the new scents I have not had much of a chance to warm anything in the catalog. I do love new scents but I really wish they would just bring more of the classic scents back. Love all your videos and your honest opinion of each, I think we like most of the same scents. I have to agree, the LTO scents have been overwhelming these past few months. I watch alot of reviews before deciding what I want to try. I simply cant afford to purchase every collection coming out. Though I do appreciate how amazing alot of these scents in LTOs are. I have to be super picky with my club now cause its getting too big. I find myself trying to warm my club bars and trying LTO scents more than enjoying the new catalog bars. It'd be nice for them to slow down so we can catch up from the holidays.

I always love the new stuff so I wouldn't want to see them stop or even decrease necessarily. It does feel a little crazy recently though which is a challenge for those of us that feel like we want to smell everything. I am happy that Scentsy didn't discontinue anything from fall/winter LTO's until end of December this year. I thought for sure they were going to yank the harvest scents at the end of Nov. Thankfully we got another month with them. I think BBMB needs to be around for 2 months (at least in terms of being able to club them). It takes over a week to get the bars and there are way too many to really warm through and get to know them all in a month. I don't like having to put things in my club before even getting a chance to warm through them. Maybe they should just make the LTO's available for longer periods of time so it's not such a tense decision process. I also use vendor wax and I'm going to be dialing back those purchases this year to focus only on vendors that really have been performing well for me on the regular. Scentsy just works the best for me in my home.

I LOVE Scentsy, but I stick to only the fragrances in the catalog and don’t pay much attention to LTOs, for the sake of the chance of me loving more scents to put in my club, which is already too big! Although, if there is a coffee LTO, I will definitely try that! I’m on the hunt for a good, lasting coffee scent.

Yes the amount of LTOs has become so overwhelming for me. I used to buy everything that was new but I’ve recently started skipping several collections just so I can be warming my stash and reducing the amount of wax I have. I determined it was just not possible for me to both be warming what I already have and love and reducing my stash size and also trying everything new at the same time.

Like the majority of commenters, I agree that the LTO's are overwhelming. My club is mostly LTO's so I can warm them when I can and keep them if I fall in love. But I have a tiny budget and can't keep more than 25 items. I also can't melt that fast. I have 3 warmers, and work full time out of the home so my warmers are off most of the time. The weekend is really when warming gets done. I have to tell myself "there is always gonna be a new scent" to ward off the FOMO. I pick out 1 scent from major collections but I can't get all of them. So far this month we have 33 new scents to try and there is still the Dalamation scent coming. That's like a second catalog worth's! I am still trying new scents from last year cuz I can't get to them in 6 months. I got scent circles to try this season's new scents cuz I don't know how else to do it and now with pods being released in SOTM, I have to fit the urge to try those. I almost never get SOTM unless it's really something to call home about.

Personal thoughts: while the LTOs are a lot, I think Scentsy has taken a different direction over the past few years with a goal to offer something for everyone rather than everything for someone. The LTO’s also generate a lot of money from clubs. People talk of FOMO, and Scentsy is well aware of that. As consumers, (this includes consultants because you are a consumer with the way the company is set up) we’re going to have to self regulate to know and honor thyself a little more and take back our reigns. It’s ok for a consultant to pass on a collection while still promoting it. You’re great at what you do. For me personally, I don’t love a lot of fruits so many LTO’s are an easy pass. That said , if a person loves fruits, they may want to start paying more attention to the fruits they like and stick to LTOs with those scent notes. I wish they’d slow down because like many others, I think their shipping timeframe is way too long for a billion dollar company (which they are now registered as). I also think the quality is sliding along with their quality control. Going forward, we may have to make some changes as to who we give our money to based on whether or not it feels like an even exchange of energy.

I think you’re referring to the licorice spice tea by stash…love it. As far as LTO scents, as a consumer I don’t tend to fall for the hype that comes with something only offered for a limited time. It seems slightly manipulative to get the consumer to buy large quantities for fear of missing out and never being able to find a similar scent. I like to keep my wax supply manageable and will never buy multiple’s because I don’t melt every day.

Thank you for addressing the point on the LTOs. As a consultant and a customer I find it very hard to keep on top of it. For example i still have lots of Christmas waxes I haven’t even touched as there was quite a few releases, then having the carnival collection and valentines. I can’t warm it all ! I think on this occasion less is more ! You run your own business with Scentsy and need to make your own money not spending it all on early access. Enjoy what you have ❤

It's hard to keep up with everything and not get overwhelmed with club bars. It's easier for me to ignore spring and summer. I'm more fall and summer scents. But this year, I'm gonna be very selective on what I order. I won't try things out of my wheelhouse and melt more my club scents, which is growing. I'll still order from BBMB!

I’m just a customer and think it’s great that LTOs are offered but it’s far too much to keep up with. It’s too bad they don’t offer consultants testers of the upcoming new scents. Seems like they should offer a way to keep it simple and less costly for their consultants.

I think you g ur ace bc a good point here. At one stage of the game we did get lto testers, that changed when early access kits became a big deal. The ability to make samples ahead of time is great, so for that I’m grateful.

While I do appreciate the LTOs, I did get overwhelmed during the fall /winter season. I would like it to be a bit more streamlined, especially when it comes to availability dates. With lots of releases just a week apart, a lot of people are spending double (some times triple) for shipping. Yes, we can wait, but then the added fomo comes into play. I may not be articulating myself correctly, but I'm sure you get what I'm trying to convey.

I like having LTOs to surprise us and keep things fresh between catalogues however, to fully enjoy them you need appropriate timescales between releases . I actually think Scentsy do themselves a disservice sometimes by bringing out so many close together that collections don’t get the attention they deserve. If you know there’s say 3 collections coming in the next month and you have to budget accordingly , then somethings got to give way unless you are lucky enough to not worry about budgets! I personally wait for the reviews before purchasing because it’s too expensive to waste money on a poor performing bar, but I would watch any and all of your videos Elizabeth with or without every release reviewed …let’s face it there’s always going to be someone who reviews them for us on you tube . Sorry long winded comment but the short answer would have been …yes I agree with you …too many. 😂 😊

I don't enjoy all the LTOs. I find that I don't even get to enjoy the regular catelog items. Some of my favorites that return I can't even buy trying to keep up with all the new it's plus club items.

I always order the BBMB early access and everything else I watch reviews on KZread to know if I should buy the early access or not and sometimes I just add a couple of the bars to my club to try and save on shipping. If I don’t like a bar from early access or LTOs then I find I want to get rid of it out of my collection quickly and I am warming bars that I don’t enjoy. I want to get to the point where I only warm club bars but then more and more bars come out and I think ohhh I’ll like that

I am ok with plenty of collections bcz I dont buy whole collections I only pick and choose and throw them in my club. Of course I am only a customer and I know it is a different situation. I would tell anyone selling scentsy to only buy what you have an interest in as a consumer because another consultant will review whatever you dont because it is in their scent wheelhouse. My 2 cents😁 I will watch whatever scentsy vids you post.

LTO’s are getting out of control and I’m skipping over most of them for the next few months. BBMB there isn’t really anything that stands out for me. The shipping quite frankly is expensive, especially if you’re making multiple purchases a month. I’ve got to rein it in and warm what I already have on hand. I do love your reviews and they help me make an informed decision whether I want to buy or club a bar.

Interesting subject on LTOs. Personally I’m not overwhelmed with the LTOs and look forward to the new scents. Not everyone likes or buys every LTO or BBMB bar that Scentsy launches; however, if a consultant’s decision to melt through every LTO or BBMB on top of their club, and vendor stash i can see where this maybe overwhelming to get through it all. As a consumer, we watch consultants channel to see what their thoughts are on the new scent(s).

Many companies including Scentsy will always continue to add new products on a regular basis. You would be surprised how many more prefer the new and exciting products on a regular basis.

I'm personally finding a lot of the LTOs are the same scents but just mixed around. Like the mardi gras fruity ones and the next SOTM are essentially the same. Tangerine, plum, pineapple. It's just not very inventive to have the same profiles come out one after the other. So i'm just buying what i find sounds appealing and not every release (im in australia, just a customer)

I don't like all of the LTOs and skip most of them. Like others, I appreciate that you purchase them to give us a heads up, but I sure wouldn't fault you for deciding to review only the collections that are appealing to you personally. I like the idea that someone suggested of Scentsy offering less expensive early access samples for consultants. That way they could guide customers without breaking the bank. I won't hold my breath, but it would be nice.

There are too many LTOs and as a consultant we feel we need to try everything FOMO I get. It's just overwhelming and I'm really going to have to get pickier on what I buy this year. I got Mardi Gras and Valentines but I think I'll pass on St Patricks stuff. I have a huge club coming in February those are my favorites why they are in my club and I want to warm them. I don't have time or space to collect and melt all these collections. Spring and Summer isn't really my season so hoping that will help with buying less 🤞 The vendor you were talking about is Melting Memories (Veronica), Birch and Buttercream is a nice scent. Thanks for all the reviews you do and do only what you want to do cause I'm sure someone else will review ones you don't. I watch enough videos to get pretty solid reviews on scents.

I think Scentsy operates under a FOMO-based business model and that is what is driving all the LTOs, mini collections, etc. I don’t personally like it. For example, the Friends collection came and left really quickly, which I assumed was because the bar had such negative feedback overall. But then they just rereleased it after only a month or two pause (and with no reformulation). 🤷🏼‍♀️ Also, I don’t feel you need to get everything - that is way too much expense and pressure. I do love your reviews - I appreciate hearing about what’s in your club and look forward to trying some « tried and true » bars in future BBMBs.

Unless it is a scent that I think I will LOVE, I have stopped buying the LTO's. More than that, I have stopped promoting everything to my customers. I just felt like I was bombarding them ALL THE TIME with new things! I appreciate new scents and new collections, but Scentsy needs to slow it down.

I do not like the overabundance of lto collections. My original consultant's not doing Scentsy anymore so I'd have to blind buy everything. Even if I had a local consultant, I wouldn't like ALL the LTOs because then it's so much extra work and expenses for my consultant and I don't like the way that feels. I think there's a little tiny piece of corporate rationale that's actually hoping to bring happiness to people and do something fun for the customers. But I think Scentsy's mainly trying to do two other things with this LTOS strategy: make money off the consultants needing to buy things so that they can show their customers, and get people to set up clubs for things they like but won't be able to get after a little minute. It sounds like there are some really nice scents rolling around out there and that's cool but I'd much prefer to see them in the catalog. (SOME ltos would be ok, but I never liked them because, again, I don't like blind buys and don't think it's fair to expect the consultants to buy everything so their customers can get a sniff!) Poor consultants! Maybe you and some of the other youtubers could divvy up the things- like either by collection or do partials or something- so you don't all have to get all the things all the time? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the content. I put you guys on when I'm doing other stuff cause it's just friendly background activity and things I like to hear about but I definitely feel for you guys!

LTO's are verrrry overwhelming. Ive skipped my club and changed frequency so many times because i have too many "ooh i want to try those" bars. Ive learned not to buy em all. I appreciate all reviews but you should be warming things you love majority and reviewing less. ❤

Way too many LTO. I rely on reviews and there is no way all of you Scentsy youtubers can do a warm review on so many scents before released to public. Also it is overwhelming and I think overshadows the catalog scents. I get caught up in the new and then overlook catalog scents that are actually much better than most LTO. I will no longer buy LTO in 2024- just catalog & BBMB.
