I can't express how much planes have saved me. Everytime I can't figure out the form, or feel like I lost it along the way, I sculpt in the planes and everything looks MUCH better and makes sense.
Blender users - I just followed along and made the same thing. It can totally be done. The only real issue is finding something to emulate the pinch brush, but I kinda managed doing a reverse crease, reverse draw sharp and scrape to define the plane changes. Thank you follygon! You're one of the only 3d sculptors that actually gets female faces right so everything on your channel is such a goldmine of inspiration!
The last seconds of the video was the most useful part for me, thank you!
This has helped me understand face planes so much thanks!!!

Glad I could help!
Omg, this video... i can't express enough how this helped me.. i'm a blender user, but the things that you teach here, will help anyone... thanks a lot...
Thank you for this video. I spend way too much time worrying about poly groups as I want a clean Z-remesh. This video showed me its okay to just dive in and save topology for the end.
Thank u so much for explaining each process, comprehensive and rich
wow this video is underrated! ive watched most of ur other videos too but this one helped a lot w understanding the basic shapes! someone told me that honestly theyd recommend rly studying and focusing on the basic forms and shapes for like a month+ lol taking their advice, this helped me a lot to even better understand than before so thank u
The beginning have always been my biggest problem, so this is very helpful, thank you. I do hope that you saved this and will make a part 2 to point out major muscles and fat areas to think about. I have the Anatomy for Sculptors book, but seeing it done live in a video is very nice.
Nice man this is the exact topic I was looking for zbrush
Thanks for this Folly. Learning these planes pushed me to the next level. I was frustrated.
Thanks man! Going to dive into full Z brush, and I've been bringing your stuff!
Thanks❗ this video was needed
Espectacular.
thank you so much sculpted my first face without headaches or wanting to give up! How would i use this method for a female face?
thanks a lot,
with the latest zbrush 2021.6.2 you can just hold S and slide the stylus left or right to change brush size now instead of right clicking. or tapping S then click to slide.
Love the video. Feels less intimidating to me and you explaining everything in each step is also nice. I got a question, If the perspective view is what maters the most (because I think you render things in perspective view) why do you keep going back and forth form perspective and orthographic view?
Have any videos on posing your sculpt?
I was able to get your youtube video in my Quest 2 but there was no sound. I am new to the Quest 2 so I guess I have a lot to learn.
Perdón una pregunta con esta técnica se puede hacer face realistas, cartoon, animy etc. Se que son diferentes estilo pero se puede como base.
You know I would love you to do I would love you to try and sculpture something on dreams PS4 PS5
Thanks for sharing, would you be using Nomad Sculpt as another source of app for your work? 😅

@Gaming Mania he already made a video on how he use nomad sculpt from the past, that's basically the only reason why I even ended up on this channel 🤷
is that potion seller in the thumbnail?
Now I want to see you make an airplane... just saying...
What I think about when sculpting a head: "Boyohboy do I suck at digital sculpting"
I don't think Core has any clipping tools and transpose just... doesn't work or I simply don't get it
