I love your videos! I’m going to study ADE at UC3M this fall, I’m currently doing a curso de idiomas at la UAM (DiLe), which is super fun. Madrid es muy chula y no pienso volverme a EEUU 😅

Hello Val ! Thank you for sharing your experience with us ! I really want to study in Madrid , however I still have no idea how to find a nice apartment with a good price! Could you please advise me with some of the good neighbourhoods to live in in there ! And how to find a good one is it by an agency or some kind of apps of renting... Hi Val!! I’m a senior in high school in the U.S. and am thinking about going to UC3M for college instead of going to university in the states. I was wondering if you would be able to film a “day in the life” video of a UC3M student? There aren’t very many videos like this, and I would love to see your perspective on what college in Spain/UC3M is like as a full-time international student (most videos are of semester study abroad)!!

hey! I'm moving to Madrid to teach as a language assistant with Meddeas in September. my mom is highly unsupportive, she really doesn't want me to go and is trying to force me to stay and do a masters - I've made up my mind im definitely going but is still hard to accept that she isnt accepting it at all - I feel like when it comes to the day Im going there could be a lot of drama or a fight. I have savings and spent lots of time in Madrid as I au paired in a village outside it before. Im about to graduate from college as well. Do you have any tips on how to deal with this sort of situation? I've tried talking to my mom but it isnt working at all, seriously she just isnt changing her mind. Ive paid my deposit for the job and am definitely going, I'm super excited but my mom is making it pretty bad for me, do you have any advice?

Hi Amelia!! That’s hard I’m sorry! Keep positive, your mom probably thinks she knows what’s best for you because parents always want what’s best for their kids, but once she sees that this is what actually makes you happy and once you’re here and can see everything is going well, she’ll come around 🤍

Hi Val, I’m currently a junior in highschool in Pennsylvania. I want to study Spanish abroad because I love the language and I want to be an English teacher. I am looking for universities in Spain to go, however I am coming up empty handed. Do you have recommendations on universities in Spain to look into? Muchas Gracias, Christian

Hello!! Yes, the University Carlos III and the university of Alcalá have options for foreigners to get in without having the take the exam that they take in high school (like our SATs). If you can’t find it on their website try emailing them!

Also, if you’re looking to just study Spanish you should look into a program called DiLe at the Autonomous University! I did it and it’s great

@@valpatino we have a lot of prices of this, 1 zone: 40 euros (but you can have it with 20 euros), If you have less than 25 years 80 euros for 3 months (but you can have it with 40 euros),
