Actually that olive green one is a leather cover. Pretty sure the soft versions are the ones that don’t lay flat. The color on that olive one is so beautiful. I bought the lavender one and the cats bow and tie for myself.

I’ve been using Erin Condren for the last couple of years and want to switch it up a bit. Absolutely LOVING the weekly and cousin. A bit nervous about whether I’ll like the paper, but I guess I won’t know until I try it. Excellent review video!

Yay!!!!! I know the A6 has me really pumped but I’m also worried for my A5 because of it 🤣

A6 is such a cute size lol! I've had the daily A6 before and enjoyed using it. I'm going back and forth on getting a Day Free and another Weeks.

That olive is pretty! Happy to see that it does lie flat!! They did knock it out of the pack with covers this year. Hard decision. I ended up with the black in the paper series. Love it!

Dang it, Julie!! Now I want a Cousin! You make it look so good. This was my first time ordering from Hobonichi and I wanted to order solely for the aqua/teal covers they had. Pink and teal are my colors. Can't wait for my order to get here. I got 2 different Weeks along with my order because I couldn't help myself lol.

I got a weeks with the "Tiny Dragons" aka seahorses on the cover. They are just too cute! I also got the penguin and panda mini tapes. Still haven't decided if I "need" a cousin to go along with it. Edit: HAHA! I caved. I realized I "needed" a cousin too. So, you can't have too many planners, right?

Love your choices 😍 have not ordered yet but I have used a weeks in some capacity since for the last several years so I bet it is coming 🤣 also considering a HON- just because I want to try it and I really want either a weeks or hon in the Liberty fabrics. If you decide to sell any of your pens, please let me know! I need to find people to do a group order with because I always want the pen.

I noticed some of the shapes on the 365 check off are cats, so cute! Also I wasnt gonna get a weeks this year, but seeing the olive green it goes perfectly with my Galen weeks cover in the green, so I may just have to suffer UK prices for one 😂😂 Great Haul!

I got the botanical A5 HON. I also got the weeks in Sangria in English and the Year of the Dragon one in Japanese. I’m a terrible enabler because I also picked up some SI planners and TN…. I have a lot of medical issues as well so I know I need different planners for different things. oh also the weeks are all in the old Tomoe River paper which is why it looks different. 😊 Love your video and definitely going to subscribe for more.

I just ordered a cousin and it will be my 1st hobonichi product...i plan to use either ink joy gel 0.7 or sarasa dry 0.7mm. Do you think that these pens will work ok with the paper?

I love the olive green also, however, I went with the Another night of sparkler stars, the artist design with the cat on a wire. As for how many notes pages, you get 366 pages next year plus the 5. I will probably do a pen test on the new paper on that one. Or pick up a A6 Day Free, since all the memos and notebooks still have the old TR paper in them. Then just keep the A6 as a pen swatch book.

How do you use the Weeks planner? I want a Cousin, but just wondering ....

Question - I have never used an Hobonichi and want to try for 2024. I have been bullet journaling and using the Moleskine and Leuchtturm1917 A5 books. Is the Hobonichi Cousin the same size comparison? I am thinking the A6 Hobonichi might be too small for me. Thank you so much in advance!!

Have you ever considered the cousin avec? Especially since you don't mind it in Japanese. That might help with the bulkiness, from what I've heard. Still trying to talk myself into getting one but afraid I won't be as consistent as I'd like

I picked up ‘Another night of falling star sparklers’ . Its the one with the animals on a tight rope. It’s my first hobo weeks. Now I want the Olive too. 🤦🏽‍♀️

The Hobonichi pen actually IS the UNI Jetstream, just in a custom design. So you can get the refills and make it exactly the colors you want.

@@JuliesPlans Not all of the Uni Jetstream multi pens have a pencil, just the Uni 4&1 body style, which has 4 pen ink colors (Black, Blue, Red, and Green) as well as a pencil 😊

The original techo has 2 time tables as well they are on 2 pages instead of 1. I didnt know the day-free a6 only had 1, I wonder if the a5 also only has 1 🤔

It went on sale on Sept 1st. It’s now sold out, and you’ll have to wait until it restocks in Nov. Or you can try to find one still in stock with a US retailer.

I'm not going to lie I'm more than a little jealous. I actually ordered exactly at launch Tokyo time because I have a family member that lives there. And they might decide to send it between the 6th and 14th of September. 😮 Again, jealous. 🤓

​@JuliesPlans Jetpens does not. I ordered my first 2 weeks from them and neither came with a pen. It was one of the reasons I ordered from Hobonichi last year I was tired of missing out on the pens 😂

@@JuliesPlans Yep, the pen and the free gift (the little bag this year) are 1101 store exclusives. I think you can buy refills for the pen at JetPens or any other retailer that carries Uni products. But no other retailers will have the Hobonichi store exclusive Jetstream pen, neither for sale nor for free.
