What i learned over the decade of buying and selling MTG due to life situations... Is... not to sell MTG. Money comes and go, but buying back the cards I sold is a pain in the arse.

Only think ill say is joel buys to eventually sell some of this. I agree for the most part unless a card is extremely niche. I also only play commander

I really like it in the sense of using the store credit to buy cards I actually need. I've had quite a few speculations that have worked out very well, one of which being buying 20x White Plume Adventurer for $15/ea during their hype, and buying myself a NM Wheel of Fortune with that. It's such a risky scene but as long as you never try and go for already expensive cards, it's not horrendous if you don't buy into a hit

What a great video! The "What I'm Buying" series is a favorite of mine, and this is really great as well. I especially like the walk-through of the entire Card Conduit process because that sounds very useful for someone who is very organized anyways. I hope you keep this format going into a regular vid series.

Thank you so much for this video. I had been selling cards to TCG Player for credit to purchase cards I needed to complete my Modern and Pioneer decks but now that I have those built I think I will give Card Conduit a look.

Well I sold the cards I had planned to trade. Got near mint for most cards. They kept a card, gave me $0 and called it damaged.. then send it back if I get $0, I’m not donating! 25 days after shipping and I’m still unpaid. They cleared everything 2 weeks ago and told me they would pay me within a week. Update: payment info did not get received successfully.. I must’ve fat fingered the account #. They emailed me to notify me and I missed it.

This is really sick. I have always been a bit too nervous to sell on there- I think this video will change my mind for sure lol. I have a lot of stuff I need to sell

Painters tape 💯 The amount of people that have shipped me cards with regular tape, and maaan, it just sticks to absolutely everything! I've received unsleeved cards that have slipped out the toploader, and stuck to the regular tape that's been used to fasten it, and trying to remove that off the card is not a nice experience 😐

Yeah, i use a post-it with the sticky on one side of the toploader, then scotch tape the other side so theres absolutely no chance the card (sleeved for redundancy) will contact adhesive. Its really common sense and theres still many ways to insure not only a clean card but a nicely reusable toploader as well!

Idk I don't want to be that guy but judging from what you showed the grading is a little sus. I noticed pretty much all the foils (with the exception of the secret lairs) got downgraded, and they did not look cloudy or even slightly played. They must be extremely strict with their grading. If they are going to be super strict with their grading they should leave a description of the reason for the downgrade. Just a constructive suggestion. Still seems like a great service! Tcgplayer locks your buy list price for 10 days. It won't change if they get it in that time frame. So tcg has that on conduit

I just bought eight copies of uncle Istvan. He really works well in combat trick decks. Him, phyrexian obliterator, and a few combat cards to make them battle.

I would not of sold the thassa's. Those I would trade or gift to friends. The rest is hoopla. The treasure buddies are deece but reprint fodder. I honestly wouldn't sell god creature type cards. Moreso lair versions. Those are NRLV (New Reserved List Variants.) I do think your mystic reflections will be worth something when final fantasy arrives.that is a cloud type ability. Not a spec but more a thematic fandom thing. I have my foil copy lol. I don't keep more than one of any card except staples like swords, beast and gift. My movie poster lair is permacollection lol. Be careful with foil full art variants. Lairs have the lowest reprint possibly along with legendary halo mythics. Unless wotc is full retarded. They scared me with the inventions borders. That's pretty much when I lost interest in speculation. Ellivere is an interesting card, it's the only card that makes virtuous tokens. To me it hints at the possibility of an enchantment token resurgence in 2024-25. I wouldn't spec her but calix and yenna yes. Ellivere's uniqueness is sus. Most other cards are kinda obvious. Wotc is setbinding (using mechanics and archetypes from last to next set) Blink is a beloved mechanic. Hence my thought on thassa. Replicate may be in final fantasy. I'm hopeful for some sort of materia reference. Soldiers, ally and knights possibly. My clone deck is nuts. Ready for anything. My esika is ready to remove anything. I never trade or sell my equipment. I only have singles of them tho lol. Whether you ignore this or not it's whatever. I'll still be savage in 2024. There will always be haters. Next year they may just watch me rise and it will be on mountains of their salty saltiness. Lol Still subbed, still watching if anything this is for y'all's algorithm. Lates
