Why do we carry out the actions we do every day? Our achievements in technology have seen us being able to explore life forms on planets millions of miles away. Whilst we have advanced in science, have we developed the strengths of humanity? Alexandros will be discussing the powerful capacity of humanity through his unusual background, exploring why our future will be determined upon our ability to understand society as humans.
■ Speaker:
Alex is a young and very ambitious Loughborough University student with an unusual life story. He has used his life experiences and insights to set up Future4all after the riots broke out in London and across the UK in the summer of 2011. He says: "I formed Future4all after the London riots to help the majority of innocent and hard-working youngsters in London as a positive reaction to quell all the negative headlines". Alex is also the IMechE (Institute of Mechanical Engineers) Young Engineer of 2012, the Vocational Qualification Learner of 2011 and has received the Spirit of London Achievement through Education 2012 from the Prime Minister himself, Mr. David Cameron.
