I LOVE Cake me to Paradise! To me, it smells like citrus and sweet passion fruit. Also love A’peeling Apple, it’s so good! I think it’s a dupe for BBW Country Apple. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on so many new scents!

I totally agree about soft Plumaria. I had it going into warmers in my living room and it was so strong! I love the scent, but it was just too much so I think next time I’m going to put very vanilla and one of them and see if that tones it down a little bit

As a follow-up to the previous comment, I had a few other thoughts on good and bad smells. Human beings are strange, for instance, some of the ingredients we use in perfumes, like Amberger, I don’t know if the patient is going to get that correct correct, or some of the muses that are pretty close to what comes out of a skunk, are useful perfume ingredients, but on their own, they smell, absolutely terrible. Also, because things have similar compounds, things, that we generally think that smell, good, may remind us temporarily of something else. For instance, there is a note in some coffee, especially bitter, freshly brewed coffee, but when I smell it, for about 30 seconds, I have a panic trying to figure out where my dog has had an accident because that’s what it smells like. When I was helping clean out a basement where there were a lot of mice peeing in a lot of places, I discovered that that smell did have some similarity to the smell of microwave, popcorn, and now microwave popcorn is just not the same for me anymore. I think one of the most common complaints that people have about scented products, is a smell that they equate with cat pee. I’m not sure what compounds are similar between the two, but I am willing to bet that there are studies out there, linking certain compounds in cat urine, two certain constituents in different perfumes or synthetic fragrance products. I guess what I’m saying is that for someone who is really intent, either someone who relies on their sense of smell for a lot of the data they get on a daily basis, or someone who works in a perfume or scent base industry, they’re probably going to be able to find Strangely compelling notes on occasion, in objectionable smells, and strangely repellent notes on occasion, in generally pleasant smells, and draw parallels between the two.

Being home for Easter I warmed through Citrus Rosemary, Candy Crave and Aloha Orchid.

So I’m going to get a little bit, let me think, dark here for a minute, or deep, not in an emotional way, in an over, analyze, and things kind of way. So, when we talk about sent, we usually talk about scented things like Sensi or Bath and body Works or flowers, things that we like to smell, that we create specifically, in order to smell, that we go out of our way to smell. But we have to remember that smell is also very protective, the things that repel us the most are also the things that tend to be dangerous. For instance, there’s nothing that repels people more than the smell of poop, which is extremely dangerous, there are literally hundreds of different types of very dangerous bacteria, there, and in an evolutionary way of thinking, Staying clean, and keeping poop far away from us, was extremely important for health and safety. Spoiled food tends to have pretty specific compounds in it that repels us. I know there have been many studies done on pheromones, and it has been proven that we tend to be attracted to people who are genetically dissimilar from us enough to prevent, well, to put it bluntly, to prevent inbreeding, and protect offspring from their parents. I know they have also been studies Demonstrating things related to anxiety, for instance, smelling some of the compounds in blood, can bring on anxiety, which makes a lot of sense, because if you’re out in the wild, and you smell blood, it probably means that there’s a predator around, that could get you just as easily as it got whatever you are smelling. So in the case of perfumes or scented products with a honey note, I think it makes a lot of sense that some people find them really repellent. Think about what honey is, it’s essentially the bodily fluid, the product, of a bee. I’m not saying, honey is gross, I like honey, but if you smell real raw, honey, it doesn’t actually smell all that good, so I think it makes sense that a lot of people don’t like buzzworthy, or other honeybaked sense. I am willing to bet that the people who find blueberry cheesecake, objectionable, and smell, sour milk note, have gotten food poisoning from milk in the past, or perhaps had a couple of bad incidents where spoiled milk spilled in the refrigerator, or something similar. However, to be fair, I over, analyze everything, I do tons of research, I read too much, I write too much, and I talk too much, but I think the average person who says they just don’t like a scent, they think it’s gross, may not be able to really analyze what it is about the scent that bothers them.

One more Sensi specific example that I will share. So, the wildfires were really upsetting, I literally had nights when I couldn’t sleep properly, because I was thinking about the ecological impact, and going down the rabbit hole of all of those thoughts. Also, walking out of my house and smelling smoke, Was very anxiety producing, and they have already been some basic studies undertaken that have found that people smelling the smoke or smelling smoke for multiple days in a row, had much higher anxiety levels, and that smelling smoke in the future, would raise cortisol levels, the stress hormone, and also Heart rate, and respiration rate. Some of the sense that I used to really like from Sensi that had a smoke note in them, like scary, good, around the campfire, and even spiced number glow, I am now finding I don’t like as much anymore, And even more than that, if I walk into a room and smell one of them for the first time in a while, I have noticed some of the physical symptoms of anxiety do come back, even though I know, technically, intellectually, that there is no fire, not in my house, no wildfire outside, it’s still produces anxiety.

Oh wow I'm so incredibly sorry that you are experiencing this, it's got to be extremely upsetting. Have you maybe tried mixing some of those Bars to see if it makes a difference?? I personally love scary good with cinnamon buttercream or vanilla bean buttercream.

I had the most unusual experience with Buzzworthy. I really liked it on cold, I also smell the honey, the almonds and the floral note and find the combination very appealing. However, the first time I put two cubes in the warmer in our open concept living room, I didn't smell anything after an hour. So I put another two cubes in a second warmer. Again nothing. Then I put an additional cube in a mini warmer and waited. Again nothing. I think I was watching TV on the couch but after 1-2 hours the scent hit me like a train. It was unbearable! I had to open the terrace door and in a panic I took all the cubes out of the warmers. I never do that.. Now I still have three cubes left and don't know what to do. Will I not smell anything or will the air be unbearable saturated? 😅

I’ve never tried Buzz Worthy however, the same thing happened with Shamrock Splash! 1st use I did two warmers/2 cubes each ( open concept) it was perfect! I decided to double!😬4 warmers/8 cubes. I had to turn off the 2 additional warmers!!! I thought it wouldn’t be a problem with vaulted ceiling’s but was I WRONG!!!😂🌺🌸🌺 19:17

I warmed Wild Cherry & Sakura the other day, if you want to call it that. I could barely smell it. 😩 I going to have to try it in the bedroom and bathroom and see if I can smell it. Have you tried it yet?

While this comment is fresh in my mind I will say Hibiscus Sunset is a DUPE FOR BERRY FAIRYTALE!!!! I’m so happy because I don’t have a club and soon as I got my bars I warmed Hibiscus Sunset in the whole house and it’s SO SO GOOD!!! ❤❤❤

YES YES YES!!!! I totally agree! I have said that from the very first time I smelled it. I actually think it’s better because it’s stronger than Berry Fairytale!

Hibiscus Sunset, does infact semll like amoxicilian... its ok.. i did like it at first but im not loving it like i was.. in the living room is was extremly light.. but in the bedroom, 2 cubes are plenty..anymore than 2 and it wd be too much!!!

I'm getting angry with scentsy. My club shipped 23rd March and I added some bars (out of stock that went into club bit didn't think would come until the June shipment. Anyhow they delayed shipping and added them this time. Also I added follow the rainbow (out of stock ) but it went into club before 23rd shipping but hasn't been shipped even though on Saturday 30th March said shipped. Not happy

What do you recommend for something similar to oodles of orange? Rather in the new catalog or what’s coming back this summer with BBMB? 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have been using Scentsy for years throughout my whole house. I have 3 cats and they have never had a problem with Scentsy.
