So many nutritionalist say to eat a huge breakfast to start your metabolism ,then a minimal lunch and dinner. Every time I try that I totally gain weight and feel yucky. I feel so much better when I continue my fast to about 11am. I’ll eat a big brunch (11am) and be fine all day and eat a small light dinner around 5-6pm. Keeps that 85 pounds off that I lost five years ago.

Came to say thank you so much for this channel! Was diagnosed with T2 diabetes almost a year ago and the changes I had to make with my diet were extreme and difficult. There was tears and huge emotions. Your recipes and great attitude made this journey so much easier. Went low carb as a means of survival and lost 70 lbs in the last 10 months as a by product of dietary changes. Once again, thank you!

Tip for low carb or keto peeps on toast with jam if you can't find keto bread and don't have time to make it. Pepperidge farms very thin bread is 6 g net carbs and good good jams are like 4 g and use only stevia and eyrithritol as sweetener. One tbsp with one slice toast goes good with chia pudding laced with protein powder and some scrambled eggs with meat. I did pepperoni in my eggs today. Also if you like creamer that's carb free nut pods has some coconut and almond creamers including coffee cake flavored that are unsweet you can use in coffee or tea with stevia. I go with white tea since higher caffeine messes with my ibsd. Just a suggestion. I'm strict 2mad maybe using the tea as a fast mimic since it's zero carb zero protein. I do well with 20-30 g net carbs but too far under 20 causes massive issues because I over produce insulin. Also rye bread is a good option. My first meal is where I put the majority of my carb intake while supper is more protein and fat packed. Right now I'm canning some milk that was getting old so I can make yogurt with it later without it spoiling. Gotta love using milk to easily make my own yogurt or cheese to save money and reduce waste in my home. The whey works great for smoothies for me or added to coconut milk and some strawberry flavoring in a small amount for my kid. It's also good in my cats food or as fertilizer in my potted herb and veggie garden on my apt balcony. Gotta keep my whole family eating as healthy as I can.

All the keto- low carb stuff at the grocery is super expensive like that cereal where I live is 10.98. Walmart carries some gluten free keto stuff but it’s so super pricy there as well. For single moms who don’t make much money it’s very hard to eat healthy and eating out is out of the question. Average dinner for me and my 2 teens with water not soda is about 16.50 per person. It’s so hard, esp to buy all organic, etc.

@@misanthrope_01have you had BED? People with BED don’t just binge on junk food, they’ll eat anything in sight even two steaks yes. Fasting is such bad advice for someone with BED, they usually ‘fast’ (starve themselves) until they hit breaking point and binge. Sometimes they can ‘fast’ for an entire week and on day 7 they will binge.

As someone who had BED what worked for me was to let myself eat like a normal person, yes I gained weight but I needed to set a new standard of eating. Fix your relationship with food first then maybe 8 months later lose the weight. It’s a long process to heal your relationship with food and I sometimes still struggle with not restricting myself.

Hi :) I’ve been “keto” for 6 or 7 years , but I’m sure I haven’t actually been in ketosis for a long time. I stay really low carb. Well a 1.5 years ago, i got divorced and I blew off intermittent fasting and gained 20 lbs!! Now I’ve tried to go back to IF, but the weight won’t budge 😢 Wondering if keto isn’t really what I need this time around.. maybe I need to cut fat a lot , because clearly I don’t need it and go low carb/high protein? I think that’s what you’ve been doing right? Any resources?

I like Wild Zora for no cook meals. Their ingredients are clean and Paleo friendly. I do prefer the Filipino food I grew up eating. I cook large amounts to have leftovers. I need help to eat sinigang (Filipino sour soup) as it will spoil before I can finish the amount I normally make. Lee doesn't like it but our son Daniel loves it. It is a love or hate dish. Most people like pancit (stir fried rice noodle dish) and lumpia (fried egg roll). My mother is Filipino. My father was Caucasian. I look solely like my father's side of the family. I also have his calm personality and mannerisms. I can eat slightly higher carbs due to Mom's genetics. It also helps when I swing kettlebells. Don't have room to at my current place. Rice and rice products don't affect my size. Wheat makes my belly expand. I prefer savory breakfasts like creamed beef and eggs with hot Filipino sausage. I like to snack on trail mix, Wild Zora meat and vegetable bars, fruit (mostly berries, peaches, and coconut), and vegetables (like every except for beets and bitter melon). I get fullness from meat but I get more energy from vegetables.

No, Mayra. I've never seen anyone add ice to their cereal 😂. I haven't tried Magic Spoon yet, is it worth it?
