man it's so strange I used to not be able to STAND trisha, but then I started seeing her in other people's videos so I decided to check out her content. And i really love the straightforward no bullshit attitude she has. I like that her videos are just wherever without the perfect studio lighting, that she shoots vids without any make up or all the shit - I now love her stuff, it's relaxing to watch or listen to. she's actually really awesome, definitely taught me a lesson not to be so quick to judge. sorry trish - love ya now.

Girl, I lost 129lbs naturally just by learning to cook. I chose to go vegan "temporarily" to help me hold myself accountable and to make it easier to avoid fast food and it's been over a year now and I have no desire to stop being vegan which is pretty cool cause that definitely wasn't my plan. I love that it sparked my love of ACTUAL whole foods rather than this poison I used to eat. The key for me though was to find recipes that I not only love to cook, but love to EAT. I've suffered from an eating disorder most of my life so it was super hard to break the cycle of starving myself after binging and working out too much. Chocolate Covered Katie's blog was such a lifesaver for my sweet tooth too, man. SO GOOD, but healthy. Yay! And Simply Quinoa, Pick Up Limes, and Rachel Aust here on KZread have been super helpful too. Good luck, hon!! And remember, healing isn't LINEAR. Keep at it. You've got this. ☺

jt rover I think everyone goes through that at first. I was very fortunate that I'd lived with my vegan sister and her ex wife for years when I was a teen so I had a pretty good starting point. I'd also been vegan (mostly as a cover up for my eating disorder) for two years when I was 17-19 so that helped a bit. But I honestly learned most of what I know now from vegan nutritionists and dieticians here on KZread. They set off a huge curiosity and passion in me about where delicious, homecooked meals intersect with healthy, vegan ones. Like, last night I made vegan Aloo Bhaji(Spicy Curry Potatoes) from scratch, hummus from scratch, and baked falafel with fresh rice and fresh veggies for dipping and it was SUPER good. And it made my house smell incredible. Something about nourishing your body with the literal fruits of your own labor is so immensely satisfying. Cooking has become my favorite part of my day. It makes me sad that more people don't know this feeling yet!

lexxie lou typically, an increase in calories and/or an increase/“switch up” in physical activity will do the trick. Sometimes, the body just needs more food in order to stop holding on to excess weight. Sometimes it’s because our body has adapted to our workout regime and we either need to switch it up and/or increase ever so slightly. I’ve had people who actually needed to decrease their physical activity in relation to how much they were eating. Each case is unique though, and I would recommend you see a trainer to assess your specific case.

Over TWO YEARS I cut back. Every now and then I'll eat something sweet. Then I focused on cutting out all "dark colored" sodas. I ONLY drink sprite every now and then. It's a long process. So give her some times people. Everybody giving her crap probably couldn't do what's she doing with her diet right now 🙊

@gottfer Everyone's body is different and needs time to adjust differently...maybe cutting things from your life so abruptly didn't have adverse effects on you but it will on other people. That doesn't mean they're making excuses it just means they function differently. People should try to be as healthy as possible but if drastic changes are making you feel ill you shouldn't do it.

It's sad how nobody is ever happy. They put her down for eating unhealthy, and then she tries to make some changes and now some people are putting her down for trying to eat healthier. Fitness and nutrition are both complex things. It's not easy to learn what you should be doing and what you should be eating when you haven't been eating well or exercising in a while. Not condoning her bad habits, but at least she is trying to make a change. People should be supporting this rather than again putting her down. She really should work with a nutritionist and a personal trainer rather than going on a "juice cleanse" but... at least this isn't pizza and doughnuts. Go trish, you got it!!!

If you cut calories in small increments approx 100-at the MOST 500 (depending on how many calories you originally started with, you will BENEFIT SOOO much more and ultimately SUCCEED in keeping the weight off. Rather than going SOOOO low. I promise your body will pay you back for torching it like that by holding on to fat, and or slowing the metabolism down, and or plateauing often to where you end up binging back all the cals you neglected your body out on. (if that makes sense) Just a suggestion. I hope this helps

Everything in moderation! You have to find what works for YOU. Everybody has their own opinions on weight loss, but ultimately it is whatever works and is SUSTAINABLE for YOU is what is important. For me, I've found that depriving myself of foods I love completely never works. Just have what you like in moderation. I highly recommend tracking your calorie intake. I use the MyFitnessPal app. To lose weight, you have to make sure you have a calorie deficit so your body burns more energy than you eat. You go Trish! It's not an easy road. You will have ups and downs. But I believe in you. ❤😊

You’ll be better off in the long run if you reframe eating “good” or “bad” to more neutral terms, such as “I chose to eat something not on my usual plan” or “I’m back to eating healthily because that is how I choose to fuel my body”. Move your inner and outer dialogue from somewhat shaming terms to more empowered self talk.

I wouldn't really call it a crash diet if her body really isn't that hungry for quantity or variety, because it has reserves. It's just about not continuing to restrict as one gets hungrier. In the beginning of my WL journey, it was easy to be very regimented about my food, and therefore lose weight very quickly because I wasn't truly hungry. I found this helpful, and rewarding, getting to a more comfortable weight fast, and then allowing myself to get more creative with a variety of healthier food as my weight normalized.

This has been her problem with weight loss for a while. She goes into it with good intentions but, like you said, she’s to restrictive too fast and gives up. A healthy diet is one that you can stick to for the rest of your life and feel happy and can do it easily and that you enjoy. She should hire a nutritionist or look up meal plans.

I feel like this won't be super sustainable, green juice, boiled eggs and chicken. Seems very diet-y. I like boiled eggs but plain chicken would drive me mad. You don't have to be low carb or paleo or vegan or any other extreme diet to be healthy and lose weight. Don't set yourself up for failure. You love pasta and pizza.. I really like pita bread with veggies/bit of cheese/whatever toppings and baked in the oven like a pizza, or a tomato based pasta with lean chicken pieces, mushroom and parmesan on top. I lost 50 lbs eating like that. It doesn't have to be so plain!

    1. Fruits and vegetables are VERY healthy for you since they are FULL of water and essential vitamins that are key for fueling your body, keeping hydrated and having a good immune system etc. But you should eat more veggies than fruits since fruit contains fructose which you shouldn’t eat HUGE amounts of (shading miss Freelee) 2. Egg yolks contain tons of vitamins like A, B, B12, D and other’s which help your neurological system, fuel your brain and muscles.. So you shouldn’t think that they’re “bad” for putting or anything. But since you’re looking for weight loss you should have them in a ratio of like 1 egg yolk to 3 egg whites or something like that.

Okay, hun. I'd be careful about your impact on other people. That "don't eat too much fruit because of the fructose content" Is dead-ass the dumbest thing ever. Fruit comes from natural sorces, and i think thats what people are forgetting. Natural sugar. Natural fructose content. Say, for example, fructose in yougart. It's processed fructose thats why it's not healthy. The sugar content in the yogurt is bad for you because the sugr is processed. Honestly, i think you need to stop trying to drill that bullshit into people heads, because it's just not true. Iv seen people like you, and honestly you people need to educate yourselves properly. I can't even begin to adress everything else you have said that compleat bulshit. Id like it better if you didn't reply, im just putting this out there for the one impressionable kids that come and see your comment.
