It's very normal to feel an aversion for a kind of food after it makes you really sick. Even if it's not the exact food you had, so I think if sticking to something that you could eat with more confidence that's what's important. No point in forcing yourself to eat something you're going to be overly anxious about or that your body is still averse to. I somehow got food poisoning from sesame noodles once and I avoided noodle dishes for a while after it had happened because my body just associated it with poison lol. Which is a shame because I love sesame noodles.

@Miniysrch Жыл бұрын
I feel bad to hear that you’re traumatized eating Indonesian food. I suggested to try eat Indonesian food in restaurants/cafe. When you’re used to it, you can gradually eat at warungs (search/googled a good review warung around you). Also for those who are traveling to Indonesia, please don’t drink from the tap. Our tap water is not consumable/drinkable. It need to be boiled or filtered. Also try to ask the warungs/street stall vendors/cafe/restaurants if they made their ice from boiled water or filtered water. There are some ignorant sellers who still uses tap water ice for their drinks!!! That can cause you a food poisoning. Better to drink bottled drinks/cans if you’re not sure what kind of ice they use.

@@PinkSmiiley the safest options is to eat at restaurants, cafes, fast food chains restaurants. If you have a strong stomach, warungs and street stall are cheaper (and have a good variety of foods). Some actually clean…. But some are questionable. If you’re not sure, google for some review or just ask around. Restaurant, cafe, fast food restaurants usually has their own ice vendor who supplied them with (boiled water) ice so its safe :)

not u blaming your food poisoning on authentic Indonesian dishes
Tht pizza looks sooooo sooooo good
heyyy linda! the food looked amazing 🤩 but i suggest you to try babi guling which is smoked pork with crispy skin or ayam betutu atleast! and maybe you're not get food poisoning but just not get used to the food in here or maybe it was not hygienic enough cuz ur buying it from a small stall on the street, hope ur get well soon lindaa! Enjoy your day in Bali ❤
Honestly I only git bali belly from the western food never the indo food, and I was there for two months. I would personally avoid meat though at the warungs haha.
I feel bad for ur food poisoning, but u should still try indonesian food, maybe u should buy it from a big restaurant/cafe and not eat a spicy food, just to anticipate if you can't stand for spicy food, have a great day linda ❤❤❤
Soooo I know you got sick from eating at this one particular Indonesian food place. But you should still try other spots, i don’t really understand the point of skipping the local food when you are traveling. Especially in a country with such diverse and delicious cuisine.

Yum
THE PIZZA 🍕 🙈😋
I just arrived to Miami and I am gonna try all of your food recommendations here
hey linda!! i returned from a holiday in bali a week ago where i got *horrible* bali belly for a few days. i’m a vegetarian which definitely narrowed down the source of my food poisoning, but i think it came from accidentally ingesting tap water which is really unhygienic out there. try to avoid raw vegetables that may have been washed in unfiltered tap water and letting ice melt in your drinks, because ice out there is usually made from unfiltered water as well :) love your videos!!

I got food poisoned in Bali too🥲 It's prob because I used tap water to wet my tooth brush, but... I will be back in bali next week!
Yum!❤
I say its authentic if its made by authentic people with real ingredients enjoy the pizza!❤
I used to love seafood, then on a trip to the US I got super sick, not sure if it was from food or just a stomach bug but because I'd recently eaten crawfish and shrimp, it's really tainted them for me 😭 it sucks, I can eat them now but it's not quite the same as before! Hope you find a dish which is a bit different and might not feel so off-putting
It might have been the specific place that you ate it at. Please try more Indonesian food ❤
If you think getting food poisoning is correlated with a specific cuisine, think again.
I just went to Indonesia last month and the food is good but really spicy. I ate food mostly from the malls but still got diarrhoea. I always bring along my medicines for this reason. 😅
❣️❣️
I like South American bami ( noodle dish) which is based off of Indonesian cuisine, it will never be authentic Indonesian.
Was it street food? I've made Indonesian food before and probably just the peppers are potential diuretics.
Don’t blame you, I wish more travelers got educated on how unsafe the food and water there can be, when I travel back to Indo I will usually drink charcoal pills before every meal just in case because my stomach isn’t strong enough
What a waste of a food experience in a country with incredible cuisine, you can get food poisoning anywhere even Canada!

Big agree. Like Indonesian cuisine is more than nasi goreng and she could've tried so many different soups, curries, stews and satay or even the bread there if she wanted to avoid eating anything close to nasi goreng.
How long is your vacation?
Your skin is great and you eat a lot of food if I ate that amount I would be a cheese ball
the chance of foreigners getting food poisoning after eating indonesian food is like 98%. its either bcs of the amount of spices that we use, or its bcs of the hygiene (esp if ur not eating in a proper restaurant). i can say that ur totally missing out but its ok better safe than sorry😅
I'm not sure but I think ur supposed to dip the stale cookies in the tea
ohh tim tams
it's really unfortunate that you got food poisoning, but i promise you there's a lot of other authentic local food and i can guarantee i haven't got any food poisoning eating them everyday lol. you are missing a lot

Food poisoning or traveler’s diarrhea are very common, sorry for you. Even some of us indonesians still get food poisoning a few times in our life. 😅
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawww ❤
I understand that I got food poisoning from Costco and I am now scared to eat a hotdog.
Skincare plz 😢
I think what was the problem was the quality please give Indonesian food another go but stick to 5-star restaurants and hotels and avoid street food
Ughuhhhuggh so HUBGRY
I totally understand about the indo food because I loved Chinese food and I got sick and ate a lot of it and now the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach 🥴🤢
Gosh I wish I could eat all of these without worrying about adding an extra pound😢😢

You won’t add an extra pound just from eating these ❤❤ everything in moderation is key. Give yourself a bit of love ❤❤❤❤❤
Really? That's a shame. Indonesian food is amazing. When there I ate Indonesian food and Sushi, because, fresh fish! Foreign food there is mediocre.
You gotta try indonesian food in a proper restaurant! Not the one on the street. Please be mindful of what you are saying about local food.
