I came across this recipe for breakfast where you place Canadian bacon on toast, top it with an egg and cooked spinach. I changed the bacon with two slices of ham sandwich meat and used an egg white (which I generally hate, but it is good in this recipe) and sometimes mix with the spinach when I cook it. It is really good and helps you get a vegie/fiber item in the breakfast.

My breakfasts and lunches tend to be quite repetitive, as well. LOL! I usually eat 1 whole egg with 2 egg whites scrambled with some cheese for breakfast. Lunch is usually a turkey and cheese grilled sandwich made with half a slice of Lavash bread or a medium-sized low-carb tortilla. My dog usually gets the last couple of bites of both my breakfast and lunch.

I am 3 months post op from gastric sleeve and I am fine protein so hard to get in. I hate protein shakes and try to drink them and never finish them. I have started to try to put together a meal plan to make sure I get my protein every day

You look great Trina! I'm trying intermittent fasting at the moment, having a struggle but lost a little bit this last few weeks. I'm a size 20 so probably wouldn't be considered for gastric surgery, my BMI has just dipped below 40 so I wouldn't qualify. I'll battle on and hopefully get some more off when I get back to the gym. Just had covid so had to stay put indoors. Keep up the good work, you've changed so much it's amazing!! X

I've found intermittent fasting great for weight maintenance. It works for me now as I'm retired so I eat brunch and early dinner then nothing after dinner. It's helped with my IBS too - for some reason eating lunch always seemed to cause bloating. Half the battle is finding what works for YOU isn't it?

@@essanjay8604 absolutely, I seem to have fallen into eating lunch at 1pm and dinner between 5 and 6 so about 19 hours fast time. No breakfast. I did one meal a day a while through covid and it did work well but I've found that a little hard to stick to. I might work back up to one meal a day as I think I have high insulin resistance. Good luck with your own efforts! I'm on antipsychotic drugs which hasn't helped the situation but I've nearly got a stone off so I'll persevere and see if I can get down a dress size. Size 18 opens up more high street stores.

I am changing my diet in preparation for my bariatric surgery. My Nutritionists are telling me not to drink caffeine. Is that just until I'm back to a normal diet after my surgery? Can you work yourself back up to it?

@Becca Mason technically yeah but is stays flat like a fried egg if you get me as the water is shallower than it would be if you poached N egg (it obviously don't go crispy around the edges like a fried egg. either)
