This is the first bariatric video I’ve seen who eats spicy after surgery

I LOOOOVE spicy food. And I'm fortunate, it does not bother me at all :) Thanks for watching!

I love this type of videos. Gives me ideas for the future journey. You help motivate me to keep pushing. I'm 4 months post op and this last month I haven't lost any weight which is very hard to deal with mentally, so I was happy to see your video this morning to help encourage myself that it is ok.

I think of you every time I post one, since I know you (and a few others) have asked before! Which I appreciate!! I'm glad I can help encourage you. Believe me, the stalls will happen over and over, it can be mind-boggling BUT even if the scale doesn't move your body is still changing. Hang in there and keep on trusting the process!

The last meal looks so good, but I'm not a huge fan of spicy stuff. I like a little heat, but not a lot. I had rny 17 months ago!😊

It's so funny, I know a lot of bariatric peeps don't do spicy stuff anymore but I still love it LOL I hope you've had great success with your RNY 🤗🤗

I love Javy!! Try freezing for 2 hours and shake it up it will be like a slushy. Yummy. Caramel is my favorite.

As soon as I get back to work, I'm getting more flavors!

Everything looked delicious! I am a spicy fan too so the more the better. One of the things I still struggle with is "that's not enough food" syndrome. When I am making something, I have a tendency to make twice the amount that I can actually/should eat. Thank goodness I enjoy leftovers! 😂

Ha! That's so funny. One thing I have really learned is that I was previously cooking enough food for a freakin' army. LOL I have cut back the quantity and do more "single serving" options nowadays. We're not big "leftovers" people so I'm wasting much less food, and ultimately money.

Hi Sara, this was an excellent video. Really informative. I live in the UK and find the ounces and cups very confusing. Would you be able to include grammes when you say how much you are using? I would really appreciate it.... 😊

Thank you so much!! Yes, I will try to put the conversions on screen moving forward. It confuses me too, I wish we just used the same system as the rest of the world!!! 😆😆

I know this was posted a while back but was wondering if you count ALL liquids towards your 64oz or JUST water?

  • @LoseWeightSara

All liquids! Coffee and protein shakes count. But consult your bariatric team for how you should track, because it's another one of those things that is different from one surgeon to the next.
