Girl, this makes me so happy. I’m also a fiercely independent girl and love to go on day trips and travel alone. My mother always wants to dissuade me because it’s „dangerous“ and friends and acquaintances waver between calling me „brave“ and telling me they „could never do it“ because it’s „boring“ and „lonely“. Smh. I firmly believe that you won’t ever be truly independent unless you can be happy being by yourself traveling. I have a boyfriend and I love traveling with him, but traveling by myself is just such a different feeling and I enjoy it a lot
