I've come to the conclusion that that as a child she showed so much love for her mom's cooking that her mom kept bringing her the dishes....

I really like it how Karissa tries different cultured foods, and if she isn’t a big fan of it she won’t be rude about it but instead she would state her opinion on the food and why she doesn’t like it, not setting a bad mindset to other people who never tried it. Thanks Karissa for being so respectful, and kind to other cultures!!!❤❤❤

i love how she says what she likes about it too! for the scorpion she only said not enough meat and that is has a beef jerky texture, which is not something that she would like, but isn’t necessarily negative and if someone does like that they won’t be put off by it. she has a very good choice of words

This girl, she never ever speaks bad about any food..even if she doesn't like one, she put her words in such a way that it doesn't hurt anybody's feeling or setiments attatched to the cultural significance of food. Eating scorpions and spiders and grasshopper etc is normal in certain places. You normally just taste the spices and herbs it was cooked in and is crunchy
