Profile:
David Loh has more than 30 years of working experience in the financial sector, specializing in risk management. In his previous position as MD of advisory services with Octagon Advisors - a boutique financial and risk management consultancy - he had successfully undertaken a number of consulting projects for large regional banks in implementing the Basel framework, credit rating model development and validation, market risk management, capital management, treasury and market risk organization and process review.
Before joining Octagon, David was the EVP for Risk Management & Compliance at UOB. He was responsible for all aspects of the bank’s risk management and compliance functions.
As a senior risk management practitioner in Singapore, he had chaired the Market Risk Task Force of the Association of Banks in Singapore and was a member of the ABS’s risk management standing committee.
David had also held senior positions the Singapore International Monetary Exchange. In the early part of his career, David was with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
