Cv players: I am become death, destroyer of worlds…

Just an FYI, I love the spotting changes and the fuel mechanic! The damage output is just obviously WAY TOO HIGH WG always said these changes were subject to change but wow, how did this even make it to live EDIT: For future reference Hakuryu was nerfed within a week, scaling back it's damage, bomb accuracy and plane HP.

I wonder if this much cv dmg is due to people forgetting that the cv change to spotting has happened allowing cv's to get dmg in early softening up everyone for when the actual fighting begins. Like you have first choice of your dinner item before anyone gets into range

@@DuttySosig but that has kinda always been the case for battleships get caught broadside after a turn expect to get torped for a significant amount of dmg and spend ur dcp because of a flood or your rudder/engine being knocked out.

Looks like until this shit gets hotfixed BB mains are either going to have to become DD mains or quit because that Kurfurst at the start had his time well and truly wasted, there's no chance he loads in to another match after that shithousery.

As a BB main who has talked to other BB mains on Reddit, we're taking breaks. We were already the weakest class, now there's no point in even trying. None of my games were over 20k damage before carriers had me back to port. And that's with sticking around AA ships for protection

DD’s were terrible in this game. Didn’t even have to kill PG. Just spot him and let one of those helpless BBs send him to port. For BBs to have a chance they are going to need decent DDs doing the unglamorous work more than ever.

To be blunt, the game is straight cancer at the minute, cv's sending your ass back to port two minutes into the game, HE spam from cruisers sitting behind islands, matches with four to five destroyers, i love the game but as a BB main its complete ass.

Two ship take damage mind u,if one ship most probally not all four will hit one ship, if you take into perspective,they reduce CV influence in game but buff as individual unit.

Played about thirty minutes of this and then stopped. This may be the end of me playing this game for a bit. Worst experience I’ve had……

I watched the live stream towards the start and saw you get 200k + in your first game. People were asking if you would make it into a vid and you said 'maybe but I might get more later'. I stopped watching soon after that, seems like it went even better (or worse?) after that...

Change gameplay,less camping.. AA build,Brawler build. Stay with group. All this CV "buff" will be gone.

Played as Montana yesterday against a team with a CV and two De 7 in it. Got 42 aircraft kills and was down to less than 30% hp within 3 mins. Game's a joke!

This is what happens when the people who develop this shit don't actually play it.

Remember kids. If it's a rework for carriers, you know it's not going to be good. If THIS doesn't kill the game, then Wargaming will have to sink even lower to put an end with this. Hell, Flamu thinks this is better than what's being displayed on PC.

@@treystroeder588 Agreed. No way should carrier borne aircraft have the power to do ludicrous damage numbers to just one battleship. And the faster restoration times? No carrier has a frigging factory under its flight deck reproducing new aircraft. You have what you got and that's it.

Carriers are where they should be - monsters of the seas - just like during WW2. If anything, DD's need limited # of torps, Cruisers and BB's need limited # of shells... THEN we got a game!!!!

One thing could help, make all BB have AA defensive fire AND industructable AA mount

Unfortunately quality control in Legends becomes worse and worse with every update. Managed to play around 8 games today and 6 of them had CVs on top of both teams.. Some with some crazy 3.5k+ XP, like wtf WG...

Here i thought subs would be the breaking point for me that cause me to quit play this game. But after this update, i think this is it for me. 35 torpedoes, 31 bomb hits and almost 400K damage. I don't care what type of meth your using. You can not argue that is balanced.

@@DuttySosig have you been in situation when DD try to capture point and get hound by CV plane and die with all bullet fly to you.. And other BB and sometime cruiser crybaby asking for intel. When DD unable to leave spot because of flying plane are every route out. How about cruiser when give DD support but got detected by airplane anyway and got one shot. And you if playing CV you have to choose between to support you ally or make shitty dps yourself. This change is good

@@AirBatuCampur00 I play DDs often. Whilst it was annoying pre patch to be focused by a CV they didn’t do much damage and I’d simply kite from other enemies until the planes were gone. Now I get even more freedom true, the changes however have made the game miserable for BBs and Cruisers. You don’t know what you’re talking about, sit this one out champ.

@@DuttySosig he play on tv CV of course he will that much of damage, because other vessel higher hp pool compare with other tier. If CV so good, then you play yourself, i am sure if matchmaking cannot be done due to too many CV player, they will change it. But I dont think so it will happen. Because other type of ship still be enjoyable to play, and i think i gonna change some slow playstyle.

Been having great games with DDs, faster BBs like Iowa for positioning and guns aplenty BBs like Kansas now that I'm not getting blasted by everything off spawn with spotting changes

and this is why hakuryu on pc drops 2 torps each instead of 4 lmao

These are the new most powerful ships in the game. Forget your Ohio, Montana, Yamato, Kurfurst, or Schlieffen. Playing a battleship is the worst it has EVER been. You get farmed for ALL OF YOUR HEALTH within a few minutes and there’s nothing you can even do. You can’t dodge, and you can’t defend. You just sit and die. Why should we play anymore? A gameplay loop like that and people are just going to leave. This is so damn broken it’s abysmal. Whoever thought the CV’s needed a massive buff needs to WAKE UP. They should have never added this cancer to the game, never should’ve..

Well i like the idea of having more bombs to drop to get even a chance of hitting say destroyer ships and fuel for the balance range but holy damn the damage is insane

Well, a new era has begun.

I think they knew exactly what they were doing. They ruined wot console with arty..slow tanks become obsolete because car-tank spots you in 2-seconds and then 2 arties blow you up to your spawn point. Now, already annoying CVs get this kind of devastation and you can't basically do nothing to evade. Squadron after squadron, listening music and chewing gum and going to bathroom while IN GAME, because you can! No one's going to bother you for a long time. It's not balanced at all.

You can use Iona sure, just don't use her special skill on slot 2 and use one way ticket instead. Both commanders are 95% identical

I use Al Shoukaku for that little bit of extra speed wish it was 10% but 36 knots ain't half bad for a carrier.

While CV damage potential is now stupid crazy, I would also mention torpedo damage reduction. Poor GK (RIP) only has 25% damage reduction so if Hakuryu’s torpedoes do a max of 10k per hit, GK is still going to take 7500 damage per hit and if all torps hit, that’s around 30k damage. Yamato on the other hand has 55% torpedo damage reduction and will only take roughly 4500 damage per hit, maxing out at 18k if all torps hit. I would agree that torp damage needs a nerf, maybe by 1000 - 2000 damage per hit, some BB’s would need their torpedo damage reduction buffed, GK could have 35 - 45% perhaps.

Now this feels like WW2 in the Battle Of The Pacific

The amount of people whining about this is insane. People really wanted CVs to lose their spotting ability without gaining personal damage in return. Also I find it hilarious that a BB or DD or torpedo CA can dev strike someone and that's fine but if a CV gets a good run off on a target then that's TERRIBLE.

The biggest reason most people hate CVs is bcuz unlike any other surface ship except destroyers(which I’ll get to in a minute) have to expose themselves to return fire in order to do their damage. A CV can quite literally farm 200k in the first 5 fucking minutes of a game without ever being seen. And while a DD can do its damage while unseen, it’s not without risk unlike a CV. DDs have to grab capture points and preform counter DD roles. CVs don’t have to worry about any of that shit. Edit: Personally I didn’t give af about CV spotting, that’s what they should’ve been for. So idk what morons were crying about being spotted by some planes that don’t do shit to most people.
