i have three of them

first we have three people putting their games in a car stereo now we have somebody that decided to take that idea to a whole new level of putting it in a DVD player

The Dreamcast games play buzzing noises on track 1 since the DVD player is trying to read the game data as an audio format which it was not intended for, resulting in corrupted-sounding noise. Some games like Shenmue also contained a custom warning voiced by a character in the game (in the case of Shenmue each disc had its own warning) with an extra warning about not attempting to play track 1)

0:43 The DVD player was playing CD-ROM format which is not supposed to happen. That's why it played that loud screeching noise. Most audio systems nowadays will not play track 1 on CD-ROM discs at all to avoid speakers being damaged, but not all will be able to stop it.

Dreamcast disc uses gdrom not cd rom that’s why the DVD player acting it like a cd audio

What it said on 0:47: Warning, this disc is for use only for Sega Dreamcast.

The reason crash bash has Spyro on it is that Insomniac and Naughty Dog were close at the time, and they included demos for their games on each others disc. I know that if you played Spyro 3, on the press start screen you could hold L1 + R2 + Square to play the Crash Bash Demo

From what I've heard its playing game data, the warning is there because playing it will probably damage your device's speakers.

that "weird buzzing noise" is actually game data. most modern cd/dvd players dont play the file, though.

Putting a game in a DVD player is a lot like putting a PS1/2/3 disc in a PS4. Nothing happens!

I think the reason why that Dreamcast made that obnoxious buzzing sound was because i think track 1 contains game data as explained by the Dreamcast when trying to play tracks in CD mode. And they say when playing track 2 that there is game data on track 1 and not to play it.

the spyro file was a actual game demo when you input the game cheat code. the crash remastered has an honor to the cheat code but no spyro demo just a way of recognition

1. Wii discs aren't DVDs, they're Wii Optimal Discs, even if they are pretty similar. 2. I have a DVD player/VCR hybrid

Most DVD's nowadays are DVD+, but Wii games are DVD-, the difference is the way the code is engraved on the disc.

im from country from where Niko Bellic is, so im from balkan serbia: Zdravo, Sta ima.

I was able to hear the warning, by putting my ear next to the speaker.

I think I read somewhere that Wii and Game Cube discs spin counter-clockwise, hence why any other player won't even recognize that a disc has been inserted.

It looked like it said lord like it’s praying 😂😂

Old trick. You can place PS1 games into a sterio and sometimes get the soundtrack.

Pushing a video to 10 minutes best method: Step 1 show that the player is working properly Step 2 put some random games Step 3 only at the end of the video insert the disk you told you were going to check out in the video title

The reason why most of the modern console games have the bad disc error is because they use the Blu-Ray format and you were playing it in a DVD player But still it is fun

The spyro folder is a demo that you can access using a button combo in the main menu of crash bash

In the Sega Dreamcast disk, the first track has game data that damages the audio system (which is the reason why they do a buzzing noise on the DVD player).

long time ago, i put an original psx cd (resident evil 3), in a standar dvd player and some folders appeared on the menu, something like "data", "commandos", "objects", "sounds", "weapons", "characters", "ugvgdrr", and so on. The only thing that i couldo was watch all the cinematic scenes that where stored in one folder.

Blu-ray player might work with play station games because they run on blue ray

I did something similar, I tried a windows 98, xp, and vista discs (also Mac OS leopard) and they all showed some cool things. The windows OSes showed a readme.txt file with the usual windows blue with white text. Mac OS showed the files in it. I also tried an AMD driver disc but it didn’t do anything.

If you use special combination of buttons while playing Crash Bash you will launch demo of Spyro 3 and vice versa. That's what Spyro 3 folder was doing at disc.

I made my DVD player from 2002 play GTA V 4K 120fps.
