That was my method, but I learned that the plunger is a band aid fix. You need to turn that stopper counterclockwise, pull up and remove it. Then, thoroughly clean it with a toothbrush, then use a little scraper or better, let it soak for a few minutes in some type of lime remover, like Lime Away to remove any lime deposits. Also, pull out the guck still inside the drain and clean inside the drain with a toothbrush too. Otherwise, you will forever be using a plunger and it will get worse and worse.

Keep it open and place the plunger around it
I bloody tried this and it didnt work
Drano and dish soap works like a charm and breaks down all of that build up that in the p trap and in the sink overflow.

Never use commercial drain cleaner it eats up your pipes…
I also poured hot boiling water down the sink afterwards
This is just common sense people

fascinating.....so the cockroaches boogers caused the cloq drain? so the plunger by killing the cockroaches is preventing new boogers?@@howtofixitworkshop
I tried this on my kitchen sink won’t ever do that again
And that is why I do not use that type of plug and use an insert in the drain to catch my hubby's whiskers. No clogs if I keep the inserted strainer clear.

Mines is draining but it’s a little slower than usual. I cleaned the gooseneck pipe and all. Idk what’s causing this issue

I hate to so this, but I shut off the water valve and remove and clean out the P-trap. But, the plunger produces enough agitation to break up the clogged drain. I'll try that next time.
It helped me thanks
The most annoying thing ever
The bad thing about it is your moving the pipes underneath the sink which could cause a leak
@nutcruncher

then you can just check on the pipes after and re-screw them

@marcoantoniosolis5199 nope.....it stil clogged.....i even took the trap off(it had some black stuff in it) then i put it back on and i thought that did it but i was wrong. i think im gonna have to snake the pipe that goes into the wall.
Unclogged in seconds! Thanks!!! 🎉

Why not pull the stopper, pick the detritus out of the drain and off the stopper - then replace the stopper?
@howtofixitworkshop

A lot of modern faucet assemblies have the stopper built into the drain with a plastic screw on bolt that holds them in place. If you unscrew that from under the sink, you'll have a big mess
Looks and it’s easy 👍, but… not always works ☹️
