What Happens When You Get DENGUE FEVER (and how to treat it)

Фильм және анимация

In this video we share our experience of contracting dengue fever in Bali in November 2021 and our thoughts on the health care system in Bali.
We were so grateful for the doctors and nurses that helped us through this extremely difficult time and helped us make a speedy recovery from Dengue fever.
We hope that in us sharing that this happened to us might help prevent it happening to some one else on their trip! If you have any questions please let us know in the comments!

I also got Dengue in Bali - what I didn`t know - my test in Indonesia was negative, because this quick test only works on two specific days - back home they tested me on antibodies and it was positive. So I recommend to visit hospital of your home country if you have been sick abroad.

Wow! I’ve heard so many scary stories of ppl getting Dengue in Bali. I seen a single KZreadr get really sick and ended up in the hospital. When she got better she went back to her western home country to have her parents oversee that she fully recovers. In all my visits to Bali from 2011-2020 every winter I never got Dengue. I usually kept a fan running when I slept, because that is when they would usually bite.

Which brand of Dengue-related mosquito repellant would you recommend and do you suggest wearing it all the time (morning, noon, and night) and applied to all parts of the body that are exposed? Thanks for your thoughts. I'm heading to Bali in November 2023, which is rainy season. First time there.
