Actually legit, I use Custom NPCs, build floating structures and powerful units cant stop the Parasites They last for a few ingame weeks and I lose a foothold because a tree crawled its way into the base

​@@juanelgamer4569I don't think so, they are very different styles, one is vanilla plus style horror "the sculk infection" based off a vanilla thing, while the other fungal infection is a more typical media infection coming from a fungus and stuff, more archetypical and fantastical, while parasites is straight up horror

So from what I can gather. The Skulk is much better at spreading across blocks/surface area. However, the Fungus is better at infecting mobs, which ultimately makes it the winner.

Not rly, skulk spawn more enemy when you fight aginst it by destroy it or clear. Infestend can only kill enemys so skulk not see it as danger

These two plus the parasite mod really make me hope that when thaumcraft finally comes back it'll come with a full taint overhaul that can compete with this

Sculk horde mod, the spore and From another world are working together to make their mods compatible so their mobs don't attack eachother, but with config you can make them hostile to each other

i feel like my favourite genre of minecraft "horror" mod is the infection mod, whole landscapes covered in a hostile flesh, the sun blocked out by clouds of spores, the depths of the deepest caves painting everything a deep purple

The fungal infection looks a lot like the trypophobia sculk concept (The Hollow). I LOVE IT...

I love the little detail in the music at 2:30, it's from the game StarCraft and a there is a race of aliens from that game called the Zerg, and they infest humans and can cover ground in infestation. I think that's some neat choice of music.

I would love a video where it just letting both infections naturally grow and see how the world looks like after a couple of in game days but at the end of the video I can see your computer having struggle running, so I don’t think that’s possible.

yeah, sadly it take alot of computing power to let all run for a long time, but at each update the mods are getting more optimized so maybe one day I can let it run for a long time

There should be a creeper infection mod that goes off the idea that the creeper is like a fungus that spreads spores when I blows up it would be cool to see it just infect mobs making new and more dangerous creeper variants that look unique compared to the default creeper like mixed forms

There is a mod for that, actually. Organic Creepers, though it's not really an infection mod. Creeper grow from plants that appear like grass. When they reach maturity, a creeper spawns, and when that creeper explodes, it grows creeper shoots, or, crops or something, on the dirt in the crater.

I like how at 1:00 , chaos just ensues and there's just peaceful music playing in the background.

Meanwhile the warden, Don't mind me, just waiting here at the deep dark.

It was quite obvious that sculk would lose, its still a new mod and is incomplete so maybe once it updates you can do a rematch.

Not only is it new, its designed to react and attack players, not entitys. If a strong mob walks into the horde attacking it, it wont send all of its forces. But if a player so much as steps 5 feet near a spawner it sends a huge wave at it. As well as from what i saw, the sculk enderman couldnt properly attack the other mobs cause its designed for player combat. Just doesnt seem fair to me

⁠@@CornMan-ic4bbI also wonder if he went to the sculk tomb before begging the recording. From what I’ve experienced the sculk infection spreads without disturbing the tomb but it isn’t as aggressive until awakened. Once disturbed the sculk seems to transform into an apocalyptic threat

what a beautiful war. I like this type of stuff. Very appealing to watch.

the last battle is the best one i have seen ever. it's so intense even the commentator is confused by the forces involved in that battle also the epic music begining at 7:22 when the sieger spawns just makes it so much better it's like a legendary battle from game of throne with huge proportions.

bro used terraria corruption and crimson themes while on the infected biomes, very fitting

Aliens vs predator the og. Imagine the chaos of all the infection mods battling though. The ones I know of are Parasite, Aliens V Predators, mutant craft, infectum, flesh that hates, spore, sculk, tainted from Thaumcraft, and I think the abyss/abyss chapter 2 have the tainted or something similar? Maybe I’m wrong. And maybe the wither storm would be considered a infection. Anyways do you know anymore? (I’m reading comments and adding to this.)

From what I've seen they both do, I know the sculk mod outright calls it's "central intelligence" a Gravemind

when scape and run comes to 1.19.2(it wont get ported but if it was).

A war between two infections Everything else caught in the crossfire

In my opinion, the parasite mod is the most detailed and 'realistic'

Imagine sculk infection + parasites + scape and run

1 Scape and Run Parasites 2 Fungal Infection:Spore 3 Sculk Infection

Now all we need is Scape and Run Parasites against the Sculk

This feels like something that would be uploaded on 2016/2017

The Spore has no limits in how it spreads over blocks, the Sculk does. That alone puts the Sculk at a huge disadvantage, so of course the Spore will prevail. But both are no match for the OG horror that is the Parasites.

I imagine in the last second a fucking ancient dreadnought appears from SR:P and kills everything in its path

I think scape and run will always be way more intense, it's like comparing a civic type R to a 488 Pista

Know this is a couple months late but I don't think this was a proper test because you gave the spores their equivalent of the skills brain of the bat
