I thank Allah every day that He invited me to Islam. I reverted back in 1995 when I was 21, but I wanted to learn more before doing dawah with my parents. Subhanallah, they both died before I did it. They died suddenly, just six weeks apart, aged 47 and 51. I wish I’d talked to them more about our deen. They were good, kind people who supported my decision to accept Islam and I leave them in Allah’s Mercy. Brothers and sisters, if there is someone you love who isn’t Muslim, don’t delay. Talk to them about Islam today. Don’t be like me and leave it until it’s too late. I pray that all the good people find their way to Islam and to the love and mercy of Allah SWT. Ameen.

But I know, in this pain, that there is wisdom and lessons. Allah SWT is the best of planners and although I have been through many, many trials over the years, I always say Alhumdullilah. I believe that many people are practising Islam, even without knowing it. Yes, Muslims practice it in the best way, but many people who don't call themselves Muslim practice Islam also. They believe in one God and perform righteous deeds instead of wrongful ones. Allah knows us best, so He will judge according. No-one will be wronged.

Salam. I think the definition of good and bad has changed completely. Allah is the creator and It is HIS responsibility to tell us, what is good in HIS eyes and what is bad in HIS eyes. Which HE clearly did. Allah, THE ALL MIGHTY as a creator deserves to be praised and worshiped. Not believing in the creator is very bad. Rest of the good things comes after that. This verse applies for only those who came before islam. I can argue this to be the case because in the quran it similarly states that anyone who seeks a religion other than islam, never will it be accepted of him and he will be among the losers in the hereafter.

Thank you for sharing that verse. Some other accepted translations from scholars translate the word "Allah" as "God" because in the context of the times and location the word "Allah" meant "God" which helps make the rest of the verse have sense, that even our brothers of other Abrahamic faiths, believers in God who do good will have their reward and don't need to fear.

@GREEN-sj7pz like I said, if any NON-MUSLIM sees it. I understood the footage perfectly because I am a Muslim. The animation shows a guy with a beard and a turban bowing to the statue of Baal, which is from an animated movie that I believe only Muslims have watched it. People associate beard and turban with us Muslims only, and most people, non-Muslims, do not attribute such getup with older jahilia Arabs of that time. So, just to be on the safe side, it is better to choose a different type of footage because, again, non-Muslims watch these types of videos. There is already a misconception amongst the non-Muslims that we Muslims worship the Kaa'ba and a rock because of the propaganda by Christian and other missionaries and hate groups. It's better to be on the safe side and not add to their misconception and confuse them further, which may stop them from further research. That was my point with my comment. Salaam.

From surah al-Baqarah ayat 7: “ Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment. “ the ones that Allah has sealed their hearts, they don’t know their hearts are sealed so they continue in their transgressions. Make Dua that Allah grants you closeness to Himself but YOU have to make that first step towards Him, as insignificant as it may seem to you. It’s magnified in the eyes of Allah. We will always make Dua for our brothers and sisters, but YOU also help us in getting that Dua answered by moving towards Him Wa ta Ala. May Allah guide us to Himself in this Dunya before an inevitable day in which we are taken to account for the deeds/misdeeds we have committed. Remember Death often, remember the day of standing, remember your purpose - that’s what’s helped me. May Allah guide us all.

الحمدلله May Allah grant us all the highest ranks of Janah.

This verse applies to those who came before islam, that is before the prophet muhammad. If you clearly heard of islam, that is you heard the prophet muhammad SWT message about God which is to accept that there is none worthy of worship except Allah (Arabic term for God) and the prophet muhammad SWT is his messenger, but still reject then you will go to hell.

I am sad that my father thinks that I am crazy when I said god came to me in a dream and answered me. I hope god forgives him. I am learning as I was Christian and know nothing of Islam but I know now. He is a good man and has been good to me

Here are some ways to earn deeds after death: 1) Give a copy of the Qur'an to someone. Each time one reads from it you gain. 2) Donate a wheelchair to a hospital. Each time a sick person uses it you gain. 3) Participate in building a masjid. 4) Place a watercooler in a public space. 5) Plant a tree. You gain whenever a person or an animal sits in it's shade or eats from it. 6) And the easiest of all, share this message with people.

God promised Hagar that Ishmael, as a son of Abraham, would become a great nation (Genesis 21:17-18). The fulfillment is recorded in Genesis 25:12-18-Ishmael had twelve sons who became great rulers and eventually a nation of people. That came about in this way: Hagar, who was Egyptian herself, found a wife from Egypt for her son, and Ishmael settled in the desert of Paran (Genesis 21:21). Brother Islam is the truth please accept it, there is none worthy of worship except Allah and the prophet muhammad peace be upon him is the last messenger of Allah. I hope you convert to Islam for your sake and because then any good you do such as worshipping Allah and giving zakat (giving money to charity), and fasting in ramadan etc, will also give me the same reward as I shared the knowledge with you.

If you are a 'good person' to others but behind closed doors your bad to your family that doesn't really make you a good person. Likewise, if your only good to others yet dont acknowledge your creator and fulfil the purpose of your creation despite having the knowledge of it then that is the worst of bad. The only way we can have objective morality is if its literally given by our creator which alhamdulilah we have through the religion of Islam.

It's like we are scared of someone who we know dont hate us but love us and if we do something bad things he will be disappointed example like our father or mother. The Jews say, none will enter heaven except us. And the Christians say, none will enter Paradise except those who belong to our religion... And did not God say in his book, to such people, to come forth with their proof if what they say is true? Islam should not be joining the ranks of the exclusive religionists. Because this is saying things about God that we know not and we only conjecture. “Those who believed, those who follow the Jewish [scriptures], Nazarenes or Sabeans, whoever believed in God... will have their reward” (surah 2:62 parall. 5:69). Are any of the people mentioned above Muslims? No they are not. Yet they are promised their reward. Know what is in God's book and understand it before we start giving soliloquies about religion! Furthermore, if Allah makes the exception to let those into paradise who did not hear of the Prophet or who have a misunderstanding of the Prophet and Islam, then the exception is likely to become the rule. Because most people on planet Earth right now have a complete misunderstanding and misrepresentation of Islam. That is slowly changing, but most are in ignorance. And this ignorance is perpetuated by the propaganda machine that speaks loudly all across the earth at this time. Not to mention the fact there are so many people who suffer from emotional or psychological disorders these days. And those who have turned their back on God because of religious abuse and trauma at the hands of charlatans in the guise of clergyman and spiritual leaders. Allah knows best about all of this, we do not. We should not judge or exclude! Do not be like those Jews and Christians mentioned in God's book that say none will enter Paradise except us! This is nothing but clear conjecture!

How will God guide a people who disbelieved after having believed, and had witnessed that the Messenger is true, and the clear proofs had come to them? God does not guide the unjust people. Know your subject and understand what is written in the book. These verses in surah 3 are speaking of those individuals who fled Mecca and migrated to where the Prophet and the believers were staying. But then later they became full of fear that the pagan armies might destroy the Muslims and some of them regretted leaving their homes and families in Mecca behind. And so they denounced Islam and the Prophet and returned to the pagan community. They are those who believed and then disbelieved and chose other than Islam after they witnessed the truth. Read the whole surah and take it in context. And perhaps read some commentary on the history of the surah and the meaning of its verses. Therefore I am not taking the verse out of context, we have to understand it in the entirety of its setting with the verses around it and to whom it is referring and why.

This is what the verse refers to. ‘Most people have a complete misunderstanding of Islam’ Simply not true. Also, many problems with this statement that lead to your following points. 1. The people being judged is much more than just the people of todays time, we’re talking about everyone in history and the future. 2. A lot of people know exactly what Islam is but due to their own biased, greedy and dishonest agendas, will try to make it seem like something it’s not to put people off, especially when seeing the religion grow. 3. Following the first point, the exception likely won’t become the rule considering the ratio of true religious to non religious people from the beginning of time up till now. You don’t know what people’s understanding of Islam is, one person can literally be convinced of Islam by literally hearing the Quran in the radio but they choose to ignore it, only Allah will know on the day of judgement.
