It worked for me. I used the solosuit template and got a stay and motion granted. The plaintiff lawyer was pissed and cussing to herself.

Will filing bankruptcy stop a scheduled arbitration hearing?

It probably depends on the state rules for bankruptcy in which you reside.

Do you think arbitration would work on getting a DISCOVER lawsuit for $12,000 dropped? Does Discover have to pay the arbitration fees or is it split.

You will have to read your arbitration clause to know who is responsible for arbitration fees. One of our SoloSuit customers file a motion to compel arbitration in his case against Discover, and the case got dismissed. Is there a deadline to file arbitration once a judge grants it?

Every state has unique deadlines. Check your state's rules of civil procedure to learn more.

Why do people keep saying arbitration is expensive? The AAA rule assess almost all costs to the business, not the debtor. It’s so lopsided it’s absurd. $225 to the consumer and thousands to the company. It’s right there on their web site. AAA rules say that their fees can NOT be reallocated to the consumer.

Some other arbitration organizations may charge the consumer, though.
