For some strange reason, when you go to Guarma before chapter 5, the towns wont have a red border so the invisible sniper cannot insta-kill you. But what is even weirder is how the guarma police (or soldiers) will just greet you like you belong there. Until you try to steal a donkey that is.

@@hunterrobison53 I have not tried it yet but can you survive new austin sniper if you enable Invincibility cheat from a trainer for Arthur or is it just designed such a way that sniper shot hitting player means game over? I am just curious about that.

the main reason why people hate guarma is because players are used to having all the freedom ingame they are doing whatever they want having fun going wherever they want then chapter 5 happens and players are stuck with it they just feel like finishing it asap and gain the freedom back thats why it feels soo boring

Theres nothing to do on guarma. Other than completing the missions and going back. Its the worst part of the game by far

Just so you know Adichu you need to block Arthur's head with the pig, but it's still quite inconsistent. And guards like to constantly spawn behind you which makes it near impossible to escape. But nice job that you still managed to escape

@@Adichu I went through the town that you tried first. If you're fast enough you can outrun the sniper without the pig by running south then north up the cliff that Arthur can't usually climb up. But then the guards will just spawn behind you even if the sniper doesn't get you so maybe cornfields are better, if it avoids guard spawns. Then I think you just need to do the slide glitch once you reach the coast of saint denis like you did which I never thought of when I tried. But the mission method is probably the best as I believe if you save the game you will just be teleported back to guarma. Love the rdr2 vids btw Correction: sometimes the sniper covers the entirety of guarma's out of map, it's clearly buggy as the game doesn't want you to leave, would be funny if there was some sort of unused camp at Lakay too

I did this in my free time, i tried not using the gun slide method and i made it across the water near annesburg without using the method, it took me like 6 hours, fun though, definitely worth it

​@@Adichu I know I'm late but no, no boat, the current is too strong, I was near the weird part of the map northeast, thats still considered apart of the map, I swam across, went west and made it, but you have to be prepared to swim across, the first time I drowned right before reaching the other side, some tonics work just fine

Thieves landing?? Hell no, I get shot to hell by the sniper, I tried it, I went north east, not new Austin/west Elizabeth, as I said, the weird wiggly part of the map that is for some reason considered still apart of it, near Charlotte's place and north east of annesburg​@@perlin1350

Hell no, I just get shot to hell every time I get near New Austin or Blackwater, as I said I went NORTHEAST, so northeast of annesburg and near Charlotte's home, the weird wiggly part thats still for some reason apart of the map, I crossed the water just barely and made it across to the other side thats considered apart of the map

You, the player, are the sniper. Your line of sight is the path of the bullet. you need to block Aurther's head in such a manner that *YOU* cannot see it while in the sniper area.

On my first play through I was so pissed when I got sent to Guarma. I had just bought a bunch of cool guns and a $1000 horse and I was stoked and then I get sent to an island where I can’t use any of my new toys. I speed ran all the missions to get back to the mainland

If you try and go Anywhere that the game doesn’t want you to in guarma the game will just try and shoot you until you die, trying to make it look like a cop or something killed you. In my experience the same thing happens if you go to New Austin as Arthur, if you somehow manage to get past the black water area and you cross the stream to get to new Austin you’ll just get phantom shot at, if you make it around 10 meters you’ll die even at full health

Guarma should have been a area with there own unique guns horses and hideout.. it was just bare and boring

Fun fact: Guarma is actually connecte to the main land via Mexico so to go back tro the main land you would have to travel up the mountains go thru the noclpi zone and then swin the river to the mainland

Have you tried ringing all the bells in red dead? The one in rhodes and the random bells around the map are something im trying to look for personally

Adichu, I just did this. Made it to Catfish Jackson using a boat that I found. (Made it to shore!) I wanted to buy Arthur some new clothes, but the shops were closed. Went to Shady Bell, and like an idiot, decided to shoot the bell! Had to start over, no shooting guns!! Im going to try again later today, I want to see if I can go to New Austin. I'll let you know. easier way is to just roam around for a while without going to the camp in guarma or doing the mission and one of the gang members will come to find you as if you were on the main land just not back to camp for a long time and you can ride back to the camp with them lmao.
