Too bad every Paper Mario game after TTYD got worse and completely neglected the roots of the franchise. Super Paper Mario was fun, but it felt like an entirely different game. The 3DS and Wii U games, oh boy, I don't even know where to begin.

It's hard when most of the 64/TTYD Dev team has been removed and Captain Miyamoto shows up and says "No anything fun, unique, interesting, or deep" SPM holds up well to the other 2, but Sticker Trash and Cum Splash are utter garbage.

When Stryder and Shesez collab, the game doesn't understand what's happening so it trys to fix this which leads to game crashing. You could do a sequence of frame perfect jumps to maneuver around this but proceeding to the next video will softlock the game.

Being Good Crashes Paper Mario.

Something about that last bit as Princess Peach escaping all on her own without Mario's help, the player having to dodge left and right to avoid crashing the game, the walk down the star bridge back to the mushroom kingdom, and seeing all of the broken buildings at the side. Then the Princess goes to sleep in the Mario Brothers' house, not to mention that music box playing.. It all feels suprisingly earned, and even scripted lol

This is my favorite game ever ♥. I loved that Princess Peach escaping the castle thing, I always dreamed to do that XD. Awesome video.

In the recent gamexplain video you were in I agree why haven’t you been recruited as part of them I mean boundary break is literally EXPLAINING what happens in GAMES if you fumble with the camera and explain why certain things happen that we can’t see

I remember my parents getting me paper mario when it was brand new, almost 2 decades ago, I was sooo excited by this game and then the very beginning when Bowser beat me, I was stumped. I knew in my heart Mario could never lose to Bowser. I was sure I did something wrong. As soon as I died I reset the console in a panic. I restarted, talking to everyone I could and trying every attack, and died again. I reset the game over and over, eventually tears filling my eyes and frustrated, I let Bowser kill me. I pretended I wasn't embarrassed of myself when I kept playing the game as intended. Man I wasted several hours trying to beat Bowser in the first fight.

I was sad there wasn't more Sequence Break on the channel. Thank you for bringing this series back! I know there are a ton of games that are interesting when done out of order. I can think of one example of intentional sequence breaking left in by the devs of a game - Tales of Symphonia. You're supposed to take a boat from a small coastal town to the next story location - but there's a land bridge that can take you to the continent as well. If you do so, you'll face extremely difficult enemies for your level and the story sequence will change. Soooo what happens if you take the land bridge, then go back to the coastal town? Normally, that option is locked off... but you can mess with the story code ;) I'm just throwing it out there!

i like the sequence break at the end the best peach is just like "this whole bowser castle thing just isn't for me" and she just dips out

Paper Mario! Paper Mario! Wouldn’t it be great if this next direct magically included a good paper Mario game reveal? A man can dream can’t he? Anyways, I’m very happy people are still talking about, playing, and making paper Mario videos. It’s a series unlike any other. It sort of reminds me of the DKC series because it feels like such a great game series that it almost sits by itself outside the realm of gaming!

Oh yea, I loved this. I remember playing Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time with a cheat module - I won the fight I should have lost and I think it said something along the lines of "You shouldnt have won. Just act like you lost."

I can really appreciate that the whole video is in an older aspect ratio; gives it a really cool vibe that I adore
